I am making good progress with the farming. Not everything went as I expected, I had to drop some ideas. Anyway, growing stuff is not the only thing to do. You need to be able to make useful and tasty things from your crops:

I had to make large changes in crafting/smelting mechanics to make it doable. Hopefully they will be useful for other things as well.

Hey kaalus can u add an AI that horses eat and will regain health. U just throw food at them then they’re gonna put theirs heads down and the meat will be gone. Also add armor for u and add armor for the horses.

Would be nice to have a separate oven from furnaces. Might make your job easier. Furnace to smelt things, an oven for cooking food. I did suggest on your forums for a campfire/cooking fire for out surviving In the wilderness too. Could be a source of light, decoration, and a quick way to grill some fish rather than building a giant smelting furnace. All good progress though, farming is most important for me mostly for decoration more than anything else. I doubt that food will be an issue, I’ve got tons of bird meat stockpiled already. Building farms is fun, and makes the world look nicer. Even though I never need them in MC, I always build them because they look good. Hope we get lots of veggie types to plant too.
Maybe a millstone block, where you place in all your rye in a stack and then over time it converts it to flour? That could automate the process a little, and new blocks to place in buildings are always nice. I’m already planning my windmill where I’m going to store my rye.
Hey, would it be possible to code it that greenhouses work in colder climates? As in, you make a celing of glass and it raises the temperature inside and makes plants easier to grow in that room? I’ll still make them anyway, but would be cool if it would have a practical benefit.

(Btw, I don’t care about multiplayer as sharing a world means we have asynchronous multiplayer anyway. I would like pistons though, for your next big project. Hidden doors, automated farming … pistons are the block that really open up this game for incredible things to be created.)

For that greenhouse idea I really like that. I also thought of a new block more or less that fits into that idea. A flower pot block. Instead of just growing plants on dirt or grass, a pot block for indoor planting would be nice. What ya’ll think?

Kaalus, SC survival mode is way better then MC, but what MC has u beat in is that they have multiplayer. I think if SC would have multiplayer it would be the #1 game. It’s because people love plying with there friends and other players online. So may be that’s something u should do a.s.a.p. I hope that’s something we with all see soo. :)
This multiplayer is really bad. Hope Kaalus can make better multipayer is SC.

One thing I have a problem with is that when an animal is close by, (particularly cattle and horses) is that if it is near the block I want to dig or place (doesn’t have to be very near), I hit the animal, which means I could suddenly get attacked by a bull or the horse does a runner. It happens even if it is not visible in the screen, like when it is behind me. It is very frustrating.

An oven would be nice. It would add the extra that many games like survivalcraft have been missing. It would open up many possibilities in the way we design our homes and decorate them.

I think there should be a little bit more fantasy to the game jus to make it that much more interesting. Just nothing to wild of a fantasy like teleporters. I’m just saying, its a game not reality so have some wild fun with it. Keep up with the great work kaalus, ur doing awesome.
Things that i would like to see: Doctor tools ( needles ect.), Character customization (gender choosing, character choosing, and or your own skin you make in a little mini game), Lots of crops, and pets! I want a tame coyote!

I think you should add a bubble meter. When I’m in a cave and I see water I don’t know how long I can swim through it. It would help a lot. Maybe replace the hearts w/ bubbles or put it below the hearts. :)

I got a nexus 7 tablet and cant wait to get the new update on it! I had always played on my old captivate phone until now but the game is way even better on the tablet! Runs amazingly smooth too where the old device used to have problems with freezes and crashing and lags , especially if my world filesize got too big.
re the older devices i have been very lucky my lumia, 2nd model even with i think 200mg world still runs very well. but is very quick as a phone. no a great phone….
Installed it on my wifes kindle fire, and also installed a version he released as a prototype to help kaalus with some earlier problems with older kindles and has always worked perfect on that one. will pay and install it on any new devices my family get just to help him.
Mr dxn we must be about the same age, I too remember all the old games right back too the ping pong game you used the rf of your tv. wow we are old. My father also used to bring back the old nintendo game boy games from the far east. with the orig 2 screen donkey kong game. the parachute boat game and the mario pitza making game to name just a few. gave many of them to my younger cousens. some of them fetch £200 these days.

Kaluus , i made an elevator in sc (using trapdoors) and it was pretty good but something (like) but not pistons would be amazing for building with electronics, altleast a somehow moving block , especially rotating blocks for wind mills and doors, even spinning elevators.
anyways how about wires that only attach to vertical connections, and horizontal connections. Blue and yellow respectively. Some electrical settups wont work without complex wiring so that would be awesome.

I’ve had a creative itch that minecraft could only do so much for. Kaalus, no words can describe what you’ve done for me. For one programmer you’re doing an outstanding job. Ari from Eden could learn a lot from you. Take things at your own pace. Be proud of what you’ve accomplished. For once instead of waiting on updates I’m fully enjoying myself and consider your updates more like happy surprises or rewards for doing so well in my world.
This isn’t a game, this is my hobby now. Thank you for that my friend.
Suggestion if I may: Triangle blocks. Half blocks but cut diagonally instead of horizontal. It does wonders for roofs and rounding corners off.
Also a paint option for all wood blocks (stairs, slabs and triangle blocks if you added them lol) I know this update is more Survival but perhaps keep these in mind for the next Creative update.

Kaalus already add Farming, Boat, More Mobs, Hunger, now he is working to make the sea a nice place, i think we just need clothing. After that we can have the multiplayer update and something like more bioms and pistons.
Hopefully when multiplayer comes out, we will have the option to customize our character.

ok first of all i LOVE SC and it can be improved though like we need pistons for automatic farming and armor would be really nice because i fall off the cliffs from time to time because of those cows 0_o haha and the armor would cushion the fall a bit and when are we gonna get a date for 1.22 i love the game just these things would make it about 10X better so i hope you can give us a date for 1.22 keep up the great work
(p.s. add in a bow to and arrows for long range the spear is like for fishing the bow would be for long range and birds im pretty sure everyone would love to have a bow)

i have an idea for this game!! why don’t u add cement so that u can stick blocks such as sand or gravel and they won’t fall?

I think that you should add Inhabitants like when you finish buildng a house about 5 people will come and you will be like the leader because no offence but after a while SC gets boring because nothing spoils and you know youdont have to repair anything so it makes it less interesting but if they were inhabitants then you will know oh I have to fix this and this and you should be ableto toogle off/on wheter or notyouwant them in your world. Its just a suggestion. But great work !!

Kaalus, you should change the sounds the cows feet make. Horses make the clip clop sound becausethey have horseshoes but cows dont, so they shouldnt make that noise.
They dont make the clonk noise because of horseshoes, they make that noise because of the hollowness in the frog on their hoofs, cows have it two, they make the same noise if you walked a cow over cement, then walked ahorse over cement.

Or you can join tribes and go against the rival tribes or tribe. Or just stay away from the hole thing and watch on a hill. Just to let you know I will not expect these in the game I just thought of some ideas. But if you do use them don’t tell people the source.
The tribes could make you there leader some names of the kinds of people could be: the apirose the canibals the wisperers ths shamin the cival the store owners the flukes and the normals. PS little things go a long way like fights and real good lighting on things.
