So far the only animals coming out at night and becoming actively predatory were wolves and coyotes. An odd bear might also show up from time to time.
In 1.22 there’s a new beast that is lazy and docile during the day, but keep well away from it at night:
It is a lion, and it lives in warm and dry areas, predominantly in the deserts. Sometimes, large numbers of lions will spawn at night and smell the player from a long distance. Better seek shelter.
Lions are far more powerful than wolves, and faster than bears. They will also spawn in caves made of sandstone in place of bears.
As you may have noticed in the previous screenshots I posted, there are new bull and cow models that better match the style of remaining animals:
There’s slightly more geometry on them than the old blocky bull had.
I haven’t got any news on forum switch to Yuku yet, will keep you posted. 1.22 is moving forward, but I still can’t give you a date.

Kaalus, add armor for us and the horses please to fight the lions. My idea is, add an another lion that’s really big and strong and fast, but not big as a ogre, let’s not over exaggerate. Also, add amazing bioms like big trees, a jungle. My other idea is….sneak animation, Please for sneak, make the player as if he was crouching like in the game, The Last of Us, or make him prone, laying down. And add pistons, and add pistons that pushes away objects like u can change the strength of the pistons but has to have alot of fuel to push really hard. Also, MAKE THE GUNPOWDER CRATES GRAVITATIONAL, I mean If there’s pistons, I can make kinda like a cannon. One more thing, multiplayer…..

I think its really important that you pay attention to this kaalus, the grey wolf spawners are the same as the werewolves, I spawned one on a full moon and it turned into a werewolf, which was not what I wanted, please fix!
Wait, I have an adventure map I made that relies on the wolves being werewolves because I set the time of day to night and I make sure its a full moon. The wolves TURN into werewolves, so how could there be separate spawners?

Once you spawn a wolf or werewolf, they are normal as if they were already in the game. Wolves turn into werewolves at night, werewolves turn into wolves during the day. That’s how it works.

A lot of these animals are unrealistic and would normally not go after a human.
Actually lions and wolves would go after someone at night that’s pretty realistic. They mainly hunt at night because they have an advantage over there prey
And there’s only ONE unrealistic animal. One isn’t a lot of animals.
It’s totally not unrealistic! Lions can go after a person at night. And they often do hunt in packs. If u kill a lion,what do u get,if anything? Maybe u can get a fur…then u need clothes! Like if in a cold biom, u could freeze to death,and if wearing to much clothes in desert,u can have heat stroke,and die!!! Maybe u can have an indication thingy-ma-Bob 2 show where u last died so u can get your items. Can u add a satchel? It can help with carrying more items,like a wearable chest.

Kaalus, I found a bug, thats been annoying the heck out of me, okay, so I yave a barn in one of my maps, with each type of horse in it, each tamed, I had just put them in, then the next day, the white horse disapeared, so I spawned a new one by the ocean, and rode it into the barn+fenced yard, and three of the horses had disapeared, and the saddles had dropped. But there was nuthing that could have killed them. Also, I have a herd of bulls pinned up, and somehow they keep getting out, the fence is two block high, and there are no openings, how do they keep getting out?

The fence should be 1 block high because 2 blocks high would hav suffocated the horse and it needs a wide area
It’s not a bug what’s happening is that a bull is jumping onto another bull and jumping over the fence this this happens with cows try making your fence higher I hope this helps
I have the same problem. My animals disapear all the time. I had two giraffes, and both of them just disapeared. I guess its no big deal, just spawn more, but when my white bull vanished I was angry. I spent forever catching him, and then he vanishes. There weren’t any holes in my fence and it was two high.
I rode a Camel into a stall, and it went right through the wall; with me on it!
The horses fence only has one block high fence, the cows have a two block high fence, but they still get out :/

This has happened to me many, many times too. My cows keep escaping even though there is a two block high wall. They can’t go through the doors, they are shut, they can’t fly… Do they have teleporting abilities…? :/ also my horses and camels keep dissapearing too! Plus, I made the stables from scratch. (not on creative.) it took me FOREVER to find the horses i had!I and i had to kill god knows how many bears to get as many saddles I needed, I went off my game and the next day I started playing, half my horses had dissapeared! Only their saddles were left! ):
When only the sattles were left they probably despawned.

I live on a man-made island in Harmless. It is huge. I have full iron tools, electricity, a farm, a storage hut, and a huge house. And a passage way above-ground connecting them.
Now if only there were palm trees, I can imagine building a future home in a desert oasis :)

Your game is both awesome and very frustrating I am under the impression that when you die your stuff is suppose to stay for a short time, this is not true unless 3 sec counts, I die and immediately went right back to where I died just to find that all of my stuff was gone. No offense like I said I do like the game but there’s a million just like it if you can’t fix this I’ll be forced to abandon survival craft for a better game.

The dogs can be attracted to the whistle, or you can throw a stick and it will fetch it. Or even hunting dogs!

Hey kaalus I love the lion it looks awesome. I have an idea for future update I think you should be able to tame wolves and coyotes by feeding them 3-5 pieces of raw meat and by making them a collar out of dye and leather and the same for cats only with fish instead of raw meat and you should add tigers that will become striped cats and lions will become orange cats.

Lol so weird, today (before I saw this post) I thought ‘Kaalus should add lions’ (I got the idea from watching a nature programme) i thought that they could be like cows/bulls but faster, if you go near the females, you could get attacked by the male/s if you attack a female/the male you will definitely get attacked!!! I also thought you could have zebras! (if you have giraffes, ostriches, boats and now lions, it only makes sense to have zebras!!!! They could be like giraffes but slightly faster/slower! I also thought that if you kill a giraffe, you should get something!! Like leather/something! Hope you consider my ideas! Thank you.

Hey I have some new ideas for an update like adding sheep that you can shear so you can make carpet and color it with dyes, and making ropes that you can use on your horse so you can lead it around and so you can tie it to fences, and being able to breed horses by using rye and keeping horses together for a full game day ( you can use raw meat for carnivores and fish for lions) if you like any of my ideas please comment.

Kaalus, I have two suggestions. Tigers and snakes. Oh, and I dont care where they live, I would just like to have them.
Tigers can live in a dry grassy place. And we could have jaguars, pumas, and deer. Deer live in forrest so fo foxes. All animals react to each other.
And all the other ones live in the jungle. Replace machetes with swords and use the machete for the jungle.
I can make the ghost and the darkness setup!

Hey Kaalus I think the new animals look awesome and am looking for word to the update. Is there lions and illnesses or is it just lions? I have a suggestion for the next update, maybe you could add a arctic theme with snowy owls that you can only find in cold climates, arctic fox, and penguins since you have the polar bear. I also though about of forest theme with raccoons, deer, salmon, fawns, more birds, red fox, and add fishing so the player can build a fishing rod and fish and add rocks, snakes, frogs, tiger, panther, Bob cat, and lizards/iguana /chameleons. Survivalcraft is amazing by the way Its way better than minecraft actually I don’t like it at all. In my opinion I think it needs better graphics, controls, realisticisum in the animals, more supplies and bigger space like survivalcraft since survivalcraft has lots of room I’ve never found the end to the land which is awesome.
