I am introducing more survival aspects of the game in 1.22.
This has been long in the planning, probably more than a year, but I was so focused on creative that I had to push it back constantly. Now it’s high time to do it! I don’t want to say anything specific about it yet as it’s still long way from being finalized.
With the new survival mechanics, there will be new items required. One of them you can see on the below screenshot:
Yes, it’s a boat. It’s a very early prototype, so I don’t want to make any videos yet. Hope you like the idea though :-)
For those who have not noticed yet, Apple have approved the game! Wohoo!

It’s already got 19 reviews and 4.5 stars rating after less than a day (not sure if this is worldwide or US only), so it’s pretty good, but we could use more.
Apple version seems to be much more stable than Android. I haven’t heard about a single problem yet, which is a welcome change. I have just 2 Apple devices, but still have fairly high confidence that it works on all of them. It’s because Apple hardware is so tightly controlled and there are no horrible driver bugs or unofficial OS versions.

Since it is a prototype there WIL probably be many glitches.
It’s awesome on Ios but there are no hand movements, is this a bug or an option I have disabled, could someone help, it looks weird pressing buttons and nothing moving, happens on both my idevices

the fence bug is back and I have 1.21 my device is kindle fire HD.
You have to place a block next to the broken section to fix it.
I have told my friends about survialcaft and you need to add online multiplayer because minecraft pe is having online multiplayer in the first week of may and they are adding minecarts and powered minecarts and also mine carts with a in chest it. but there are rails and even powered rails and they added detector rails and they are like pressure plates expect on rails and you need to add a camera like they did!

Minecarts won’t come, mojang only make the code in the game but never add anything -.-

No. In the photo he posted, there is a fly mode option, meaning it is on creative as well
The game runs perfectly with no lag on my iPad 4 it’s great! No bugs as of yet.

Pfft please, they haven’t added any of that stuff yet! Multiplayer is the only thing planned for the next update. Plus there multiplayer is going to be VERY limited! No chat, no admin tools *GRIEFERS GALORE!*, no SKINS! Nothing! It’s like local multiplayer only its worldwide now. That’s it!
The camera is also unusable in that game. Survivalcraft is light years ahead of Minecraft PE!
Mojang should focus on MCPE, pocket edition sold more than 360 edition and PC edition last year.
They’re adding eggs, buckets, milk, cake, online multiplayer, skins, a new title screen, a new options screen, smooth lighting, lighting and a little bit more. It’s all I can remember.

Kaalus… I bought allready survivalcraft for ios… But you have to do so we can build much higher buildings.. I am working now with ultimate building called Minas Tirith and its much higher that we can build… Please put it to 300 or something
Agree. Could you make the building limit higher?
Increasing the world height from 128 to 300 would more than double the size of the working (uncompressed) world files. Likewise, it would more than double the amount of RAM required to hold the chunks within viewing range. It would also increase the lag for reading and writing chunks which enter and leave the viewing range as you move around. And expanding to a 32-bit block size (which Kaalus has planned for the future) will double the size yet again.

So far I’ve only lagged a bit when there are a lot of things loading at once, like when I downloaded a map and there were many things on it it took a little bit to render. Other than that its flawless.
I love the game. You as should make villages with villagers so that you trade stuff with with them. Put in penguin s. This is last one is just a thought you should in trains. I love your game.

One more thing, could you make it so that people with tablets and phones can make their own texture pack. Lastly could you make a skin or a way to customize the game character look for versions of the game.

Talking signs need colored text.
I noticed that if you create a talking sign, that no mater what color you select the text appears as white. It would be very useful if i could use different colors. For example i was going to use white text for normal speech text and than red text for notes or story details in my adventure map.
I really don’t see the need fir boats unless u would please add islands .I do how ever see the need for rail so plz add hand cars as it would be really useful for gettin around fast

yes its bug, but its hard to fix it now so we need to wait bit longer than usual(kaalus wrote about it somewhere on this blog).
I managed to overcome this problem by using AND gate and some clever thinking ( :D ) in my two circuits:

Is there some link from the forums that gives the official word on the multiplayer development status?? I remember in the very early editions of survivalcraft (only for windows phone) when there was a button for multiplayer on the start screen, but it got removed when it was re-designed… Some info would be good

Yeah, a chinese repeating cross bow would work with spears and uses existing materials like wood, iron, and leather (well, animal ligaments):p
And blow darts 2 it could poison animals like if they were on fire but with out the fire texture.

Hey kaalus why dont u add a fence gate? We really need one because u cant fit a camel through a door or make it jump over a fence! Also so we could drive in cattle instead of having to remove the fence, drive in the cattle and close up the fence! Would it be possible to add villagers in 1.22??!! I always wanted to make my own town with villagers ( ._.) And some sort of security; like dogs every village should have 10-15 or a large pack of dogs to protect them and just incase one dog dies there will be more to replace it! :-D

Kaalus has mentioned many times that multiplayer WILL come, but also that implementing it will take a long time, so it be added in later, once the game is no longer in Alpha stage no doubt.
Culd multiplayer have bloutooth so people that don’t have Internet they play with no Internet that will be FUN

So IM trying to create a farm on creative, after using the spawn eggs they stop working. So I waited a few hours and it still isn’t working please help. I changed the mode, still didn’t work. I tried switching the eggs and that didn’t work. None of the eggs work for me. What should I do???

Cant wait for the update kaalus! Looks like its gonna be great. We appreciate every update we get! As a personal rule of mine I never spend money on games or apps for my phone. But I tried the demo of this and of mcpe. I wasnt impressed at all woth mcpe but survivalcraft is the first and only ever game I couldnt help but to buy for my phone. My brother has apple products and he was stoked to hear it finally made it to the apple store. Great game and its also so refreshing to own a game where the creator actually cares and is constantly making improvements instead of just taking your money and running. Thanks for everything!!!!

You are using blocks texture which is for older version of the game and does not have leather texture yet. Switch to default one.

So this means that you might want to think about expanding into new areas outside of mobile, a long while back I mentioned about Nintendo‘s eshop for 3DS and Wii U being the perfect place to release SurvivalCraft for good reasons, A game like this will thrive in the community of dedicated gamers who are starving for a game like Minecraft which us Nintendo gamers won’t get it anytime soon, said NOTCH himself. I recently got a Wii U and It’s Miiverse is like Facebook for gamers, pretty much like this here, So if you feel like expanding further, eshop is the place to start!

Thank you so much. I had just started one two days ago and was really small and strange looking and it got struck by lightning and burned down.
I like the boat idea, I would prefer something that looks more like a canoe or a kayak, boat is good too.
More important though: on the lumia 920, the fish, the cooked fish and the wire thru blocks icons do not appear properly in the inventory we can only see a pink square.
Overall, still excellent game.

Um is this a glitc or not but i saw something that was like a white bull and when I killed it it gave me like 10 pieces of bacon. Has anyone else seen this cause there is nonspawner egg for it. Ibalso have pictures for proof.

Great job on 1.21 kaalus, I’m really enjoying my new horse. And for everyone who is saying its still not working on amazon, I had to uninstall it and then download the game again. Then you should have the update. But make sure to back your world up or save it somewhere before you uninstall. Something I would like to suggest for the next update that I think would go well with the survival theme would be farming. Then we could get a hunger bar also. Oh, and by the way, I like that fish is now a food option :)

I had that problem too but I figured it out. You have to make sure the trap door is on top of the block you put it on. Then stack a block next to it and place the sand on the side of that block because it doesn’t let you directly put it on a trap door
You should make it so that you can hunt down the ship that marooned you and you find it on an island and there you can fight and kill your old crew mates who attack you and steal their ship.
How will you control the boats?
Probably similar to horses…

Cows keep escaping from my fence even after I replaced it so maybe you can make it so we can tag them so they are calmer like the horses. please add brown paint too. Also werewolves don’t drop anything and I would think It would be really cool if you add a really rare animal that has a huge amount of health and can break parts of your house if you don’t have traps or protection. Maybe an elephant or dinosaur. Also animals killing animals. For example: wolves kill some cows then the bulls start attacking the wolves. Or animals attacking your horses when they are alone out in the open. Giraffes should also drop something. Lastly some more tamable animals. I know that minecraft already has wolves that can be tamed but i still think you should do that. Or perhaps add more harmless stray dogs that become stronger once tamed.
Also I just came up with a great idea. Obsidian tools and weapons. They should be more affective than diamond but less durable. People used to use obsidian weapons.

Kaalus does this mean you are going to be adding islands ??
You said there will be more things required does this mean we won’t be able to swim across lakes anymore? Or will boat travel just be safer? Also can you please add gates for the fences.
Mabye you can do a cars xD i know that is stupit but this were be cool and you can making this with all of the electrity (sorry for my english)

Hi Kaalus,
I wanted to say thanks for the update! The app seems more stable, and the new features are very cool! (Horses, and campus, and fish, oh my!)
I just wanted to request a few features that my forum mates have been discussing, and that I have been wanting for some time.
One of them is water.
As it is realistic for you to be unable to place a torch underwater, I was dissapointed to see that lanterns can’t be placed underwater. I hope you can change that, since the lanterns are basically a torch encased in a window. Also, doors do not block water, which makes it very challenging to make underwater creations, which I am quite fond of building. Also, trying to displace every single water source block is a monumentous task, so mabey some sort of sponge block that absorbs water source blocks?
Next is lighting, the lighting underwater is very bad. After about twenty blocks with my screen brightness turned all the way up and the in game brightness to the max, I still feel like I am building in a muddy pond. Mabey you could add better visibility to the water?
Also, I think that water should be able to carry light. So if you were to place a torch or lantern at the bottom of a fountain, the entire pool is lit up.
Next is different colored lighting. Perhaps by combining a lantern or torch with a paint bucket will make a colored light? Mainly a cosmetic aspect that I would love to see.
I think that’s all for now, all that I can think of.

You should make blimps since you make the game go into stages like the real world at first there was no electricity and now you could make mining machines and NPC’s these are just ideas

Hey what else would be good good try putting dragons on the game and make them taxable by feeding it meat so people can ride it in survival mode so they can have another version of flying mode in survival but could you add them In different forms like water dragons in the ocean and like fire dragons in volcanos grass dragons in jungles and grasslands plus rock dragons in caves and thunder dragons during thunderstorms and ice dragons in caves in the snow filled areas and dragon saddles for riding the hope you add these it’s always been my dream to ride dragons on survivalcraft. Bye hope you add dragons besides you do have werewolves so why not dragons. Plus this will give people advantages against dangerous animals like bears and bulls and even sharks. I think in my opinion that we should have fishing rods, because I have a pool and paranas keep spawning, so,ya.it would be a great fishing hole.
