As you probably noticed, Survivalcraft 1.22 has been available on all platforms for some time now. I updated the message of the day, so you should see update notification if you’re still on an older version.
In an amazing departure from their earlier performance, Apple approved 1.22 literally within hours. I submitted in on the morning of 19th of July. By early afternoon status changed to “In Review”, and shortly after midnight of the same day it passed. Awesome!
The scoreboard now stands as follows:

To celebrate this I am getting myself a brand new retina Macbook Pro. It’s because I will be away from the office for the next month or so, and I don’t want to be forced to code on my old trusty laptop (which has a really awful screen).
Initially I wanted to buy a super high res Windows 8 laptop with a touchscreen, but then I realized I won’t be able to test iOS build of Survivalcraft on it. And then Apple outdid themselves… So it will be a Macbook :-) Shame I can’t wait for the Haswell model, which is probably just around the corner.
On Survivalcraft front, I am thinking about what to include in 1.23. There are some definite priorities. I will let you know in the next post.

Kaalus, I would like to suggest a feature which will further strengthen talking signs and make electricity system easier: That is, a block/device which respond to talking signs in a certain radius. It functions like this:
Whenever a talking sign is activated, for example, it says “Apple”. The string “Apple” will be heard by the player. This new block can also listen to it. If that sign’s string, “Apple”, matches the string typed on the block/device, it will emit a rising signal. That rising signal can be used for many purposes. It will simplify the current electricity system, while help the players to hide electricity wires.
You may question what does it really help to. Give you a simple example. For example, I would like to make a pass code lock that will only open with a correct order of strings entered. In the past, that will require a huge amount of space. Now, put this block/device in the S side of a SR gate. Put a Not gate with this block/device on the other side, and repeat such process. When the correct string, given Apple listened, the SR Gate will be set to 1. I the next SR gate, if Apple is listened again, the SR gate will be reseted to “false”. Which in the past, is possible but extremely time-consuming.
That above is my whole explanation to such block/device. If Kaalus can make that out, I will be sure that making electricity systems is significantly faster than before. Its radius can be modified to cope with CPU usage.

Deffinately armor. You already have the slots reserved from them, and all this extra iron laying around is killing me. I have chest after chest full of it. Speaking of chests, we really need double chests. The single chest doesn’t have enough space, either that or increase stack count. Actually, both would probably be a better idea.

Volcanoes, rivers, animals that damage structures. The rhino of course should be able to charge blocks away ;) Volcanoes would also add both danger and some excitement to the environment, as would rivers and would be great for exploring in boats, especially if they had a fast current, maybe even waterfalls! cliff edges would be a nice addition to the terrain randomness, you get some cliff like things now but not genuine cliffsides. I believe these are realistic, ignore the minecart and multiplayer spam you are bound to receive!

Well I haven’t really played with boats yet, as I don’t see much use for them. There’s the odd lake and the islands I guess, but a fast flowing river would definitely have me sailing a lot! As for creatures that damage blocks what do you think? I know it sounds like creepers, but I feel too safe in my crappy wooden house (except when there’s thunder!). Rhinos naturally would work, perhaps bulls could too if its just wood. As for volcanoes that’s just an idea as it would require bug terrain code alterations, especially if they were able to erupt lol

Kaalus I got a bug report but it’s an awesome and terrible one.I can sleep whenever I want that’s the awesome one but every time I sleep there’s a black bear spawning outside my house or in my stable(don’t worry I mostly keep my horse inside my house)but it doesn’t really matter because I got a diamond machete.and I play it on my kindle fire.
The sleeping whenever you want isn’t a bug and the bear spawning outside your house is a example of pathfinding did I help

Ease up please on the wolves, they are crazy aggressive and numerous, it is not at all realistic. You cannot go outside at night at all, you will certainly die. That is odd.
Also, cut the lightning/trees on fire way back, once again completely unrealistic, I have had the same tree get struck and burned down and then replaced about 5 or 6 times in my front yard. It is silly. Tonight a really nice bridge I’d built burned down.

Minecraft pc will be better than survivalcraft for about another year until survivalcraft makes a few more updates until it will be better, the only reason I don’t play minecraft pc is because my computer does not work with downloading games. But the reason people like minecraft is because it is unique, but if survivalcraft had this uniqueness like minecraft but with a twist then it would be better so I think if people are coming up with ideas from minecraft but making it so it wasn’t fully copyrighted then give people credit for their brilliance on how to make this a better game!
But survivalcraft is far better than mcpe

Tech grew over the years so the most realistic thing is that we make guns, cars and other things. What world do you live at apparently you do not live on earth. Where WE HUMANS advanced our tech. So guns cars etc are a great idea. We can’t defend ourselves with just our bare hands. So for a message to everyone. INCLUDING YOU THE READER, guns and cars are real and we HUMANS built them. Wild boar+vegetable feed(carrot, turnip, onion)=pig
You use pigs to search for truffles, once you have attached a lead to it, there is a button on the right hand side of the screen which makes it go into searching mode, once in searching mode the pig will seek out any truffles around it-they are quite rare and only grow in warm, damp places. In real life , the pigs do sometimes eat the truffle, so why not make so that when the pig starts out that there is a high probability that it will eat the truffles, but the more you use it , the more that the probability decreases.
The truffles are then used to trade with the natives on the island for rare goods.
Wild horse + grain feed (rice, wheat and maize)= domestic horse ( breedable )
You can then put a saddle on the horse and ride it.
Ram+wild berry feed(cranberries, raspberries, strawberries)= sheep
You can get wool from sheep which is used to make clothes
jackal+ bones(kill gnus to get bone)= dog
Dogs will protect you from any danger, even cushion your fall from a high place :-)
lynx+ raw fish=cat
Cat will find food for you when you are very hungry
5.Armors(in order of strength)
Cloth:
Harvest tall grass to make fibre, put fibre in crafting table to make cloth
Wool
use shears to get wool from domesticated sheep
Silk
Harvest silk worms which hang down from trees and caves, and put them in the crafting table to make Silk
leather
Turtle shell
Kill giant turtle which drop turtle shell, put turtle shell in the crafting table with some leather
Chain mail
Put iron in a chain shape in the crafting table to machete Cain mail
Kevlar
Full every square in the top two rows of the crafting table with 20 cloth, and every square in the bottom row of the crafting table with 20 wool. Kevlar is very strong and light
6.hydration
Every once in a while you have to have a drink, otherwise you will get dehydrated and eventually start loosing health,
However if you drink water straight from the source, sunlight boiling it in the furnace first, you have a 50% chance of becoming ill, when you are ill, you get tired much quicker, have to drink much more and you won’t be able to do much, so make sure you have a stockpile of food and water available. It takes about 10 game says to return to full health, but if you drink medicine, you can get better straight away

7.writing
To write, first you need paper, for this you have to find papyrus plants which grow near rivers and chop them down,
you put that in the crafting table and it makes parchment.
Next you need to make a pen or pencil, to make a pen, you need to kill either a chicken or a peacock for it’s feathers(peacock feathers give longer lasting pens), the kill a squid and get it’s ink sack, put it on top of the feather, and you have a quill. For a pencil, you have to mine graphite and put it on top of a stick.
I also want bow and arrows but I’ll leave you to decide on them…

I was replying to Gamergirl sorry, not SCpro, although SCpro ideas are very good, except for the ink sacs and squids, which are in Minecraft. Apart from that, I like those ideas quite a lot, especially the papyrus paper one, which is from Ancient Egyptian times. You must have lots of creativity.

Some things I would like to see in 1.23 or later updates are…
1. Ridable Zebras and Ostriches. But you have to tame zebras with a pumpkin. Also, Apple trees or different types of fruit tree. More things to farm like turnips and cabbage to make a salad or something. Maybe taxable animals, also can you tone down the patronising. It was my first night and wolves were all around my house. :/ thank you for the amazing update and Happy Birfday! :D

How about new weapons? Dual daggers (weaker but more attacks per tap) slingshot (for gravel or snow balls or could use iron pellets? Have rare animals drop items for great weapon mods (lion drops lion tooth for machete mod, rhino drops horn for to make unique items or tools. ARMOR!!
Oh one more, how about right triangle blocks? Two make a square, but one allows for slopes and cool ways to build thngs.

KAALUS I HAVE AN IDEA TO ADD PAINTED STAIRS AND SLABS. Instead of painting the stairs and slabs, u can craft them by putting a bucket of

·Breeding ( u could make it where u have to put 2 of the same animals in a 4×4 or less space and then stand near them while holding something that would make them breed and a heart icon can appear under the sneak button)
·Taming animals w/nametag (again stand near the animal with something in ur hand to tame them and under the sneak button a nametag will appear and u press it and a “Choose Your Pets Name:” will show up and u type in its name, and there u go and they won’t seaplane
·Horses: More colors and different patterns like appaloosa and paint .
·More Animals:Goats, Gold Fish , cats .
·Anything else: Furniture , Toys for tamed animals , etc.

Hi everyone. Kaalus please look at my comment. Ok I have a whole bunch of ideas. I am trying to think what we could use in survivalcraft. Cause like I know a tornado is cool but it would mean disaster an you would have to start all over again. I like multilayer. But we should be able to have multiplayer settings to Change around for each world like we can with terrain and stuff. Like if we allow others to build with you or not. Because it will be annoying for noobs nonstop delete my blocks or for it to be where you can’t delete anyonelses stuff but yours. Then bullies will mess up your place. And another setting should be who you allow to come. I say friends only or everyone or no one. Maybe you can let ushave accounts on here so we can make friends to add to a buddy list. Or something. That is my reasoning here. But what I think we should have is. A lantern we can light with a match and carry. A way to make a campfire. Wool so we can make beds and tents and stuff. Another thing is we should have fruit. It can grow on trees or vines or you can farm it.Oh and also I think wolf’s and other meat lovers should hunt cows and birds and stuff and attack them for meat. Then if you have a cow farm you protect your cows. Also cows should eat the tall grass and your grain. So should other herbivore animals except giraffes they should eat leaves from trees. I also say more sea creatures like Cavendish and stuff. Oh and another thing why is ocean so boring! It should have coral reefs and see weed and sea shells that you can use for decorations. Ok another thing kaalus, how about change sneak mode around. Like make it to where you can actually crawl under things. It’s annoying when I need to make a long hallway type thing when I do wirring. It would be nice if I could just crawl into a one block space and follow the wire that way.
Ok here is my opinion on the vehicle idea. Good one but it’s a survival can it will take challenge away from survivalcraft. Instead of running you drive and that is kinda boring to me if I always win… so maybe instead of cars how about mine carts with tracks . The mine carts can have a whole bunch of different tracks. that could work better. Just my opinion.
How about some new appliances? Like maybe a fridge to keep food cold or else I will spoil? A faucet that can be connected to water and a sink or some thing that goes with the faucet. Then we will always have water without having to go get some. Curtains that you put over Windows and close at night so wolves can’t see you.how about new plants like bushes? Oh and you get Burt and have like wounds that get infected and kill you if you don’t treat it with the right herb that could be found growing In certain areas.
How about character customization? At the beginning you can customize your hair and skin color and choose your gender.

1. would be tamable anamals that can be bred to improve there stats. to help protect you and venture with you while your outside at night for possible werewolf ambush(sea animals,land animals)
2. maybe some type of badger or mole or some type of digging animal that you can tame to fetch ore for you. but only a limited number at a time.(i.e iron maybe takes 1 day and diamond would take 3-4 days to complete) and try to breed it to increase gathering skills the higher the gathering skill the faster it can complete its task and the more ore it can aquire with the task
1.something completely off that would maybe throw the game off. but would make it more challenging would be. that animals hunt and fight eachother like maybe a pride of lions would hunt a rhino or wolf or somthing. a pack of wolfs hunt a bear and you can watch them but only if you sneak to get close if you run or make to much noise they turn on you
2. maybe abnormaly large animals maybe giant or something. that you would need your own pack of wolfs to help fend it off (which thats where the taming would come in) but you would get some sort of warning maybe a couple of echoing roars ground shaking footsteps before it actually attacked so you have a chance to prepare

Can you have the cattle drop poop that we can use as a renewable fertilizer? You already have fertilizer in place and cattle cloud drop poop like the ostrich drop eggs then allow us to convert the poop into fertilizer. I love this game by the way.

You have to have an empty space, or IDEA : cows, bulls, camels eat flowers, so when they’re around just destroy from 4 blocks away then, they run to it and eat it! So did this help?

-Dogs I’ve wanted dogs for a while now you know, find them out in the wild, put a collar on it and its yours, follows and protects you, will risk it’s life to save you and also a leash just in case you hit it by accident it will run off and to catch it you’ll have to put a leash on.

-An orca spawner maybe?
-Rideable zebras
-Eels that sting you when they see you (unless your on creative or harmless)
-Dolphins

-Sheep that drop wool and wool can be used for pillows, which can be used for beds

-I’m just thinking random thoughts here, but maybe you can add young animals? Like baby animals, lets just say a pony, when its born you can’t ride it yet, but you have to feed and train it so it could survive. It becomes a fully grown horse in 5 game days
-rope/lasso to round up cows touch and hold to aim and release to throw and get a cow but if your on a horse and run too fast for too long the rope will break and the cow will run off.

Good crafting ideas for arrows?
Currently we don’t have any use for stone chunks but to throw them.
We can also have some types of arrows like iron arrows, copper arrows, which are very expensive, so we can get our iron somewhere, cause I don’t want to just through it away. From 2 iron we can get iron bolt, and from bolt we make arrows using sticks. (I don’t know how its called the thing, which is on the end of an arrow, so I called it bolt)

Craft some bait for the traps…if you throw a raw bird it disapears after a lil while. If you craft some bait with raw meat it would last a while until eaten by the animals. Could also be used for chum to atttract sharks and piranas?

When you put a coller in a coyote 2 things change.the coyote will not act hostile. When hit it will whimper and run away. It will also go after sticks thrown by the player.

It would be a boat, a bar (wooden) 2 blocks in height, a wheel block (a iron block with a gear on the outside) normal stone blocks for the rail support , the rails could be copper wire, either moved the same the boat or moves automatically when you get in
