1.29 on Windows & Amazon

Microsoft and Amazon have approved 1.29 some time earlier today. They should be available to download soon, if they are not already.

I keep receiving heaps of screenshots from you. Great job!

If I may suggest something, get some grand builds from community content or the forums, and make some screenshots with the buildings in view. I already have plenty of landscapes/sunsets etc.

iOS 1.29 is already submitted, but it may take time, as usual…

Great and can’t wait to see all those new screenshots! Soon I’ll be able to make Let’s Plays on 1.29 on Windows. I’d appreciate feedback from anyone wanting to check my channel out at: https://m.youtube.com/channel/UCdHLx10oMPA4mLjqkAQVaQQ?
    Thanks! :)

I’ve been trying to bug-check Survivalcraft and have found a couple issues. I have version which was downloaded from the Amazon app store. Sorry to have to inform you of problems.

    * There seems to be more shading problems. See http://survivalcraftgame.wikia.com/wiki/File:Shading_issue.jpg

    * Light passage through slabs seems a bit more unusual than it was. An upside-down slab is much darker than a block next to it. Also, a ‘regular’ slab is brighter than a full block. See http://survivalcraftgame.wikia.com/wiki/File:Slab_shading.jpg. The ‘bottom’ row has two full planks on the left and two plank slabs on the right. Above them are upside-down slabs. There are other blocks above the slabs, between the lights, making them darker.

    * Stairs will be brighter or darker depending on the direction they were placed. See http://survivalcraftgame.wikia.com/wiki/File:Stairs_shading.jpg. You only see the bottom half of the stairs in this picture. They alternate between facing toward the character, and away. You can easily see the intensity differences.

    * Also, there’s still problems with the step corners. Especially since they aren’t behaving the same regarding left and right corners. This isn’t even the new inside corners. I’m pretty sure that I have done this before and got better results. See http://survivalcraftgame.wikia.com/wiki/File:Corners_issue.jpg.

    * The delay gate is sometimes not adjustable – the edit button simply doesn’t show up no matter how many times I approach it. Still trying to get details on this – it isn’t consistent.

    * It seems that the character gets tired quicker (in cruel mode) , although I haven’t actually tested it.

    * I presume that you know this and it’s simply because of the new egg definitions but, newly laid eggs do not stack with the ‘old’ laid eggs.

(And there’s still my personal peeve of the mystical appearance of animals inside sealed caves – often right behind my back. Honestly, could the spawn routine check this, to avoid spawns inside sealed areas? I can’t count the times I’ve walked down a dead-end tunnel and walking back, been attacked from the rear.) http://survivalcraftgame.wikia.com/wiki/File:Rhino_spawn.jpg and http://survivalcraftgame.wikia.com/wiki/File:Lion_spawn.jpg

I’ll keep testing and trying to push the limits to see what I can ‘break’…

Oh, and from one who loves exploring and spelunking, the new forest features and expanded caves are amazing! I’m still working to see what advantages the new electrics features will provide. The dimmable light is a nice touch – especially for adventure map makers.

Thanks. Sorry about the links, I haven’t figured how to insert pictures yet.

OK. My mistake on the delay gate. I was in such a hurry to check things out I didn’t even realize that I was placing regular delay gates and not the adjustable ones. Sorry. However, there’s another game-breaker problem. The Malachite Ore texture is indistinguishable from Granite – at least for me (and probably the rest of the 20% of all males who are at least partially color blind).
