Those who follow me on Twitter know that I’ve recently been working on stairs. Creative mode people should be happy with this long overdue addition.
Here’s what it’s all about:
I am on holiday until the end of August – please don’t worry if I don’t post much in the coming days. 1.23 work is slowly starting up. Also thanks for all the suggestions on ranking algorithm, some of them were very useful!
Stairs blocks now use all 4 bits of data available to them (2 for orientation, 1 for upside down and 1 for corners), so I can’t make any more additions to them without expanding the data format. Not that I know of any, so all is good :-)

Kaalus I think u should add just ONE more animal. We need tigers. U can make white ones for the snow biome. And the orange for the forest biome (unless u add jungle) it’s just an idea. But I think we really need more animals in the snow biome :/
In the jungle biome, we see gorillas, monkeys, rhinos and tigers. Rhino is more common in the jungle. In the tundra, werewolves appear during any kind of moon, in the glaciers, we see penguins, snowstorms, and whales and common orcas in the water. Sometimes, whales spawn on land, and you have to rescue them. When this event happens, your health will start to decrease slowly.You rescue them to stop it. Also forgot to say, vines and spermatophytas appear in the jungles. Spermatophytas are nonmoving creatures. Kill it, it will drop something called Sperm herb. (one only) Sperm herbs let you make Medicine (Heal, hunger, breathing) and it will regenerate 2-3 Hunger Bars. Medecine crafting:
1=type of herb 0= glass 2=salmon painted plank n=nothing

There is also a different kind of recipe for other medicines. Sperm herbs, brye herbs, and algae herbs. Brye herbs regenerate 1-3 hearts, and algae herbs let you breathe underwater for 12-15 seconds. Say “ZAP” if you agree with me. Lastly, there are angleks, that make nests in rare underwater caves. Clownfish, that drop algae spears. They are very weak and can’t be crafted. Squids, they drop nothing. Penguins eat them if they are nearby glaciers. Lions eat zebras, tigers eat monkeys. Thanks!! Really hope Kaalus adds it. By the way i’m Survivalcraftfan i hate minecraft, i just changed my name because of Minecramster’s incrediffying failure.
Kaalus, please also add rams. Rams can be used to make weapon mods. Also lions. Rams & lions are rare so most mods are hard. Rams are rarer than lions. Lions drop lion tooth to make iron tools sharper. Rams drop ram horns to craft unique spear mods.

Can you please add pistons and sticky pistons. For those who don’t know what that is, when given an electric charge it moves a block 1 space forward or back. This can add a lot to the game such as better traps and hidden doors.

How about new weapons? Dual daggers (weaker but more attacks per tap) slingshot (for gravel or snow balls or could use iron pellets? Have rare animals drop items for great weapon mods (lion drops lion tooth for machete mod, rhino drops horn for to make unique items or tools. ARMOR!! Oh one more, how about right triangle blocks? Two make a square, but one allows for slopes and cool ways to build thngs.How does anyone feel about that? Anyone agree?

He said no memory left in a stairs block to store the paint code. It would take a major app redesign to increase block memo limits. Not likely anytime soon.

Kaalus can you make natives or villagers i think you know these coz it is in one of your website lefora.com pls check and also your fans have really been wanting to have natives friendly native like villagers they are like us but look better instead of teared clothes and also ya clothes clothes should be nice too and they are also clasified into groups like blacksmith,hunters,farmers,child,women,guard,chief,soldiers and miners.they also need to search for resouces to build stuff.also if can add survivors to survival craft so that the player might have a companion also they can spawn the survivor as many as they want but not too much,the survivors also can wield weapons so that when u in trouble they help.
Oh ya the natives have tribes and they sometimes attack other villages to get resources and also the natives have huge villages that are located everywhere in the desert in the snow up in mountains in the sky in the water it will totallybeat mminecraft.and you can also rent a house in the tribes village for 1 diamonds.and they can start war with other tribes.also they can trade and interact with you and your companion.
And also add female and male survivors.

I heard pe was getting infinite worlds caves rails and Redstone in the next v9 :/ shame really coz I hate the way pe looks and handles so I don’t play it (gave it a 1 star review and told everyone to buy sc instead).suvivalcraft ftw.

Hi Kaalus!!! Can you please add breeding I keep running out of animals to hunt except for ducks? Can you also please add villages and railroads plus trains or mining carts? I have a city that is really far away and I would like to have railroads to go to faraway places since horses occasionally slow down.
Connect um with water then use a boat. It’s fast.
i have a bug that glass is invisible. i have a samsung galaxy tablet 2. i wasnt using any texture packs and the bug workaround setting wont do anything to help.

I would love to have minecarts…..for those who don’t play MCPE it now has sun, moon, and stars, plus double chests. and in the next major update, 0.8.0, MCPE will have MINECARTS. Kaalus, please add minecarts, I’m begging you, please add minecarts.

I’m thinking that 1.23 should be a small update, which really just refines the game and only adds a few small things like chest opening/closing animations, the player model changes when sneaking, and maybe a female player model.

Just saw video. Stairs look awesome! Armor would be awesome too. I love the farming and wish there were more crops but it seems like bread is way too much trouble to be worth it. Just too many better food sources that are way easier and cheaper to obtain.after all the trouble a piece of bread don’t even fill you up if your close to starving. Verses meats like bird that you can grind stacks of in minutes and single piece fills you regardless
Plus there’s about a 1 in ten chance of even getting seeds from wild rye which is sometimes quite rare and wen u plant it it could turn wild anaway and u need 9 to make 1 loaf to much effort considering 1 hit to a bird with diamond machete gives you as much food.
Got a idea: corn, carrots, cucumbers, and lettuce. Carrots cucumbers and lettuce can craft salad!

I have an idea about how to include thirst. Instead of using copper buckets to drink out of you would be able to craft cups out of the same recipe for buckets. There are four kinds up cups: wood, stone, iron, and diamond. The better material it is made of the more times you can fill up/drink from the cup. If you want to go even further you could make 2 types of water: freshwater(from lakes) and saltwater(from ocean). You would be unable to drink saltwater until you boiled it in the oven. And if you want to go even further you could make different fish only be able to survive in certain water types. For example sharks and orcas could only survive in saltwater while piranhas could only live in freshwater. Just a suggestion.
being able to drink would be cool. and the animals would have to drink too.

Hey Kaalus, I have an idea for the next update. You could add another flying animal. For example, a Pegasus would be cool. They could be rare and unable to spawn, just like the orcas. Also, if you catch them, you can give them a saddle and ride them.

Also add like a food chain like thing like lions eat anything ,zebras would eat grass ,birds would eat the seeds out of any normal grass so no seed drop ,orcas eat lone sharks ,shark packs eat orcas ,wolves eat birds and cows ,giraffes eat leaves ,werewolves eat anything including rinos ,and lions , and survivors/villagers eat anything you can eat
So I was thinking for pistons and sticky pistons we can have hydraulic pistons and sticky pistons. Some people mentioned this before.

•we can make the piston with iron and stone with maybe an or gate in the middle to make it harder to craft
•as for the the stick piston I was thinking that sap from trees would be perfect we already have trees and its not like the slimes from minecraft.

Baby animals, breeding, taming, too :D
A really cool feature would be animals reproducing! Instead of constantly finding new herds of cattle, putting a bull and a cow in an enclosure would make more heads of cattle! Baby cows would be so cute! It would be cool if there were wild cats to tame with fish, and taming wolves to make dogs. There should also be an alternate dimension like the Nether in minecraft, that you could make with basalt and wood (to set on fire). You could find rare mobs, like a dragon egg, new ores, magic items, strange materials (and magma everywhere). Maybe a new spawn like a Pegasus would be cool too. I think a lot of new trees and crops would be cool too! Maybe ropes that you could tie to cows and horses to lead them around and tie them to things. Beds too! For beds, you’d need sheep. Which would be awesome. And cattle should drop beef, pigs drop bacon.
Yea the reproducing idea is awesome because if they die or escape the you have to find another horse and the lead is an awesome idea too because in my survival world my horses kept escaping with the fence gate then after I fixed it up they despawned or died but I love the ideas of pigs but no sheep, sheep are evil.
Baby animals and animal breeding/reproducing is a must have if the game wants to beat other rivals
That and multiplayer and the ratings would go “through the roof”
I know there are a lot of animals already on the game but I have a few ideas for some. You could add penguins, monkeys, tigers, or even cave bats. I also think you should add something more for the ocean because it can get a little boaring at times. And then wheels ( I can see a lot of glitch errors with these) we could put the wheels on something and attach a horse or a steering wheel and we could drive it around like we do with horses. Oh and one thing please to add is ropes to tie up horses and other animals we choose like cows, camels, or lions. I know it’s a lot but please take in consideration if a few of these ideas!! Thanks so much!!

Just because he based the game on minecraft’s concept doesn’t mean he stole the idea from minecraft, it just means he based it from it, like I said.
How long has Minecraft been around? Maybe Survivalcraft was around first. I actually prefer Survivalcraft over Minecraft.
I subscribed to Kaalus’s YouTube channel and I watched the corner stairs video before the post. I check YouTube every couple of days. Not TOO often.
