If you want, you can just set you PC or phone clock manually to 11:59 PM December 31 and wait for it to happen. It goes off of your local time on your device, so if you miss it here you go. Enjoy! (I just tested this and it worked)

There was an error on my texture pack (Johan Real HD 2 2.2). The painted wood was bricks. I also changed the spruce wood texture with the new mimosa texture.

Painted wood gives you different types of wood and is not really painted wood. See if you like it.

This what the painted wood looks like:

Colored blocks are colored by in game colors, not by textures

That is not the point. I know that, as I created the texture pack. The point is that there is a separate texture for the painted wood (or other textures). I made that texture so that painting seems to give different textures.

I could only find 2.2 but you said 2.2.2 can that be downloaded from Community content (in-game)?
If not, can you post a link to the latest?
Also, I’m interested in seeing your circle of isles world – just got dropbox app on my phone again and hopefully I will get to see that.
      Thanks!

I didn’t see the surprise, perhaps I was late. But anyway thank you for all the joy you brought to us with this game. It might be the best programmed mobile app considering the effort.

Wow thanks kaalus for this nice little feature. It would be a lot fun to watch together in multiplayar where everyone gathers in one server and enjoy the firework

Thank you kaalus! I just noticed it! Great feature.
Maybe a bug: since you increased the max high you should increase the max altitude for fireworks too.

I did it 2 minutes after New Years but couldn’t get it to work. I have no clue as to why, I waited all in game night and nothing happened.

Do it before new year. Firework will come out exactly at 00:00 1st jan. So set your time before that

It’s a bit late, but… that was very cool. Those fireworks were pecking great. The only problem is that my pet pig (don’t ask) was terrified inside! He was squealing and running around the house during the fireworks! At least the werewolves that were running around were scared too, so I could actually look at the fireworks.

    A few important changes:

    1. A musket vs crossbow: the difference is too small and the musket too expensive for the difference. If it was cheaper and lasted longer, it would have been ok. Bolts last long, yet you lose your bullets, which is actually realistic, but it even more make the crossbow a better choice. I suggest that muskets just last longer, you can keep the rest the same.
    2. When an animal dies on its own, you do not get xp. This should be ok, but I no longer use intelligent traps, since I lose the xp, yet you get xp when using auto farming. I suggest that you give xp for animals dying by themselves, maybe at least when they die with us in the vicinity. This needs a fixing for a long time and should be easy to fix. i would love to use furniture traps again. Please.
    3. Sharks are maybe too rare now if you want to fish. A tiger shark is now extremely hard to kill. I think this should change as well. In a trap, they die for lack of water before you can even kill them and then like above, you get zero xp.

    4. Just a reminder, please use a different texture for Mimosa bark and maybe leaves as well. Diversity would be nice. You are welcome to use my texture. It is royalty free and from my own photos. I’ll even send my photos also. Also have different wooden planks. You can use the same texture with different colours like I have shown.
    5. I’ll not mention the obvious one now…

Number 2 and 3 should be easy to do before 2.3. Pun intended.

I disagree with number 2 because I think auto farming is as good as cheating.

      • Johan Steyn

Then building a trap for animals and killing them without them being able to defend themselves is also cheating. Using a musket to shoot a bear dead from a distance is then also cheating. Making a trap under water to lure sharks in and kill them is also cheating. Using electronics to capture animals automatically is also cheating. Using trapdoors, trapgrass, etc. etc. is also cheating.

Auto farming needs skill and a huge amount of digging to get going. You’ll actually also need some skill to do it. I have used dispensers to automatically move the items to chest in my main house. This is what make SC so great. It is not cheating. Maybe farmers are also cheating using immense grain harvesting equipment in stead of using a hand sickel.

What is your view on this?
