Google Play 2.1.8 published

I’ve just uploaded a new version, 2.1.8, to Google Play. This should bring it up to date with Windows versions plus some newest fixes.

Here’s the changes since 2.1.6:

  • Fixed underwater rendering with low/medium resolutions
  • Increased amount of spawned creatures
  • Fixed look touchpad being shifted up when move buttons are visible
  • Dropbox login works even if application is shutdown after switching to browser
  • Corrected typos in animals descriptions
  • Fixed scrolling by two pages in creative inventory panel
  • Fixed screenshot taking when screenshot aspect different from screen aspect

You should get the update in a couple of hours.

        I’m bored of survivalcraft 2, I don’t hate on it, I like it. I’m only bored of it because of apple, I only have 2.0, not 2.1.8 :(. If apple accepted it, I would’ve been having fun, playing on iPad with an XOBX controller, stupid apple rejected it }:(

    BUGBUGBUGBUGBUGBUGBUG

    I found a bug:

    -When I play a map and then quit the map, the map’s name is suddenly changed. An example is 4 maps I downloaded from the community content. The one is named Piston World but after playing it and going to the main menu, it was named Starrymeadow. All maps happens like this.

    -The signs are drunk. I played 2 maps with signs on them (telling rules or whatever). And when I move a red version of them suddenly appears from their last place, and by last place I mean beforr I moved, and then it goes behind the original sign. More like a trail and it only happens to the letters written on the signs.

    -Any corner blocks that are on the floor(below you but +2 on the x and z coordinate (more like diagonally)) glitches. They disappear and sometimes becomes a a triangle. The triangles look like the block but sliced diagonally.

    -When the piston pulls a block the block is disappears and returns quickly and you can see the pistons behind it.

    Please remember to fix the bug in Windows where the taskbar or top bar pops up and freezes the game. I only happens in maximised mode. Sorry for repeating this again.

        Just remember that the temporary fix is to not run maximised. So we just play with the white bar at the top.

          I’m fine with that but just really relieved that someone else also has the same problem I get when I play and the mouse just swoosh goes away form Survivalcraft screen

    Thank you. Please can we have an option to swap the L2 and R2 buttons (place/interact and attack/dig). This is what it is in Minecraft Xbox and not having to learn two sets of controls helps.

    Plz add this next update.
    I haven’t seen a single animal to drink water . plz add this so when we catch them we need to give them food or water to survive .

      I think we don’t need thirst. But it would be good for immersion if animals would have a drink animation.
      You added rivers so animals should drink out of them.
      Remember you added the need to breath for the whales?
      This is something little to add immersion too!

    Typo in Amazon 2.1.4 stats “Distance Swum” should be “Distance Swam”

    Can you also add island dimensions to stats?

    Guys, don’t you think that the annoying part of the game is dying in Survivalcraft and not be able to get your items back when you die in harmless or challenging? I was thinking ambit like minecraft, having an inventory keeper mode on/off available when creating a world and I also thought it would be amazing to be able to play cruel in multiplayer, I understand the problems it has with players but l if there was a “harsh challenging mode” available where if you play multiplayer Survival, you gotta heal the other player by using certain items that are helpful to use or else they die and (for example if I was playing three players, player three can no longer be added) – an idea to solve the cruel mode multiplayer problem

        The Idea is not bad at all.
        There could be classic multiplayer game modes like “capture the flag” or “king of the hill” or even “deathmatch”
        BUT a game mod is not neccesary. The players can use some kind of fantasy and agreement of how to play and which rules to apply.
        The only thing needed is a way to track points for several occations and have a leader board.

    Hi Kaalus would like you to find a way in color editing, only if I modify the original color to another color it does not affect blocks in the world painted with the original color and I can leave the original color and use the new color only in the blocks that I want, and at time of editing the color only appears the modified paint in the inventory and that this does not affect other objects you can paint.Please if you can solve the problem I will be very grateful.

      That would unfortunately not be possible for now. There are only sixteen colours for paint available and when the blocks are rendered (drawn), SC has only 16 colours to choose from. There is no system to remember old colours.

    Na exemple I have a brown block house and I go on the menu and I transform the brown in Orange.But my house my will turn Orange and this is bad ,because I just want to edit the ink and not the block.You could do it in way,that in case at the time of editing I only edit the ink and not blocks and others .I want a blocks with the new color I paint a normal block with the new color and I get the result without affecting the blocks with original colors .If you can solve this problem I will be very grateful na very happy.Thanks for listening

      That’s not going to happen. You should learn what a “color palette” means. There can be only 16 colors in the game. That is the palette. When you change one, everything using that color slot must change. What you are asking for is unlimited number of colors.

    The change page is too big to load on mobile device that you link from Google play store. Can you reverse the order on that page or archive the really old stuff?

    Hey kaalus. I know in 2.1 you added a higher and even MORE crazy render distance! 320 blocks aka 20 chunks! But since you added a higher visibility range don’t you think that you need to increase the world higher limit to double of what it is today! And maybe add a few more sliders which could go up to 384 blocks aka 24 chunks? What you think? I think it would be awesome for those who like to built high buildings?

    Anyone else notice this? When you have flu, a sneeze can knock you onto the water. You are too weak to ever jump out of that water. Then another sneeze can make you drown, in one block deep water. Thus flu is certain death.
    A similar thing happens with sick. One piece of raw food makes you sick. Then you cannot eat any more raw food. You become too weak to climb more than 2 blocks. If you are not already in your shelter and already have a working oven, you will die of hunger even with a full load of raw food… Thus sick can easily be certain death.

    These are much too OP for cruel mode. Sick and flu need to come on more gradually to at least give us a chance in the first few days! I’m a long time cruel player and undid the upgrade because it’s just too ridiculously impossible to survive more than a day or two, now. You almost ALWAYS get flu the first day and will be dead by the next. Campfires only last the night if you stay up late keeping it full blazes. Then you don’t get enough sleep to ‘cure’ flu. Then you die the next day.
