iOS in review

I submitted iOS version and we’re currently waiting for Apple to approve or reject it. It may take a day or a few days for them to respond, depending on how lucky we are.

In the meantime I am working on another quick fix update. Will let you know soon what goes in there.

      @kaalus : At first: The update is very good! Great work! Just tried multiplayer at pc!
      a idea: Did you thought about using the rumble functions of controllers? For example: It would be nice when your xbox one controller rumbles when you were hit by an animal or when youre digging a block. I really like the idea of a haptic feedback.

    There’s feedback on the forum about flu’s too rapid onset, and how much colder worlds are by default now.

    Can you ratchet up the temperature a bit?

    kaalus when do you think when ur gonna do local multiplayer? I’m on iOS but I played the demo on pc also these apple people take the longest. Idk but you should add another projectile weapon that uses rocks for ammo

    This sounds excellent for iOS users, but here’s what I’d like to see in the next update:

    -Antidotes for flu and sickness
    -Glass Bottles(Each bottle has a distinguishable shape)
    -A “thirst/dehydration” game mechanic
    -Different weather instensities; Make it so that there doesn’t have to be lightning every time it rains, Its getting annoying having my ivy-trees get razed and the rain never even extinguishes it as fast as it should in real life…
    -Local Wi-Fi Multiplayer and/or Local Multiplayer via Bluetooth
    -Fishing rods and Fishing nets
    -More pieces of chainmail armor
    -Bear traps

      -Native American Indians as NPCs
      -craftable larger boats(i.e A fishing boat)
      -Living starfishes
      -Animal Breeding
      -Ability to cook/smelt using a campfire

        Don’t forget taming/pets, especially when it comes to wolves/coyotes and the ability to make them into dogs/tamable wolves. Especially since there is so much predators now, that they outnumber the herbivores, which in real life is ridiculous, with the herbivores outnumbering the meat eaters by allot, we could use some help when it comes towards protection.

          The reason why there’s so much predators, is because they have crazy spawning rates during the night, to give the players a hard time. The predators should fight each other. It’s unrealistic they all “team up” against me and they share food together.

          It’s completely unrealistic though, that they have such high spawn rates during the night. Like I get it, it’s all about Survival, and these predators are there to circumvent our survival, but it’s just nonsensical. And I very much agree with your stance of the predators should fight each other. I think something like territory, and markings one territory, should be implemented when it comes to predators. Hyenas and lions aren’t buddy buddy with each other in the real world. There has to be some markings based on the predators to showcase that a specific plot of the land is there’s, say a lions, and if any other predator that isn’t a lion comes there, the lions and they should fight for the territory.

        Guys, this is nonsense!!!! Why can’t you cook in campfires???!!??! Be able to only cook food in campfires? You don’t always need a furnace. That’s so annoying. I cannot explain to you how annoying this is

      Do predators must actually not share meat and will bite each other if they meet with meat. An other suggestion is to actually add two different genders in the game! Kaalus already did this! He gave different specialized status depending on being a male or female character/player. So WHY ISN’T IT ACCOMPLISHED TO ANIMALS?!!!?!

      I kinda understand why rain doesn’t extinguish fires, but can you make it so on some days there are mist in the morning (where visibility is reduced),
      Days that are cloudy and slightly cooler without rain, and rain without lighting. It would also be nice if you had it so a cold front could move in, with several days of cloud first, then rain, then a really dark thunderstorm, so that it’s evening, and snow in tropical forests, plains, and mountains maybe?
      I also was thinking of a terrain generation similar to the Drakensberg, with mountains with a dirt outside, but rock bands running through it.

        Definitely agree with the mist! Especially in tropical worlds, and mists would be a fantastic feature to have to wake up to in the morning.

    Horses do appear to be fairly useless in PVP.

    The musket will insta kill them and if your horse panics you lose control entirely

      I know why, because they have an extremely weak resilience against damage which makes them as weak as a wild boar. (25) I think! But horses are tougher than this they must be at around fourty

        Maybe even better at the 60’s in terms of resilience. This shouldn’t be a problem, horses are known to be tough.

      tough to carry heavy items. Imagine you shoot a horse with that big musket bullet in real life. it would have die.

    As a long time cruel mode player, I was anticipating the new survival mechanics. Here’s my early experiences:

    1st try is a failure. Flu may very well break the game. Since it always rains the first day, you have to assume you will get it THE FIRST FREAKING DAY! And you’ll die of starvation and flu by the end of the second day…

    2nd game died by jaguar before noon

    3rd died of flu and starvation before end of 2nd day

    4th: starved in 2nd day with bird and fish in-hand. Ate 1 bird, made me sick. Can’t eat uncooked food after that. Died before noon.

    5th: died 1st day before noon. Drowned in 1 block of water. Once you catch cold, you don’t have the strength (male) to get out of the water. Coughing makes you drown in 1 block! And it will make you fall off a mountain or a bridge you’re trying build over the river.

    Yea, the game is broken…

        Yes. It only took once. Once sick, you MUST have cooked food because you cannot eat uncooked after that.

      Yes, 2.1 made the game massively unbalanced in Survival and Cruel.

        I tried 5 more times with similar results. The only way you have a chance is if you are dropped off in a large warm area, and so far that only happened 1 in 10.
        At this point, the game seems broken.
        I posted in the next thread, if you get sick you don’t even have enough strength to jump out of one block deep water. Then you sneeze and drown. In ONE BLOCK DEEP WATER. There’s no way to avoid it!
        This is no longer a game – it’s just die die die…

          Is everyone commenting so far (besides Stanimus) creative / harmless players? The above report is very discouraging. I don’t mind increasing the difficulty, in fact I found Cruel to be too easy in 2.0 but if an experienced player can’t remain alive longer than two days then this is just ridiculously “unbalanced.”
