Blocks data and icons

I’ve updated blocks data and icons on Files/Technical page. You can also download it here.

There’s a much more comprehensive set of blocks icons (over 1500 of them) in the zip. The number after filename is the data value associated with the block that produces the given variant.

Hope this will be useful.

…and 1500 more

    Kaalus, about long sleep time, there is a better way to improve framerate, you actually need to use math and not simulation, you are developing a game for a mobile device, that has a gorgeous CPU, but not so gorgeous GPU, so, let’s take in count that you want the crops to grow, the animals to make they way in, so you don’t need to simulate, you use math to calculate how crops will be after that time, you will calculate the chance of the animal that was close to me to go inside the house and than spawn him near me, not simulate his walk when i’m sleeping, you calculate how much time he will need to reach me and wake up me with a bite. I’m an indie developer who has used to simulate thing too, but math really helped me, could help you.

      it’s better to use an equation that do that maths when player is sleeping, because it will never need to render or make the time passes.

        Do you realize that game logic and rendering are two separate things? It usually works so, that game constantly processes things that happen around and occasionally draws them to your device screen – depending on its gpu capabilities. I highly doubt that any sane daveloper would attempt to render things while speeding up game time – as it is the case with sleeping.

        So, it’s already being ‘calculated’.

          Lol. the first comment wasn’t ‘first!’. Nice.

        but then….. how are you gonna wake up early?

    • Posted June 30, 2017 at 14:09 | Permalink | Reply

      If simulation ruins everything then you’re right, using calculations to what happens after this period of time is surely better.
      Here’s an example:
      Simulation: Night to Day speeded up by x3 (x3 not sure if exactly SC speed but you get the idea).

      Calculation: (Not speeded up but makes automatic results of the passed time).

    Again, is it at all possible to follow these threads without actually posting? I do not mean the follow option for SC as such, but individual threads.

    Had the game crash a couple times just walking around using a blue tooth controller.

    Also a sensitivity setting would probably help on the controller side of things.

    ;) Cheers

    Kaalus here is an idea for translation.
    Give us a txt file with blank IDs and we give you the proper translation.

    Language= “German”
    BlockId=”1″ Name=”Grundgestein”
    BlockId=”2″ Name=”Erde”
    BlockId=”3″ Name=”Granit”
    BlockId=”4″ Name=”Sandstein”
    BlockId=”5″ Name=”Pflasterstein”
    BlockId=”6″ Name=”Kies”
    BlockId=”7″ Name=”Sand”
    BlockId=”8″ Name=”Gras”

    We will do all the work. There would be no mistakes because the community will spot any bad translation or spelling errors.
    Consider that many small children are playing your game and it would be more fun for them to understand all the words.

    I speak spanish, i can help in english to spanish translation. Its a good idea

  10. Posted June 30, 2017 at 15:56 | Permalink | Reply

    But I could not do it just because Spanish has dialects, where something is said different than in other places, For example: So that I could only translate into Chilean Spanish, it would be necitaria many more for the other dialects.

    *For example: Pasto = Grass Césped = Grass or Papa = Potato Patata = Potato. It’s a spanish dialect difference.

    You should add a sea turtle in 2.2 just throwing that out there or any other reptile such as the comodo dragon or alligator since there are no reptiles in game thus far.

    Hi. There is one bug. If you cut down the ivy from the top, then we’ll get one ivy, but if cut down them from the bottom up we will get the amount that was cut. Take care of the situation

    I’ve been getting these visual gliches since furniture was added. The more furniture pieces I add the more gliches I get. They either look like vertical, slightly diagonal streaks or items become invisible, including water. FYI, I always play in creative mode on an Android tablet. Thanks Char

      Oh, and my builds seem rather empty, will we be able to spawn people eventually? I have all these places and no one to live in them. Thanks
