At the end of the video I have a question for you: I can make it so that bestiary is initially filled with “undiscovered” entries. As the animals are discovered by the player, they will appear there. Discovering an animal means looking at it from close range (e.g. less than 5 blocks) for a period of time, or killing it.
This way player has some incentive to wander off and find more animals.
Do you think I should do it for 2.1, or should the bestiary be complete from the start? Please let me know in the comments!

Here the way the game calculates attack damage (to give some meaning to attack power/resilience figures in Bestiary):
Each animal has a life value that is between 0 and 1 (dead to full health). The life value of player is displayed as hearts. A successful attack reduces the life value of a creature by the following amount:
damage = attack power of attacker / resilience of target
A random factor of +/- 20% is added to every attack.
For example, a human male using bare hands has an attack power of 1. If attacking a brown bear (resilience 60), the resulting damage will be:
damage = 1 / 60 = 0.0167
Not much. You need about 60 bare hands hits to kill the bear. On the other hand if you’re wielding an iron machete (attack power 7), you just need 8-9 hits.
If the defender is wearing armor, the armor takes the damage instead, leaving body unharmed. After taking enough damage (indicated as Armor Durability in Recipaedia), the armor will disintegrate.
“Soft” types of armor (like leather or fur) only absorb a part of the damage, and the attack still partially damages the body. The percentage of damage armor absorbs is displayed as Armor Protection (0 to 100%) in Recipaeadia. Hard armors have it at 100%, leather at 50%, furs at 25%. For 2.1 I am also making cotton clothes have 10% instead of 0% (so that wearing clothes always helps a bit).

That’s a joke XD today’s shows aren’t as good as shows when I grew up. Like Tom and Jerry (which they dumbed down extremely), Popeye, Teen titans(the actual good show that had a plot in the series and not just characters acting dumb af) and courage the cowardly dog.
I hate the way cartoon network has come these days. Teaching our kids to be dumb and act like lunatics. And hardly any of the shows got a continuous plot throughout the series (besides Steven universe which is ok)

What’s the point of having a bestiary if you have to find the dangerous animal first? The bestiary pretty much only tells you what it drops and how dangerous it is, but you’ve already figured that out because the animal killed you.
I think that the discovery should be optional

Bestiary is a great idea.
I also like the “undiscovered” thingy, but please make it so that in Creative and Adventure mode, all animals are counted as discovered.
Animals should be “discovered” if you want to know their information and how they looks in Survival Mode, and, it will be a challenge to us to discover new animals . In creative or adventure mode, all information of animals are showed. Then, if the player change the mode of the world back to harmless,Cruel or Challenging, the information of animals are only showed when the player already met the animal. (Met the animal in Harmless,Cruel, Challenging)
Animals should be discovered and if they didn’t found yet, it will be showed “?” On their picture. Like what you said Kaalus, “Undiscovered Entries” should be added. Also, thanks for add this. I always wanted this update before. Sorry4myEnglish
This update is heating up!
I think exploration is a key part of Survivalcraft and having something to do in the game can’t hurt. The Bestiary should be filled as you go along or that more information about the animal is unlocked such as the loot it drops.

One problem I see is people spawning all the animals in a cage in creative. Then changing the mode to harmless and then walking around in there for awhile to gain knowledge… Maby you could make that it won’t add info if your easiest game mode used is creative…

I really think you should allow bestiaryt o be complete when you start, because I would be discouraged to have some maps I play more than others have a complete set and others be half missing. I don’t like the idea of having to find an animal that will kill me easily just to have it in the menu. Also the bestiary tells me if I should avoid the animal in the first place and what I get when or if I kill it. Please please please leave it complete.

I like the idea of having to discover the animals. However, would it be possible to make that world-dependent? e.g. There’s a separate bestiary for each world? That might be a bit better and then those who wanted it from the start could use an option to toggle it.

While I I like the idea of having them all visible at the beginning, what about having blank entries for undiscovered animals that tell you the type of animal (air, water, land) and the biome. Then the rest of the details are populated as you discover the animals.
And 5 blocks seems a bit short.

This is basically minecraft and far cry put together.
That’s how it started but based more realistically except for werewolves. Surviving is fun and exciting. I never play creative. It was also better, endless maps and caves years before Minecraft had it on the mobile device. There are many similarities yes. Prettier skies, textures, animals etc.
I know that’s how I like about it. I remember the first time I played there was nothing in the ocean just complety boring empty space.
I vote for adding animals as you find them. I also want to start raising cattle or other animals. Can you find a way to allow calves?
Also having domesticated animals, like dogs who barks if there are any wild animals nearby!
And can track down hunted animals!
I like the idea of having every animal details.. but having to discover them instead will be a motivation to explore more.
I suggest this.
1: have the list of the animals from the beginning
“picture”- “name”
2: add info as you discover the animals unlock their description.

3: add statistics as you fight/kill the animals unlock statistics
“picture”- “name”-“description”-“statistics”
Maybe add aggression rating?
Add a small “new creature discovered” message during gameplay?
It will encourage players to attempt to kill the animal to get access to all the information available.

Its a way beter to make the bestiary filled when you release the game,so we (players) will know about what animals do we have to fear the most and some of us will even calculate how many hits we can take and we need to inflict to put down an beast

World dependent list with a toggle to select at world generation would work best, that way people can choose whether they want it or not.
Perhaps recipedia could also be implemented this way aswell for that extra challenge, only discovering recipes as they are crafted on the crafting table.

For me it was! :) My horse already escaped about 30 times in my oldest world. Maybe I will make an underground stable an I’ll find a way to make an entrance for me and one for the horse.

I’ve been playing SurvivalCraft since 1.19. I would love for you to add that you need to discover the animals first, but when trying to discover rare animals like white bull, white tiger, orca and beluga it would be hard trying to find it in survival mode. It would be a good idea if those 4 Rare Animals are the only animals allowed to be found in creative. This idea I had was to follow Billy Bob’s idea about finding animals only in survival.

I’m assuming that this bestiary would not be world dependent but whole game dependent, except for creative… This is going to be great. And to everyone who isn’t so sure about this think of it this way, it is a lot more then what you have now, right now there is no such thing as a bestuary so if kaalus adds this feature and you have to go find animals to learn about them, well, if you to lazy to do so then you are right where you were before the update and you didn’t lose anything but now you have the potential to gain information!!!
Having to at least see the animal before it is added to the bestiary sounds like a great idea. The entries can be blank before you encounter the animal in order for people to at least know when they have found all the animals.
Also a random question: is there a reason for the creative inventory not containing spawner eggs for belugas or orcas?
They are exotic and need to be discovered. Not a mistake.

Yes, there is supposed to be a challenge to finding them, even in Creative mode. Here is a quote from Kaalus:

I like having to discover the animals. Gives a little goal for some players. Also if you haven’t seen an animal before, then there’s a bit of intensity because you can’t look up what it’s gonna do.
Its a good idea but largely affects new players.
Unless there have been secret massive behavior changes, all old players will know most animals.
For instance, i have known how many hits it takes to kill a bear with my hands since before bears dropped fur

Slightly off topic here but I notice people talking a lot about NPC’s. I thought the point of the game was that you’re stranded on a deserted island. If it’s heaving with NPC’s it’s not deserted is it? Having said that, the now included 2 player mode could be explained as just 2 people stranded, but an island full of people would ruin it – too Minecrafty for my taste.
Back to topic: I think the Bestiary is a great idea and should have all animals from the start.
Well not every island IRL is always deserted. Especially ones as big as survivalcraft lands are.
Plus if he did add NPC I’m curious as to what they can do it you interacted with them. It would be cool if they worked for you instead of trading. That or have relationship to increase who you are to the village like a stranger, ally or friend. Kinda like how Minecraft comes alive mod is made.
It will be interesting to see where it goes (if it’s included). I’m not against it entirely I just don’t want the experience becoming too crowded with tasks. It’s already going to be more time consuming doing chores like collecting food when it goes off and NPC’s could add more complexity for the player to navigate.

The Bestiary list looks great! I think it would be best to have them all listed and maybe as you discover them, a check mark appears by their name. But when you say discover them, does that mean just see them in the game or have an interaction with them?
There’s somerthing wrong here, it says orca and beluga are large predatory *fish* that’s wrong information.
And finally both giraffes and zebras drop meat according to their description.
Well things could change as to the loot tables in version 2.1 so if they don’t now in 2.0 they might in 2.1.
As for the Orcas yeah they aren’t fish but they’re marine mammals. But one little typo couldn’t hurt much.

I love the discovering animals idea.
You should only be able to discover in world’s you have made, no imported ones. Also, you shouldn’t be able to in world’s that have been in creative mode.
Also it should mention the milk differences between black and brown cows, I think.
Doesn’t yellow stingray bury itself in sand, not mud.

Have the bestiary be incomplete in-game and have it complete in main menu.
So that we can see what animal we are messing and where they can be located at.
Also if you do add the incomplete version in-game could you make a reward system for it?
For example:
1-4 animals you get exp increased amount per animal found
5 gives you leather full armor.
6-9 animals give a you increased exp per animal.
10(all the animals) gives you full diamond armor/tools (as a reward to finding all the animals.)
Note: these are just numbers there may not be that amount of animals in game. I don’t really know the number I just used that as a reference. Plus kaalus you could change the reward amount per animal.
I don’t agree with armors, as it will be unrealistic, but discovering animals is a survival skill that needs to be rewarded with XP.
I think having the reference is a big enough reward in itself, along with the bragging rights.
I think all the animals should be aviable from the start. My reasoning: The beastiary is in the HELP section. The HELP section provides all the information about the game. It wouldnt make sense to hide some of it.
If so, what about a separate logbook of discovered/encountered animals and kill count.
My vote:
Keep them all in there but grayed out until you discover them, this way you know there are things to hunt for.
I think this would be an awesome location to keep statistics on how many of these animals you’ve killed.
Hey kaalus can you work on some more electrics? Maybe even more traps. Like a Dart shooter, electric wire fence, fire blocks (that when stepped on lights the entity in Fire) etc…
Also I’m not a big fan of the battery having a continuous charge if you could add in a generator that will charge a battery box instead of a battery itself.
Dart shooter=dispenser with arrows, but electric fences would be a good and useful feature.

Well I’ll be able to get more accurate measurements in the world now. Jump height is 1.8 meters, so I’ll just go with half blocks up until I get a cage a leopard can not jump out of. Once done, I’ll just do some math to figure out how tall a block is exactly.
So far I’ve just been guessing a block is 3 feet height, based that the character was an average male of 6 feet (this was unproven because the character can walk around in spaces that are 1.5 blocks high), but now I will know for certain!
Actually, 1 block=1 cubic meter and animal’s hight when jumping is available in the bestiary.
I vote to have the creatures “discovered”. It isn’t much but it IS another reason to explore the world…

0) First: Is the bestiary available only at the start screen, or only within the worlds, or in both contexts? (The below assumes it’s available at least within worlds, regardless of start screen.)
1) I’d base it on game mode, but more nuanced: Have it include an entry for each classification of animals. (E.g., rough body type, or taxonomic order/family (rough, not strict), and only loose, imperfect information about them.) For example: “Bears” (predator, fur), “Big cats” (solo predator, fast), “Canines” (social predator, leather), “Small birds” (shy(?), eggs & feathers, small meat), “Large flightless birds” (unafraid, eggs, more meat), “Rideable animals” (some more cooperative than others), etc. As for the game modes:
a) _Creative_: Show everything.
b) _Harmless_: Show all classifications of animals, but add specific animals only when seen up close.
c) _Challenging_: Show only classifications where a matching animal has been seen from a distance (50m? 100m? Draw distance setting becomes a factor here…), then add specific animals only when seen up close.
d) _Cruel_: Show nothing (not even classifications), until an animal has been seen up close.
…and, the interesting one…
e) _Adventure_: Let the world creator populate the “animals seen” list in Creative mode, then…hmm…act like Cruel or Challenging above, I’d say. That lets the world creator dictate the “knowledge bounds” of their world. (E.g., if there are no snowy areas, there’s no need for info about cold-weather animals. Or, if they want to be sneaky, they can intentionally not include some types of animals that the player will encounter — a boss area using a hard, unexpected predator, anyone?)
2) View filter: Game mode vs. animals seen — why not both? I.e., a) the game always collects data about which kinds of animals the player has seen, then b) the bestiary filters the animals it shows based on both the _current_ game mode & the collected data. E.g., you can pop into Creative to read any bestiary entry (without needing spawner eggs), then drop back to a harder level to return to the filtered list you had before entering Creative.
(Re: spawner eggs: If you feel this “cheat” needs to be prevented, then during Creative mode, collect “animals seen” data into a different collection — and use that data in Adventure mode, but ignore (or delete?) that data in any harder game mode. This seems better than just “don’t collect ‘animals seen’ data in Creative”, which would prevent the Adventure scenario above.)
3) Multiplayer: Keep it simple — have the bestiary filter be tied to the world, not different for each player. (In-game reason: Assume the player characters would share what they learned about animals. Also, helps simplify world data files & filter logic.)
4) Player level: Hmm.
– Gaining a level should not instantly give you new info about animals. (Where would that info have magically come from? Not your accumulated experiences… Plus, if you lost a level, would that mean losing that level-gained knowledge again?)
– OTOH, gaining levels could make it _easier_ to learn about animals, say from a longer distance away. (This _would_ come from “accumulated experiences”: Someone who has never seen a big cat won’t know much about them when seen from a middle distance; however, someone who has had a run-in with a tiger will intuitively recognize the silhouette & body motion of a leopard/jaguar from a longer distance, as being at least similar to the dangerous predator they experienced before.)
…okay, time to post this, before it gets even longer. :-)
Noticed a mistake! Under “Orca” you said it as a “fish”. An orca is actually a mammal. Also, if killed by black bull, cause of death says “killed by a”. It is supposed to say “Killed by a Black Bull”. Also for orca, instead of saying “Killed by a orca”. Use “Killed by an orca”.
When playing in a world, the camera occasionally spazzes out to a random direction slightly, particularly up or down. This is not only annoying but also frustrating especially while you are in cruel mode, when mining, and while you are in combat. This can also cause you to have some of your ranged attacks to miss as if in 1.29 and earlier, it would hit because those versions do not have the spazzing bug. This bug can be serious. Please fix it soon!
When you leave an area where there is a massive wildfire, some of the fire will float in air permanently burning an air block and repeats endlessly.
On some of the older 64-bit iOS devices like the iPhone 6, iPad Mini 2, and iPhone 5S, some of the entities with 2D models contain an outline that is not well erased. Please fix this graphical bug by updating the blocks texture for 2.1. Again, you can fix this graphical bug for 2.1.
When your X-Coordinates and/or Y-Coordinates are less than 1, you clip through the terrain and you go below bedrock, thus, you fall out of the world. This Bug also affects the player placing blocks. Note: This bug does not affect large animals such as Bears, Orcas, Beluga Whales, and Rhinos. This bug has been present since 1.22 (and possibly 1.21). Please fix this bug, which has been present for a long time, for 2.1. Also, when your X-Coordinates and/or Y-Coordinates are close to 0, there is a bug in which water blocks do not move unless if you mess with it.
When you are in the water and completely wet, the squelching sounds still play. Squelching sounds are not supposed to play while you are in the water. They are only supposed to play when you are on land. This bug has been present since 1.27.
When you throw spears at the upper part of a target and wood, they do not stick. This can be frustrating when you are practicing your spear throwing. Also, when you throw bricks at birds, even at very close range, The brick will travel too slow and not deal any damage. Please fix this bug by speeding up the spears and bricks a little bit. Though when you level up, bricks and spears do fly slightly faster.

List of bugs in SC:
– Player gets stuck when a wall and fence are place near each other and the player dies instantly.
– inner clothing doesn’t drop still not fixed (since 1.27.4).
– You could use (blocks) placeable items e.g torch to replace blocks (like stairs, slabs or crafting table) from their position, i would like this to be fixed because otherwise players could cheat in adventure mode or another situations in another game modes.
– There are so many problems and difficulties with walking one block up towards dry land while on a body of water (still water or flowing water) and it is impossible (never possible unlike still water) for the player to walk one block to dry land when he/she is on flowing water.
– Tools that are tough and expensive (iron/diamond) still lose durability very easy and they must last longer than usual (focus on diamond first).
– Rakes have way too low durability making them the most breakable tool. But why? why rakes? This makes completely no sense.

Dude don’t give away good maze cheese. I like beating maps but crafting axes/hammers I wasn’t suppose to and just chewing threw the levels.
I’d like maps better if they had prizes at the end, who doesn’t like diamond showers, or fire works to celebrate the fact they won?
You should make it so that only if you’ve encountered that animal, you’ll be able to see its info (also, this kid the first time I’ve commented on one of your posts in year or two😂)

I think all animals should be included. This could be giving new players the wrong information on what is really going on in the game.
Kaalus, you still need to tell us about your new terrain generation engine. Also, you said that lions will be “badder.” Will lions again be more aggressive during daytime? They should attack like bears and tigers.
I am glad to see giraffes giving food.
So, for all those who complained that Kaalus did not give anything to make life easier now that food rots, more animals are giving food!
Dont forget leveling up increases survival chances
Yeah frozen maps should make my character sick, and I get rotten meat from killing lions which attracts more lions! This would make insane mode closer to nightmare mode, but again levels… All challenge removed, just level up a couple dozen time and no skills will be needed, just punch lions dead with 15 attack power.
I doubt that the level system works like that or removes any challenge.

Put male female animals and maybe baby Animals. I reckon it is pretty simple.
I think in survival mode (harmless/challenging) you should have to discover the animals yourself.
But in creative or adventure, they should already be discovered.

Actually if Kaalus was to make it so you had to kill an animal for it to appear in the bestiary, I think cruel mode would be the one to best utilize that mechanic. Especially since it’s already supposed to be extremely difficult.
You forgot “insane mode” With -8 humidity, maxed out water level, and -4 temp. Now the bestiary will be pretty much a prize at the end of it.
Insane mode was not that hard, i easily survive on the lowest temp and highest sea level.
Flu might make it impossible though

Kaalus Moose live on there own or in 2s, they attack when threatened, and the don’t normally eat grass
Maybe this will get fixed after 2.1, now that we’ll know what certain animals eat.
I think it would be better if the bestiary was completed from the start of the game, as others said, the “Help” menu is supposed to help you. The update is going great tho, but I think flying birds need new models.

I think everyone is missing the point.
Kaalus did make a very complex combat system formula. This is not only for or against animals but also against NPC and other players (via split screen and later multiplayer).
So when players will fight against other players (and sure they will) Kaalus wants to have a good tactical background for damage and defense.

Already found a way past Diamond armor, killing players sh… (Levels) would have been a cake walk. So much for tactics about damage and defense.
I think you should let us discover only rare animals. This will give us more information about common animals and will not let us see rare animals until we discover them.
I definitely think that it should be up to the player to discover all the animals, and add to the Bestiary, like a Pokedex, in Survival/Cruel worlds.
Regarding the information that is given, I do believe that some animals should appear in specific Biomes. For example, Lions, Giraffes, Zebras, and Hyenas etc., should not appear in Cold -16 Temp, +16 Humidity, worlds, since they are only found in Savannah’s, and in environments with dry conditions. Wolves, Polar Bears/Black Bears, Reindeer, Mooses and Tigers are ones that are found in such conditions. In Jungle, +16 Temp, +16 Humidity, Wild Boar, Bison, Tigers, Leopard, Jaguars, etc., are the ones found in such climate, and should maybe be specific for those environments. Animals like Cows and Bulls, are adaptive and could appear in any of the above. I think that will be more realistic, and much better, since Lions appearing in vastly cold environments make no sense.
I go for built-up recipedia. That adds to exploration, like Bard said. Also, I love the idea, but be sure not to confuse antlers with horns…Moose have antlers, while rhino have horns. I’m sure you knew this to a point, but I’m pretty sure they’re not interchangeable.

I have an issue that unfortunately is unrelated to bestiary, but still a major problem for me. Every time I attempt to publish something to community content, it says it publishes successfully, but when I check for it in recently added worlds and “my content only” after the 24 hour grace period after publishing, the world doesn’t show up. This is happening on both of my IOS devices. If you could reply and help me with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated!

Its a good idea! I had the idea of the ‘learning’ part for if your in creative,harmless,or adventure you DONT have to learn. But in Challenging and crule you DO have to learn. Maps are a good idea too. I like it!

Wow. SC is changing so much and I LOVE it! I really like this Bestiary idea. In my opinion, it would be less complicated if were just available in all modes. Great ideas guys, but I would prefer it if it were available all the time.
What is the purpose of seaweed in the current version (other than to slow you down while swimming away from sharks)? So far, I cannot see any reason for it. Also, for starfish. Thanks.
Also, bears are edible. But I understand that you want to limit sources of food and differentiate bear’s dropped items from buffaloes dropped items.
Kaalus could you clear this up. I thought that this bestiary was game dependent but I read the rest of these comments and a lot of people say that is world dependent. I hope this makes sense I am not quite sure how to explain what I mean… Let me try again if I learn an animal in one world will the bestuary still be filled when I go to a different world or to the menu?

This is a suggestion from my brother.
“I think there should be both advanced and basic information on the animals. The basic information is givin from the beginning, and should contain a brief description of the animal, the animals temperament, and the environment which it’s located in. The advanced information would be gained through killing the animal. The advanced info would contain the animals stats. Such as: Health, strength, and attack power.”
kaalus, explosions are way too overpowered in damaging nearby entities. Even when the explosion destruction radius is like 12 blocks, the shockwave that damages is even further with still the extreme explosion damage (when i mean extreme, i mean even not that close to it. This makes it annoying and too dangerous to use in survival (especially cruel) with the new leveling system, dying means losing all progress so i hope this is fixed/altered/modified ASAP
Speaking of which… um… that reminds me, I’ve found out over the past years… some completely weird wrong behavior of diamond block being flammable. Its never flammable… in fact its the least flammable block you could ever have on earth.
If these simple things don’t get fixed (including so many bugs I reported in this post then consequences may take place to the future of Survivalcraft… be wise…

Bestiary. Animals you know only appear in Adventure or Cruel mode. Creative and survival should have all animals.
Discover a tiger means being within 5 blocks – thats suicide!

I like the idea that you added a Bestiary, that you need to discover or kill animals to get that dossier, work it out with the recipaedia too. It could only work in survival. But in creative it should be unlocked.
Also add some animal personalities like one is shy, one is like, you know, happy and jumping, and animal breeding. Also add an editor that is seperate like the Zeus in Arma 3 or MCPE hack clients to make life easier. Also remove limitations on animals, boats, and worlds. So frustrating.

I like the idea of discovering animals and have all the estuary unlocked in the creative mode. And as you talked about discovering, you should add maps in the game so the player can discover a place and map it. The maps could be from canvas and a compass. If you place eight canvas in the edges of crafting table, this would be a paper where we could write more things than in a sign. And put eight canvas in the edges of crafting table and a compass in the center would be the empty map. As the player walk in the world with the map in hand, he maps it.

Feels like trophies! A “Pokemon snap” like feature would be nice, where you can make “wild” snapshots of animal attacking each other, or similar special moments, and get your pictures rated… Like taking photo’s on a safari… Or perhaps that is a bit too much clutter…
You can take screenshots in-game already, to capture those special moments…

There is a slight problem. Currently (according to the wiki), the player’s resilience is only 10. This means that in PvP combat, the following weapons will kill him one shot (assuming he isn’t wearing armour):
Iron and diamond arrows
Iron and diamond bolts
Musket ball
Buckshot (when 3/8 balls hit = 38%)
Diamond axe
These take two shots:
All other axes
Copper, iron and diamond spears
Stone, copper, iron and diamond machetes
Stone and copper arrows
Explosive bolt (without the actual explosion, which would definitely make it one-shot)
Buckshot (if 3/16 balls hit, across the two shots = 19%)
The animal attack powers in the Bestiary look a bit low as well, and quite a lot of them are halves. I think that doubling the player’s attack resilience to 20 and doubling the animal attack powers would largely solve this problem, and make most of the animal attack powers into integers. This would mean that the only one shot weapons would be:
Musket ball
Buckshot (if 6/8 balls hit = 75%)
and the two-shots would be:
Buckshot (if 6/16 balls hit, across the two shots = 38%)
Iron and diamond bolts
Diamond axe
Iron and diamond arrows
Three-shots:
Copper arrow
Buckshot (if 6/24 balls hit, across the three shots = 25%)
Iron and diamond machetes
Diamond spear
Stone, copper and iron axes

Wooden axe

Stone arrow

None of this includes the +/- 20% damage. This obviously would cause variation. These stats are an average.

Good luck figuring out what half the people on here “mean”, most of them are just one word or “I agree”. Yes somethings should be locked away, while others meant to easy access, but then again people should just use common sense. If it looks too complex to build for you should take it apart slowly and in multiple ways. If a creature looks like it could kill you, it likely will.
So best things are you get smarter and get better armor (levels too) to make sure any creature in the game doesn’t kill you, and when you do finally begin your attack it might even run away on you because you were over prepared.

I strongly disagree, the help section is supposed to help you and it would be useless if that was implemented. How are you supposed to know how to craft it? Gaining the recipe by crafting it makes no sense, you would have to rely 100% on YouTube and other outside sources to know the recipe to get the recipe. The help section is supposed to make it easier to get info and recipes so that you don’t have to leave the game for a recipe or info. Since the bestiary is in the help section, it should always be unlocked with all info and stats and so should the recipedia.
I think that maybe we should have the option of discover or show. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense… I just mean possibly in the game we can choose whether or not we want to discover the animal.
What about picking the animals that are “discovered” in adventure maps
I just thought of something if you ever make achievements in the game, finding rare animals an putting them in the bestuary could definitely be an achievement!

Hi, err first of all sorry sir Kalus. I dont bought the game because iam poor so. I dont know if i have right to comment. Well. The game already is the best of survival tipes. With this update will be really nice *^* i sugest add a rare animals. Or a big and atrong version of the animals that already is implemented like bosses. Big enought to dont get traped easyer. And make the player have a estrategie or be really well equiped xD.. imagine?? All players walking to every block to find a rare thing? And how cool will be if implement an npc like merchant? If u get a thing minning that dont need and give enought to trade for another thing. Will be so cooooooool.. like a house on the map but so far.. to make the player search for itxD.. sorry for download from another font.
