There is a new way to get the worlds off your device in 2.1.
In 2.0 and before you were limited to Dropbox, plus direct SD-Card access (on Android devices only).
In 2.1, it is possible to upload your worlds to Transfer.sh service. This is an anonymous filesharing service that does not require creation of user accounts or logging in. After uploading your file, you get a link that gets copied to clipboard. The link is valid for a few days. After that your data gets automatically deleted from the servers.

I posted this before but I’ll say it again. I think a great marketing strategy by kaalus would be to have the old survival craft 1 be free and add based with nag screens telling you to upgrade to SC2. Showing all the great news stuff in SC 2, like (I would recommend that you add multiplayer before doing this kaalus) multiplayer and split screen, sickness and rot, pistons, furniture etc… Ounce they play SC 1 and see how fun it is then that SC2 has multiplayer and so much better stuff they will jump it in heartbeat!!! Plus the ads give you money

Requirements for that: Internet, 2 devices, no account.
1. You upload the file to transfer.sh.
2. You get a link.
3. Write the link into the other device’s browser.
4. Download the file and use it.
As you can see, it is easier than dropbox beacause you don’t need an account for that.

Kaalus the way the game is progressing it is kinda discouraging to create a world you expect to last long because the terrain becomes damaged by lighting strikes the does not repair itself like in real life by trees growing back, land erosion, etc. I doubt those who play survival mode for a short time have this problem but those who play in creative and make mega structures and what not are at a loss.
These is the option of terraforming land but you can only do so much and after game update the terrain generation changes so the player have to wither stay and ignore, terraform the land, or move to unexplored land. I wish there was a way to make the terrain update even in explored areas.
I suggest a land markers that create a invisible cube around land you dont want to change. the player can put down 4 markers in a perfect square around land that they dont want to be automatically regenerated. That way after a game update that changes the way game is generated the player can put these down and the game will recognize the marker so the next time you enter the world all land outside the markers will be regenerated.
Also it would be nice if a option popped up to keep and revert the generation changes the first time the player loads into the newly generated world.

Maybe trees should at least regrow in the places were another tree was if you let his root in the ground. Otherwise i don’t see how the game will know where to (re)grow trees.

For the longest time we all thought he did XD. If you are a true survivalcraftist who was back in v 2.0 of SC 1 where he wouldn’t post for months maybe even a year.
Yes I remember those days… There were times I thought SC was dead. But I’m learning he will pop up sooner or later… I have followed this blog since 1.25 and played SC since 1.24 but never bothered to comment ever lol no clue why I was so lazy😂. Also most people probably notice he likes to pop up again about 2 months before Christmas. Maybe he will do that again this year, with multiplayer!!!

There needs to be a way to grab the saves data from a external folder. So that we can transfer without internet needed. Bc I got a world on my laptop that I hardly use any more and want that world on my new one without needing internet just a flash drive.

It’s alright that files gets deleted after a few days, most worlds are on the bottom of the list (containing close to 50,000 worlds) in just 48 hours anyway.
I have entered on trasfer.sh to read more about it. I found out that transfer.sh links are available 14 days.
Sounds like fun. Though if a world is updated to the CC from this, won’t the link being deleted warrant it to not be accessible in the CC? Good for sharing worlds personally though without Dropbox and creating accounts.

I haven’t seen any inappropriate world’s in a long time. The only issue now is a huge influx of RP world’s that hinder and hide world’s like mine, Avornian Kingdom by KyleVPirate, from being easily accessible. A search bar is heavily needed
Yeah. I agree with you. The search bar is a need now. Not just a feature we request. That’s a feature we really need. Community content was there for so much time without a search bar. Actually, community content now still feels like you are using an old software, even if you have the last version of SC!
That’s very true. The CC does feel slightly outdated, most notably with the constant scrolling you have to do to find a world. Other games like Eden World Builder and Block World on iOS have the ability to search their own community content just fine, and they’re by far way smaller than SC, although Kaalus is a one man army, so no doubt it could be done, but he has allot on his plate right now. Hopefully soon though.

I’ve definitely thought of that, especially the leaves dying once there is no bark rooted in the ground, circa like Minecraft where the tree dies and the leaves disappear. To have floating barks and leaves in highly unrealistic and this does need to change.

Would like to see a way to link from one SC2 ‘world’ to a different ‘world’ (file) or… from one locale to another locale in the same world.
One way to link to other world files might be the ‘sign’ item, except instead of loading a web address, it would load the player into the othe world with only what they can carry.
If that’s hard to do, it would be almost as good to allow players to teleport from one point in the world to another (already visited) point in the same world. You could allow two doors to act as a ‘gate’ between these two locations. Those of us who build outposts and walk or ride between them, would be able to leap across that distance to any point we have seen. (I don’t know what it would take to make that work in terms of saving X Y Z coordinates and plugging that info into the gate / portal.)

What has been happening with my Survivalcraft enjoyment?
Doesn’t everyone think that Survivalcraft sounds should be replaced be better ones? What happens is all the digging, walking on grass, sand, stone and hitting are all very like…. hmm… how can I explain this in words… they just give me a hard time, they sound hard and they’re boring and they sound nothing like digging/walking on. I just get cluster on my nerves when the volume is normal (50% or up). I always keep the volume down and especially the rain noise!! eeesshh as bad as minecraft! gosh! I am begging to have a hard time playing Survivalcraft because the performance has not been improved a lot. I am not attacking Survivalcraft, I love Survivalcraft and I’ve played it for a long time of memories, but I have played so much that the game didn’t get anything fixed which made me stop playing. Sorry if you still are obsessed with Survivalcraft, I still play it but I am disappointed with what we have now. The game is not at a good expectation, I am starting to find more and more cons in the game. I was someone could solve this problem, I have been frequently saying “I can give you a list of cons that wil fill more than your device screen”. Please help us Kaalus. 😔

I think that the reason behind the fact that golden tools and weapons didn’t exist is beacause Kaalus didn’t want to copy Minecraft.
Also, gold is too soft to make weapons with it.
There is no logic into making gold tools, gold is kinda softer than stone.

Oh no I found a disturbing glitch when start the world Transportation, a switch flips up ahead and ruins the whole thing!! I’m sure that I set everything up right. Is it my phone? Could somebody download my world and try it? Survival craft survivor, did it let you get past the first corner?

Minecraft PE had multiplayer at the first release. I wonder why it never happened in Survivalcraft. Huhh…
Beacause any feature that is added to the game must work on both multiplayer and single player. Think of how would it have been if Kaalus added Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Split-screen multiplayer at version 1.0. He had no skins, so many animals and items to add, block burning, explosions, electricity, pistons, furniture, improve terrain generation, boats, horses and so on! I can’t imagine how hard would have been for one person to do them for both single and multiplayer. Now that the game is almost perfect, there are less things to be added in both single and multiplayer. There was a team that worked at MC. Kaalus is only one.

Is this supposed to be better than diamond? Because diamond is the hardest ever know compound. I can’t believe that Kaalus thinks it’s ok to have only iron to diamond. Iron isn’t that good and diamond is supposed to cut through any flesh in a matter of one swipe. You’re right we need more ores. We need more variation of ores, tools, weapons, clothes, logicality, plants, terrain, etc… The game is still not in a perfect stage. Plus it’s been only 6 years and look at the game. ☹️

Platinum is too rare to be added in the game. You were marooned on one of 1 million islands that exist in the world. Are you sure that you have chances of finding platinum there?
On the second thought, platinum is more rare than diamond. I wonder how Kaalus could make it more rare than diamond, thinking of how rare diamond already is.

I just had a really good idea!!
If you’re living in a cold biome whilst in a survival mode, it’s really annoying to be outside when it’s raining because you’ll get cold substantially quicker than when it is not.
As a solution, I think it would be great to have umbrellas!
They could be dyeable, and as long as they are in your hotbar, an umbrella will protect you from the rain and any effects it might have on the player.
I can see them being made out of canvas and sticks.
Of course, this would give you many advantages, so I believe that the umbrella breaking after awhile would be a good feature.
With so many new ways to die, I think that umbrellas would be good to balance this out and be another way to survive.
There’s always something bad in SC, your way is one of the ways to fix it.

If he finished working on them, the update will be realesed on Sunday. But if he has not finished them yet, maybe we must wait until the next week… So, let’s be patient and wait… But how hard is to wait for SC updates!

Kaalus, do you know whats annoying with the community content? Most worlds I see is only roleplays on like, dragons or cats or even love. And it gets annoying to see all the different copies of the same world. I think the roleplaying should be banned in the community content.

I would say instead of taking turns… just the guy working now gets done , texts the link to the community and the first responder to say he will work on it for a bit works on it then he puts out a link and the first person to respond works then texts everybody the link etc like that. That would make sure that the build is being built constantly without stop. Cause taking turns takes time especially with all the different time zones and stuff. Just my thoughts. What do ya think?

What will we start with? Since you have started the WordPress Build Community, I think you should decide what we’ll Build first. Then Billy, then survivor, then me, then anybody else who joins. After you build the beginning, then it should be Billy’s turn. He was the second who joined.

I will try to repost my pack “Modern living room by Yell Ow” or give you a link. It is not very big, not totally made by me, but at least I have never seen better couches in the community content. I can say that I have lost my talent making an expanded version of “Little big city pack” with all new items in size variations. I can do more than that, but I am rather lazy… I can say that I have the best furniture packs taken from community and enogh talent to build something better than I have built until today. Now that I work with you, I promise that furniture in our worlds will look great and many of the designs will be paintable.

It consists of making amazing furniture designs and also of combining the packs you already have to look very beautiful and to not be exaggerated. Do you remember what Kaalus said that “filling mountains with furniture will make the game explode”? Well, I have downloaded some maps where there was too much furniture, and when I tried to modify it for me, the bug caused by exceeding the triangles limit per chunk happened. So, a furniture artist is not just the guy who makes SC worlds more beautiful, but also the guy who creates and uses furniture carefully.
Also, Cristy, are you romanian? I would like to know.

When you see Kaalus showing update features and mentioning he is working on them, the time he doesn’t post stuff is the time he is pushing the working forward! Basically no posts are a sign that means it’s coming closer.

Kaalus listen you probably already know this. That Minecraft is coming out with cross platform multiplayer for phones, PC, and console. If you release cross multiplayer before them it would be HUGE!!! And your engine is already set up for cross platform. This is your chance to beat Minecraft!!! It would be a huge update putting SC very very close to passing Minecraft!!! Multiplayer in the next update! Sales would skyrocket!!!

I just wanted to tell you this.
This game is focused on survival and on a person that’s castaway on an island.
The animals are fine. But I think the werevolves are unrealistic.
If it’s a survival game, only the animals should pose a threat. Not fantastic beasts.
All I want is the werevolves removed and no fictional beasts or things added. For example, zombies, skeletons, etc. That kills realism.
And I’m not the only one thinking like this.
There are more people who share my point of view.

I tried to comment with that account so you could see it but it says waiting for moderation… So could take a bit I didn’t think it was working so sent like 3 before I realized they were going, just awaiting moderation. If many don’t want werewolves and vampires, why not have a fantasy button on/off when creating a world, this means mystical creatures like these will spawn in rare conditions in the world. I know that if added, werewolves and vampires should fight each other just like any other predator. Your idea, excellent! Not every night! This will make it too illogical, vampires should be as rare as werewolves maybe if a thunderstorm is at night, the bats will turn? I thought that from scary scenes, you know… night, thunder, monster…. you get the idea
