Yeah but I can’t figure out if that’s new or not… I have seen flat land like that before.
I was always spawned in worlds full of forests in both survival and creative. For creative porposes on flat terrain, I have always used the seed “horse”.
I haven’t met flat worlds in “natural marooning”… : )
I love a biome that is flat with river streams and mountains near the flat plains with forests I find it majestic!
Hi Kaalus! I’m glad you’ve added new fish ! How about a fishing rod or net? Honestly, hunting for fish with spears uncomfortable.

But no traps would go underWATER it would just disappear. Unless you set up a clever sea urchin trap ;D

With the new food spoilage system, kaalus should add new means of gathering food and fishing rods would be a nice long requested feature for him to add, not only that but I hope he’ll add drying racks, smokers, fridges and salting up meat so they will last longer, I’m worried kaalus might not add ways to preserve meat or other food itens in 2.1, at least drying racks to make jerky or smokers to make smoked meat should be added to the game.
One word: SALT
It preserves meat so think about rock salt as being found in the world and digging it and using it to craft preserved meat/bird/fish/eggs
Finally… Lions and tigers will drop something! Might be basically more death, but something! I’m happy now.
Also Just need to level up some more so the sharks cannot kill me when they bite threw the boat.
But I wonder why they drop rotten meat, I mean predators aren’t zombies, they’re not made of rotten flesh and would normally drop fresh meat like any animal.

Yes my favorite reptiles are crocodiles the largest known croc is lolong the saltwater crocodile lolong lives in the Philippines where he was found in a small village he is quite large croc when they caught him he is in captivity but a few years he died he was the largest known croc in the record I live in the Philippines too
You’re right, the game feels dull without reptiles and the terrain in SC looks exactly like some sort of crocodile habitat but you see, when Kaalus will finish with the update, he will have time to relax, then have time to work again using our requests remember to comment it when the update is out and in the update post. Well.. I am a Muslim… So i dont agree with we were evolution of apes.. From my view ( Islamic View), Every single human roaming on earth were the descendant of Adam who was the first human created directly from god (No revolution). Islam belief is almost same as Christian belief… But it has some differences.
Also.. i kinda dont believe with the big Bang Teorem… From my view, the universe was created in a blink of eye by god. I am very agree with Johan, Evolution is a religion, based on faith, not fact. There is no real evidence neither about how the animals evolve nor how the universe was formed. All i can say is, every single things in the universe are god’s work and as a human we can’t really prove something correctly unless it was written in the holy book ( I believe in Quran (Islam) ).

I respect your view. The problem is that there is no authoritive source like die insurance the Bible that teaches such an event. In fact, proper geological studies reveal that Noah’s foods was real and that the fossils were created during that flood. Every ancient civilization even had a flood story and even some call the person Noah. The proof is so overwhelming, yet people will still choose to believe the rubbish from Darwin. Even though I am a Christian I have to admit that most have last faith in the Bible. Anyway, just a thought.

I do not believe in aliens visiting our planet, it is foreign to the Bible. I do however believe that God had created other planets with people on it, but that they did not fall into sin. By the way, death came into the world because of sin. If so, how could there be death before man sinned in Eden, which even Muslims would agree to? Death is the main catalyst for evolution to work. It is the main mechanism of evolution, without it, it makes no sense.

Thanks. Just for interest sake, modern Christians are actually not correct to eat pork, as the Bible teaches we should not eat it and nowhere did Jesus change that dirty animals are no longer dirty. Pigs still are dirty animals.
Unclean animals
The word unclean is an old English word that has gotten a religeous meaning. Just use the word dirty or filthy instead and it all makes a lot more sense.

Evolution is a religion, based on faith, not facts. It has never been proven. Only survival of fittest is provem, but it does not create new species, only preserve the best genes for a specific circumstances. All species are degrading, getting weaker with every generation. Survival of the fittest only slows this process down.

Yes a crocodile skin can be use as a belt,boots,jacket,etc but I think it’s illegal in some countries probably you need a permit if you are gonna kill one in real life

I know, I’ve also noticed that animals don’t drop golden orbs (xp) if they died in other ways other than you using yourself. That makes sense, cause you’re gonna have to learn how to use your skills. But isn’t using traps also something you have also worked hard using your hunting skills to kill the animal?
Also, what if( I know it would be almost impossible, but maybe if pistons would be cheaper) you craft a piston and crash animals with it?
I have done this in survival. It took me a very long time, but I no longer use that die traps. One guy said that furniture has no function in survival, yet I use furniture to make animal taps that works a lot better and is very easy to make and is cheap.
I have no pistons yet, but I think I will still try to make a piston trap when I’ll have pistons. I currently have only a motion detector that I would use for the trap.

Yeah… It’s a bit brutal… Never thought it that way…
You’ll need a minimum of six pistons to also get werewolves for sure. With furniture it is quick to build and works much better. I have done both. You put chests below the trap and make a room below them. You then brecon the badge, but you can use food as well, even grass.
To create a trap block, you use one block (stone etc.) and make it very tiny and then eight stone blocks in a cube. Then create a two stage connected furniture by adding these two with a wire and create furniture. Put many of these, three layers thick in a trap of example 8x2x3. Connect a button or automated electronics. I call this the leather machine.

Kaalus, the tiger shark is a nice adition, but with this new water creature, you should consider adding a long requested feature to the game that is Bigger Boats. With the new water transparency and more dangerous sea animals, It’s important for players to be able to build a bigger and more resilient boat, sea expeditions are way too hard nowadays with this new difficulty factors, and a resilient boat big enough to sleep in and store a few itens would be a very nice (yet important) feature. I know that this might delay the release of 2.1, but consider adding better boats.

Perhaps a special block, which floats, and can be built upon could be introduced. That way any structure could be built floating on water. Propulsion be provided by some other means, perhaps another special block. Or am I getting g too complicated here?
No, you’re right but doing all this will be time consuming for Kaalus so I think the best way is to only use wood related blocks to create a type of slab called boat platform. e.g used spruce raw wood and crafted a spruce wood boat platform. This slab aka the boat platform is buoyant so you could now build your design on land and use a stick (behaving similarly to the hammer and furniture in SC) and will give you the smaller more detailed rideable boat. This idea is acting as furniture in SC. Do you acknowledge my information?

I personally hope kaalus will add ways to preserve meat, such as drying racks or smokers, also, I bet he will add animal traps and fishing rods. I think he might not add it, but bigger boats should be added for safer sea expeditions.
viniciuspac, you could use salt. Salt preserves meat very well. So it could be a use. I’m confused why you can’t cook meat using campfires. I hope this become in the update, it’s so annoying to everyone why you can’t do it. It’s so illogical… like so soo illogical!

So why not golden orbs are given to you when you escape predator encounters. The longer the pursuit/the more animals are chasing you, the more golden orbs you get. The reason is because it’s a frequent situation you get when playing SC in survival. So this could be useful for leveling and increasing speed? Is coding this possible: Can you gain double the orbs at night when killing animals or escaping them in challenging or cruel? Maybe gain double the orbs when it’s full moon only? Please add more interesting mechanics in the leveling system. If not possible in this update, can you add it in the next update? I could give you credit for this no problem. Please let me know if this is good. Thanks.

1. The terrain are completely changed and the terrain is now bigger than before
2. New shark and stronger than normal shark
3. All dangerous animal will drop Rotten meat when killed ( Why rotten? Why not Fresh meat? And do zebra drop meat

Sharks are very edible, why do they give rotten meat?
Eating predators is actually very bad for your health, poisons from the animals that they eat accumulate in their meat. Eating pork (pigs) are also based for your health for the same reason. That is any the Bible lists them as unclean (filthy) animals. I don’t eat these animals. Well I actually don’t eat meat at all.

You are correct, bioaccumulation is a thing. I do not see the relevance of the Bible here.
It is just quite interesting that all the animals that has this issue, is listed as unclean (dirty) in the Bible. It is also strange that most Christians think that in the New Testament these animals no longer has this issue. I suppose people like to read the Bible the way that fits them the best and not upset their comforts.

Hey kaalus can you change the way you throw/shoot things. The big white circle is difficult to shoot accurately.
Plus I just thought of something why are people hating on others for mentioning something from minecraft saying it’s not realistic? Well if you haven’t noticed werewolves aren’t realistic (meaning myth) but they’re in the game.
No he shouldn’t change it. This should only happen to aiming weapons like bows, crossbows and muskets. Because it won’t be fun to have it extremely accurate throwing a rock at a bird. Do you understand now?

I dont agree…. I dont want it to shoot accurately… Then what’s the point of having level system… If you notice, in survival mode. If you take more time for aiming.. The circle will start to wiggle… and then you will stop aiming.

I don’t really care for accuracy it’s just the reticle is difficult. You gotta have the animal in the circle to shoot it up close and far is a little more difficult. I like the way minecraft does it with the bow and arrow with the (+) in the middle.
Here’s an example I have: when I start a world I always make stone spears to throw at birds for a bow. But it’s difficult to line them up in the middle while they’re flying. It would be easier to use the (+) sign at aiming them. For me that is.

Is Survivalcraft decently realistic? No, not even close…
Guys, you always find something in the game that wish could be improved. Explain this: how can someone in a dry and hot desert reach to an extremely arid and cold region by walking only 13 meters? Why not fix this for future updates? I just don’t like the fact why I never know why this could be fixed including other problems in the game!
Yes, passing a desert in half a day is not realistic. I hope Kaalus make larger biomes someday.

I would like larger biomes, but, if others haven’t noticed, you were also talking about cold areas near deserts, which is not realistic and must be fixed before adding seasons if it will be a feature in the future( big feature of 2.2 ?).
Making that possible in a random generated block world isnt that easy when the game generates the world randomly Some mishaps will always happen. But of course kaalus could put a code in to separate the desert with a grass plain or whatever but having a hot area and a cold area not be close apart wouldn’t be easy.
Kaalus, be careful not make land predators able to eat rotten meat, that would be illogical cause the meat could be from a carnivore and not all carnivores eat other carnivores meat. I know that lions hunt leopards for their meat but just BE CAREFUL, WE DONT WANT SURVIVALCRAFT BE EVEN MORE ILLOGICAL.

Looks fun! The oceans and lakes/rivers are definitely becoming a menace and a danger. While I enjoy the addition of new animals, I’m wondering if the models of the birds will ever be updated, especially since their blocky looks look awkward and weird with the beautiful and realistic models of the other animals. They do not compliment each other. Hopefully one of the next two features are taming :), especially since because of the increasing difficulty of the game, tamable wolves would be helpful.

The bird model of flying birds look a bit like minecraft chickens because of its blocky body except for flightless bird which looks good like cassowary and ostrich I wish that the seagull,raven,and duck would be realistic like the ostrich and cassowary
Seagull, raven, duck were the first animals added in SC, so that’s why they look so weird. These are very old animal designs.

I personally don’t think he will add villagers, but the other things can be added( except elephant, see Kakashi’s reply). Also, I think he has some new original ideas for what he will add as well.
I feel like we really need villagers since some stuff are just too hard to find (remember when I mentioned about saltpeters?) So it will be nice to trade in a village.

The things you mentioned are from the “Potential Features” on the wiki. That page is the least reliable one on the wiki and is mostly just people guessing and cannot be relied upon for accuracy. The very features you highlight have been there for YEARS. They are NOT likely to be implemented just because they are on that page…
Kaalus could you please change the way you throw things or shoot on mobile? I don’t like it how you have tap and hold your finger around the screen and the aiming site follows it. I like it how it is on computer, you look somewhere else on computer and the aiming site stays in the middle. Make it like minecraft how you shoot and throw (I’m talking about the aiming site) :)

I still hate the terrain generation of Survivalcraft, it’s kinda useless and unusual. I hope it’s improved, I mean it’s not a big deal but it’ll be better if it did.
We get islands… not the best terrain update, but something. I know it would be nice to be able to adjust hills/mountains, I personally would like to have a water world in creative, but like I said before, you get what you get.
I’m enraged at the level system, but interested in poison food/flu, but over joyed that all NPCs drop stuff. Don’t hate about something that was mentioned in past announcements months ago, try to stay current to about a few weeks.

He would probably hike the price up for console anyway. I don’t think it would be easy to port it to console. There’s a reason why Pe is 6.99 and the console version is 30. Plus he works on this by himself so he would need to hike the prices up to be able to work extra on ports.

Great video. Zebras have not evolved to be like that, but actually because of survival of the fittest, have developed like that in very much the same way selective breading changes animals. They actually have the same DNA as horses and can breed even though the ofspring (zorse) is sterile. We do not breed new races of dogs and then call it a new species, do we?

The definition of a species is subjective. When you inbreed over and over into one race of a species, that strain begins to amplify strengths but also weaknesses. All genes are damaged, but inbreading lets these genes become dominant. So if you have a breeding in one direction and another breeding in another direction, at some point these two “races” start having issues with fertility and other issues. This is no indication that it is a new species, but it is because of faulty genes. This can be seen with the carp fish species. From carp, humans bred koi, chibunkins, goldfish and comets. This was done over a very long period of time. Today a good fish is still a carp, yet if a gold fish breed with a koi, the offspring is infertile. To now use infertility as proof of a new species is a logical fallacy that evolutionists keep on using. It has no factual basis. You even have this problem within a so called species, like the cheetah, where infertility a serious problem.
We have inherited a system where species are classified mainly by what they look like, yet this system fails with the carp for instance. The same goes for cats and dogs. If a “future” paleontologist had to find chiwawa and great dane fossils, but have never seen a dog, he would classify them as different species. Yet today we have no problem to rather talk about races of dogs. Why would we use fertility as a measure for speciation? We should regard the ability to reproduce as the requirement for speciation. When you inbreed, it seems the genes change, but they don’t. It is only information that is switches on and off that gives this appearance, otherwise we must say that different human races are different species. Today when people find a butterfly with just a different tint on their wings, they call it a new species. It has become ridiculous.

I haven’t done to bad at calling stuff recently. I called that kaalus had added a leveling system, and that this update would have multiplayer (half right), and I predicted the time of this post and was only 45 minutes off!!! I also predicted the way sleep would work for multiplayer!
While I’m at it the update will release next week and be approved by all app stores before the end of June. :-)

Guys I just noticed something amazing! Survivalcraft demo has 50 million yes MILLION downloads!! Where as Survivalcraft 2 only has 50 thousand. My thought is that kaalus should make SC free but limited with some things like free version plays an add while generating terrain and has in app purchases to unlock real pro version. Also community content is locked in free version and nag screens to buy pro version sometimes pop up. Now I don’t like ads or in app purchases but I am way more likely to download a game that is free vs paid. And as I have shown above is the same for most other people.
Of course everyone that has already bought SC will keep the pro version without ads or anything
What do you guys think? I think sales would skyrocket!!!
This thing again I think would work better:
After you release this update (or the next one) remove the SC Demo from all app stores and make Survivalcraft 1 free. Every update Survivalcraft 1 is updated incrementally, always staying two updates behind SC2 (if this is not enough you could wait another update and have it staying three behind) This would mean:
1) Nobody could buy SC1, not realising that SC2 exists.
2) People who have no way of paying (or do not want to pay) can still play SC and contribute to the community. The demo has 50,000,000 downloads on Google Play. This is the same number as Minecraft full version. This many active players would make SC very popular.
3) People who bought SC1 and cannot afford SC2 are not left completely stranded.
4) SC1 has a point.
