I finally got round to publishing Bugs to Amazon, Windows & Windows Phone and iOS. Took me two days to go through all the moves. Hate it! I’d much rather code than fill out forms, take screenshots, apply for certificates and resize icons, among millions of other chores required to get it published.

I still feel like it’s disrespectful to downgrade somebody’s hard work. Especially since Kaalus came out with a free game, just for us. Constructive criticism is always appreciated, but just outright impatience and possibly anger is over the brink. I admit, I was possibly too caught up in the moment and was too critical of him.

kaalus, i need professional help, i am starting to learn java; however, many online tutorials are leaving me in a state of confusion i never quite expected.
can you get a bit technical for me, please let me know how to get access to shapes, and how to animate them according to the rules i set

Kaalus, can you make it so that donkeys and camels can’t jump fences. Horses can’t therefore that’s all I ever keep.

Speaking about sc… can we get a longer daylight cycle in the next update?
I got Animal suggestions that I would like to see in game either as an addition or update:
Gorillas (they could climb the trees in game)
Crocodiles that could go on both land and water in game
Elephants (imagine one blow from them and you die)
Hippos (They could kill you if you get close)
Mountain Lions (they are sneaky and opportunist)
Leopards (They climb trees, that would be hard to fight them in game)
Every type of animal should give you fur/skin/meat when you kill it?
Update the bears so that they stand when they are ready to attack
Add female lions (maybe you can duplicate the lion code to use as female and just take of the hair around the neck)
Different colored wolves? (The alpha could be black, the rest white or grey)
Werewolves should open wooden doors (That going to get interesting)
I’ve noticed that lions, bears, wolves, coyotes, tigers, hyenas don’t fight each other. Can you change the game so that they will. It’s a burden trying to fight them when they are all teamed up trying to eat you?
This is not related to animals but can you add flashlights or handheld torches, so that we don’t have to rely on a thousand torches to explore a cave?
PS I’m I the only one who has spotted white tigers and white bulls?

oh like when a tiger kills a boar the lion will be attract by the meat it will fight for food like there not sharing some meat to each other i saw a video of a cheetah eating a gazelle the leopard saw the meat probably the leopard was hungry so the leopard scared the cheetah it ran away and the leopard stole the food of the cheetah

Hoppfly , this are my last ideas for 2.1. kalus can you make it so that sand and gravel slid? can you oso make it that you can you can collect fish, not including sharks with buckets of water? A few more ideas for the update: animals no longer being hostile in creative.
what I mean by collecting fish not sharks with buckets of water is this. you would be able to collect fish with buckets, but would have to have water in the buckets.

With the latest update of Bugs (Android) I get exactly the same error message of SC and SC2 when I quit the game.
I know that is not a big issue to worry about.

I saw a male elephant killed a juvenile. Buffalo i saw another elphant attack a mother hippo the hippo got flip by the elephant and the next one a male elephant attacked a rhino male elephants are very aggressive,there is more a crocodile bit the mother elephant’s trunk while drinking in a river the female drag the crocodile out of the river

So many people have asked for more colours, especially brown and orange. I have created a texture pack with more colours. I have used all the ores for new colours as well as the Malachite and Iron solid blocks. Only the last two can be used in Furniture and for them I’ve used brown and orange. I hope this will help a few people with creativity. The texture pack is called Johan More Colours. It should show in a while on community content:

Ever consider adding dogs into the mix? Like you could find them in the wild and add some type of gear to them like for riding animals that makes them befriend you and help you hunt. Just a random idea

I bought the game when it came out on pc so I’m way too late for the promo codes.
I love this game, but one thing I really hate is the number of Lions, hyenas and wolves that spawn around my base. The noise they make constantly is so annoying. I wish there was a way to tune them off and still keep the other game sounds
This is why I turn off the sound, and rely more on my eyes, but yes many agree random spawning animals is a very unfair challenge to overcome. I have even trapped dozens of lions in my area only to have a wolf or bear spawn in to kill me. Animals do just appear inside your home at rand.. OMG IT”S BEAR!
Hi there Justin and Pili. Predators will only only spawn inside your house if there are dark areas. Always make sure that every nook is lit up properly. Generally only bears, lions and hyenas spawn inside, although I have found tigers and bison in caves as well. But sometime you do miss a spot. I was killed by two lions two days ago because of this.
You can even keep animals away from your base by erecting a fence around your house and make sure the area is lit up as well. Just remember that tigers and werewolves can jump over single fences. This will keep the noise down as well.
Another tip is that when you are mining and the animal noises get you down, just go to sleep. They mostly make a racket at night.
One more thing, I live in South Africa and if you are in a game park at night, the hyenas really make a lot of noise, if they are around. If you were near lions, they also roar a lot at night, although only the males really. You know, we tend to be quite noisy.
Yeah light sources in the game require much more work then the amount of ground you can “secure”. Also one lightening strike knocks out a light animal spawns in instantly after… Again an “Unfair” challenge and crazy ugly/silly to overcome.

I just found out I can’t change the rating I give to a user made level. Better be dang accurate if we want to push 5/5 stars and not bump 3/5 or 4/5 stars in the process. Glad google play allows me to change my ratings of this game.
I have posed a new texture pack. It is basically Johan Real HD, but I’ve changed to suite survival more. Modern ovens etc does not fit survival. See if you like it and advise if i must change stuff. I have also removed all the paintings. It took me a while to create the chests, dispenser and the oven though.
I appreciate the effort to make it focus on the survival aspect but I generally find your texture scheme too dark overall for my liking.
Also, I find the top of the cactus to be distracting.
Your wood texture is gorgeous to look at…I just wish it was lighter.

Mmm, thanks for the criticism. I’ll take it into account and maybe so as you ask. I like the darker woods myself, but understand your point. It would be great if we could have different planks.

This might have something to do with your device as well. I use an Amoled display (Note 4) which is a bit brighter than Lcd displays and I also use my desktop. I’ll try to take it into account. But I suppose the wood is a bit dark. I’ll see what I can do. I wish we had different woods…

I have done as you asked. I’ve created a new texture pack called Johan Real HD Bright. Please try it and tell me if it need more changes. Some textures seem a bit too light, but see for yourself. The wood looks a lot different, but I think you’ll like it. The cactus is also without a flower. I actually like the new look. It should show on community soon.

I did not comment on reindeer but on the seventeen animals. I was really under the impression that you were sarcastic about how everybody is always asking Kaalus for things. Sorry I really misunderstood you. So you really want Kaalus to add 17 animals?

I didn’t know that you can ride a reindeer in real life I saw some Mongolian tribes riding a reindeer in snowy tundra Eskimos ride reindeers using a sleigh or a back ride so kaalus make reindeers rideable I saw it in some cultures and traditions
I know a lot of you still want a lot added to SC 2, but I can bet you that Kaalus’ focus is now squarely focussed on Multiplayer. OK, he first need to get the bug fixed version out the door, but after that he’ll probably go quiet again for a long time. One thing a lot of people do not understand, is that in order to get full multiplayer going, he\ll have to set up servers etc. This cost quite a bit of money and I figure that is one of the biggest reasons why he brought out version 2, to bring in needed funds. So stow away you 18 animals and mine carts for now. SC is now mature and it needs the finishing touches of multiplayer.
Let’s just sit back and enjoy what we have.
I dont think he should host the servers but rather let the community do so, it has worked out well for minecraft java and It might even do better here, if he was to publicly make avalible a way to host sc servers with the latest versions, this will give survivalcraft another opportunity with something that minecraft pe has yet to accomplish (Ik there are realms but that is mojang hosting paid servers, and there is pocketmine, but it isnt official nor does it support it very well (no mobs and such)). It will also give the community huge opportunities with build teams, minigames, rp, and just general community servers running the good old classic survivalcraft! I can already see the vast amount of ships stranding more and more people onto the continent daily ;)
That sounds like a great idea. I have an idea that Kaalus has something up his sleeve for this that nobody will suspect. The previous release has set the stage for things to come.
Is kaalus changing the new engine of the game?
That list was suppose to be stupid crazy long to hopefully stop the whiners … Also Multiplayer right now would have to only be in creative, otherwise a world would likely be mined dry. (Yes I know the worlds are “endless” but even 9,000 players all mining for germanium to build pisstons even an endless world would run dry.)
