Some people have complained that wood (as opposed to planks) is not a furniture material.
One reason behind it is that in challenging mode you would be able to take a hammer and with a single tap turn a tree in the forest into a little strange twisted shape. That would be odd.
Second reason is that the furniture would not look as you expect – i.e. like a wood carving. The bark would be “inside” the log.
So – no furniture from raw wood.
I think the best material for a lot of furniture is painted clay. It is smooth, so that you can add your own pattern. Existing materials patterns often collide with your design, because you have no control over where they appear. And it comes in all colors available in the game.
It’s the reason I made clay paintable.

But it’s still a colour and not a shade, seeing you already admitted you are no artist I will explain to you that to make brown you need to mix the 3 primary colours which are red yellow and blue, all of these are found in the rainbow… :)

Personally my Favorite blocks used to make furnitures are Clay (Painted), Planks, Granite, Marble, Iron, Copper, Diamond, Water and Lava…
I would like to use Glass more often, but in some cases is odd to see…
Unfortunately I haven’t used yet Sandstone or Stone Bricks to make furnitures, I dunno exactly the reason…

I’ve done it. I’ve also added a new texture pack for Creative with more colours. I’ve replaced the ores with new coloured blocks. Two colours, brown and orange, replaced the iron block and the malachite blocks. Those can be used in furniture.

I’ve got a similar thought. You should be able to go beyond buttons, switches and torches. We need custom chests, furnaces, crafting tables, and more! That’s my opinion, and my brother’s, and I think it would make furniture more interesting. Of course, I suppose with the furnace it would be hard to have a flame inside something that may not have room. :-/

I do think we should be able to make custom utilities though, such as furnaces, crafting tables, chests, and more. Why would you need a bigger crafting table? It already takes up the entire block and all recipes are 9 squares, I’m not sure where you are going with this but unless you mean you would like to have to place 2 crafting tables to get the effect of one? Cuz you know… That just makes sense…..
I think that someday it will be added, same as multiplayer. I think hidden chests would be nice though, like you could make it look like a block of stone. You could make fancy crafting tables. You could turn it into a block like Minecraft’s crafting table. Also, to anyone who thinks so, mine carts are an epic idea!
kaalus can you make the ocean 5% depper? and can you make coal, germanaim, Sulphur, salt peter, and stone chunks 3-d? and quartz sand and Quartz {quartz would have a rare chance of being found in caves} Quartz sand would re-plthe normal sand on beaches? sea sea shores.

I think the idea for quartz is epicness! Only one problem, so many of these awesome ideas are making Survivalcraft 2 more similar to Minecraft. One of my old friends said that Survivalcraft was just a copy of Mincraft. My other friends agreed. I think SC2 is much better than MC. Even though Minecraft added the End update.

I’ve been feeling like doing some hex editing again and was thinking that a furniture design world might be helpful.
Something like a world that demarcates 16x16x16 dimensions and perhaps other useful design ratios.
With hex editing I could create something like this very quickly.

No. its just a world where I’ve marked out 16x16x16 squares so you don’t have to guess the dimensions of what you’re building
I hate to follow the trend, but I have a suggestion of my own to make. Survival is very fun, but some of the community would like to see more adventure-styled maps. To reflect that desire, I thought of Creative-only “Respawn Blocks”.
“Respawn Blocks” are (as stated before) only obtainable via the Creative Inventory. They cannot be mined with any tool, only breaking them in Creative mode will work.
Tapping on a “Respawn Block” sets the player’s respawn point to the nearest empty space around that block within a 2 block radius, prioritizing the space directly above the block first.
Activating a “Respawn Block” in this manner (tapping on it) also fully heals the player (health, hunger, all levels of frostbite, etc).
“Respawn Blocks” are also compatible with electricity- activating a “Respawn Block” with electrical circuits sets the respawn point of all nearby (within 10 blocks) players to the area around the block. Players do not receive the healing effect by electronically-powered “Respawn Blocks”.
(I used the term ‘players’ here to indicate that, should multiplayer ever be added, this feature remains functional regardless the number of players in the same world)
“Respawn Blocks” allow map-makers to create checkpoints for their worlds without forcing the player to sleep (wasting time and detrimental to the story-telling). The healing effect is also very useful, as it is an instantaneous heal- something not yet added to the game.
The addition is a single block, but it adds an extreme amount of depth and possibilities for the game- it can be used in a variety of ways for Adventure, Survival, and even Creative mode.
Please consider implementing a feature with similar functions to this idea, as it would greatly benefit all players. Thank you.
a “respawn” block in creative would be neat and allow multiplayer since most of the -children- I mean players, play on creative mode anyway.
Epic! Only one problem. As I said in one of my other comments, all of these awesome ideas are pretty much copying MC. Everyone will most likely think that Survivalcraft 2 is a copy of MC. I really love the idea though!

So many people ask for more colours, especially brown and orange. Please, this is not now possible. Kaalus changed to 32 bits, but it looks like he took what was left of the bits to use it for product ID’s, especially for furniture. Remember you can make 1024 items, that alone takes up 10 bits. To me it seems that nothing is left for extra colours. If he took one bit for colours, we could have had 32 colours, but only 512 items of furniture. It is difficult to know which would be better though.
So it looks like we will have to wait until 64 bit before we see more colours, which could be a couple of years from now. What you could do though, is to make a block like limestone and give it an orange texture and take copper blocks and give them a brown texture. If you want, I could help you with it.

I have uploaded a new texture pack called Johan more colours. I have changed the ores to new coloured blocks and the iron and malachite blocks to brown and orange. Only the latter will work in furniture. See below for an example. This texture is not meant for survival mode but for creative. People rarely if ever use ores in builds.
Let me know if you want different colours. i hope this will help you a bit.

Invert? you mean turn furniture back into all the blocks you spent? That might be nice would make shipping ALOT of materials quick and easy…

I habe a new idea for a block. I call it “the placer”. Is a modified version of the dispenser that can place and break blocks of furniture.
Here is a photo what i mean:

You just need to fill the placer with blocks and places them in a row or a column. It places the blocks from the left to the right (red arrow). If the placer is under the surface or behind another block, he would start placing the blocks behind that block. The breakfunction would work the same way. You need to put in the blocks and their amount you want to break. It would break all blocks and the amout of them in the row or column behind the placer. I think for adventuremaps and creative would this be perfect. It would give us unlimited possibilities. Pls answer this comment if you see it, even if its impossible.

If Kaalus could make Carpets movable by pistons. this could help, but then carpets must be placeable on walls as well. This would make them place holders in effect.

I had written off Survivalcraft due to lack of updates. Imagine my surprise when browsing the Google Play store! I look forward to downloading this onto my Galaxy Tab 2. Survivalcraft 1 worked great on that one while Minecraft barely functioned.

Survival craft 2 is basically one just with twice as much glitch and slightly increased difficulty.
Or its a game based off sc1 but with an entire plethora of new creative aspects.
You could always just go back to playing Sc one on cruel mode? Then no one would have to listen to you carry on like anyone cares. :)

I think its a crazy good idea thats off topic but add plutonium/uranuim so.we can make nuclear bombs? Because i tried .about.1000 kegs 19 length*19width*3height and it didnt blow up much as i expected, fortunately my pc didnt explode in the process

I was creating random furniture and I’ve discovered a bug with furnitures!
Seems that furniture buttons or switches made with glass (or that have some glass embedded) doesn’t work properly… But I need to do more test

If the base of a furniture switch is made of Glass, they cannot be switched and they don’t even try to give an electric signal!
If furniture switch involves glass, seems that can be connected to electric wires, but they can’t send electronic signal…

1) In the Furniture menu, select your Furniture pack and then tap the (…) and then tap “Export to Content”
2) In the Main Menu go to Content, Manage, select your Furniture pack and then upload it on Dropbox
3) Copy the Dropbox Link from you Furniture Pack and upload it on the CC much like when you upload a World/Skin/Texture

So many people have asked for more colours, especially brown and orange. I have created a texture pack with more colours. I have used all the ores for new colours as well as the Malachite and Iron solid blocks. Only the last two can be used in Furniture and for them I’ve used brown and orange. I hope this will help a few people with creativity. The texture pack is called Johan More Colours. It should show in a while on community content:

N suvival craft 2. I have a world that has glitched and some or the blocks are gone but you can walk over them and not fall through… and there is streaks for the glitch… can you PLEASE fix it.. I love the games I have both but this one is not what I wanted to happen
