Made With Pistons

I made a quick dirty build in 15 minutes that uses pistons. See video.

Pistons in Survivalcraft are quite different from pistons in Minecraft. I’ll tell you about the differences later and show you more stuff.

      Is furniture analogously controlled?

      If not, why?

If it is, how does it work?
I need this for a PCD as in painted clay display!!!

Nice! If you can,can you let us paint the part of the piston that extends? It would make elevators look nicer..Also as a last minute request, can u make it so there’s no ocean? You can just remove the intro in this situation.

mosquitoes: If you get nauseous sting you for a while

2:a chat room where we can talk online to avoid creating wordlchat
    3: change texture of items
    for example: machete (sword)
    4: name of the player
5: option in the adventure mode: saved-sleep where when we die, all this as when we sleep (everything back into place, from the point asleep

I can already tell they’ll be much more different.

So will you use the edit button to choose the extension length of the piston or use different levels of electricity? Hopefully you just use the edit button.

Also what do you guys think the four copper dots are? In the picture they’re there, but in the video they aren’t.

Excuse me Kaalus, but I found a bug! This one I think only occurs in the iOS version of the game. When it is night, the stars are missing! Again, this only applies to the iOS version of the game.

Also, on some 64 bit iOS devices, certain things like matches do not have a well-erased outline. Also, bow graphics for bow on iPad Mini 2 and iPhone 6 need to be fixed. Also, I request 3D models for Sulphur, Malachite, Saltpeter, Coal, Stone Chunks, Germanium, Gunpowder, and Match.

Another Bug on iOS version only: No Stars at night

One more bug (all platforms): when your coordinates pass 0, you clip and fall through the terrain

Please fix these bugs. Thank you!

Cada nueva publicación, me da ganas de llorar por no tenerla pero feliz de que cada minuto que pasa estará más cerca el lanzamiento, pero luego recuerdo que primero sale a la versión demo en la play store 😛

WOW! I’m speechless. I just kind of screamed when I saw the smoothness of it and ahhhhhh. THANK YOU SO MUCH! You’ve worked so hard, and none of us can thank you enough!

    Yip, no comparison to minecraft.

This is impressive. I think the difference is that the poston works with induction. Maybe we will be able to make induction type minecarts horizontally, alla maglev. Just a thought.

The piston in Minecraft is not smooth but SurvivalCraft Piston is VERY SMOOTH

  11. Posted December 5, 2016 at 06:42 | Permalink | Reply

You defenetly use 7 pistons, not 6, because i counted 7 lift movement.

  12. Posted December 5, 2016 at 06:51 | Permalink | Reply

There are eight blocks of movement between each slowdown. Do pistons have an extension of eight blocks?

  13. Posted December 5, 2016 at 07:16 | Permalink | Reply

Theoretically we should be able to make all kinds of vehicles. If this is induction based, this will be really exciting. These positions I can push and pull, that is why only six was needed. I think we might be able to combine blocks to make bigger vehicles or lifts. We could make gaps to transport animals to an enclosure. I wonder if this will be able to work in watter as well, not probable, but maybe.

This is for me even a bigger update that the furniture of it is what I think.

    • Posted December 5, 2016 at 17:00 | Permalink | Reply

Really? How would you theoretically go about making a vehicle using these?

      • Posted December 6, 2016 at 05:33 | Permalink | Reply

I am just guessing, but maybe you could add more than one of these piston platforms to make a bigger platform and maybe you can build more that one block on these platforms to build something. I am also logically expecting that these pistons can work horizontally as well. This should give us the ability to make horizontal vehicles running like amaglev train. This is just speculation but it does make sense since Kaalus did say it works differently than minecraft.

I also suspect that the poston has 8 states (3 bits) or something, giving you the ability to move something in increments with a digital circuit, maybe even direction with the fourth bit, forward (or up) and backwards (or down). The default state would probably be 8 bits, or you could edit it like the delay gate. Kaalus dies this make sense?

If this is so, it would be an immensely powerful thing in survivalcraft, maybe even bigger that the furniture itself. But just speculation.

You Code the Piston so fast, but maybe you can add Fishing Rod? If you want to do it on 1.31v Please add worm for the bait (bread can too). I’m Exiting lol :D :D :D :D :D

Learned and guessed on abilities of the piston
-Can go up more than 1 block
-Elevators can be quickly made in 15 minutes with these pistons
-Pistons act like doors and hold there state or position without electronic charge
-Possible new spawn block (did not see extra pistons in elevator

Does this confuse anyone else? The first picture he showed of the pistons displays four copper “nails”. The one shown in the video is just plain. Or maybe he’s simply lifting something other than a piston int he video, but I don’t see why there would be a new kind of block just for a piston.

    • Posted December 5, 2016 at 19:41 | Permalink | Reply

Maybe 2 Different kind of pistons like MC?

Oh! Maybe the one shown in the video is like an elevator piston and the first shown is an electric one, due to the copper and semiconductor texture.

Kaalus, i found some more bugs. One is that chainmail is immune to buckshot, fish can take too much damage(like 2 crossbow shots) and that if you place 1 coulored slab and second one of a diffent colour the block is in the color of the top one. Also about the update ideas maybe you could add some more firearms like a revolver, or add a possibility to breed animals?
    Have fun programming.

    • Posted December 6, 2016 at 05:19 | Permalink | Reply

I think the idea is that water stops the shot quite a lot.

The issue with the colours is not a bug but a limitation. One block space can only have one colour (except with new furniture). If you have one slab in one block space and the other in the next, you can have two colours. Long ago, the 8 bit ZX Spectrum had the same issue with its colours.

Also it’s a bit weird when body wetness is not separated with clotes wetness. In current version, if you get wet and change to a new set of clotes you still have high wetness level
