Thanks a lot Kaalus by the coming update. But I think that is better you make only one more great update like this but for the “survivalist side” and after, only small updates as you have done in the last years. Unfortunately you’re losing some fans with the time it takes to release the update

Good to hear from you again Kaalus. I was hoping you hadn’t lost interest in this game. I had a request, I know you don’t like the unrealistic way that a bow might automatically reload. But on the other hand. I feel like this might make the game more fun from a game play stand point. Slightly less difficult yes. But fun. Anyway. It could be an option in the world’s settings or something. Could this be a thing please?

It would be cool to have a quiver. The quiver would basically add another hot bar slot but only arrows can be stored there, and of course you wear the quiver on top of everything.
And instead of auto reload there can be a button below the bow or crossbow that says refill.
One addition: Spears should go in quivers.

for example: fireflies, which they would serve to see in the dark for a some time

Omg can you make a working stove? Say place a furnace next to the stove item in the crafting table. What about particles that’ll shoot upwards from a chimney by adding coal?
Yeah, dont get too excited. Unless kaalus hires a team to make survivalcraft great again, we are pretty much going to end up with this update for a year, and adding a chimney isn’t his priority, considering you can make one yourself

Thats exactly what I needed to get me through this work shift, that’s awesome, and the kitchen furniture is mind blowing, and those stairs oh my god.
Could you make a dumbwaiter, hypothetically? Probably not because it would require great hit boxes as well as several frames and several true blocks. (I say true blocks meaning actual size blocks.)
I think you could, but it would have to be in an enclosed area to work. It’s hard to explain what I mean.
I think I see what you mean…you mean that there would have to be blocks around it so the food cannot escape. But preferrably you have a trapdoor or normal do to access it. :-P

I saw the Video today…
Boy, the Potential of Furniture is really unlimited, with x-states furniture (from 1 to 9, I guess), furniture buttons and levers there are a Lot of new opportunities for everything.
And then I’ve also noticed that colored wires aren’t available for all Colors which is OK, make colored wires for all the 16 colors would be a waste of time, white, gray, black, blue, green yellow and red are more than enough.
I actually dreamed of this post last night, what the heck?!

Watched the video once again… At 2:15 what it means “71 of 1024 furniture designs in use”? The limit of Furniture that you could have in a world or what?
Oh great, another limit on something…
We will have limits as long as hardware imposes it on us. The reason there is a limit, is if you increase this limit, performance will take a severe hit. Kaalus has increased the data limit from 16 bit to 32 bit. The next jump will come to 64 bit, which is a long way off. Then only will we see more colours, higher and deeper worlds etc. 1024 is actually way more than I expected. I thought we might only get 256 or 512 custom items. We should be thankful.

Omg omg omg!! Yay! I have been away from sc for awhile watching for this update and I think the time it’s taken has been a good break to get me fresh and keen to build a new world, watching that video made my mind blow! Soo many ideas omg I can’t even begin to describe.
THINK OF THE ART WORK PEOPLE! LEGIT TV SETS, PUZZLE LOCKS, TRAPS, INTERACTIVE NPC with some imagination sound boxs and hard work ;) just to name a few.. Please try not to take to much longer though. I would love to have it for Xmas holidays yay :) oh and thank you kaalus for being awesome

It’s probably because he is doing other things (ex. His life, working on features, or I don’t know a job?) That was a pretty rude thing to say, he doesn’t work for you. I hope people realize he’s not obligated to work on the game.
I hope survival craft is his job and not just a hobby, although if it is that would explain a lot.

This is a fantastic update Kaalus! This brings so many possibilities!
I like the idea that I can make my own customised house which is truly unique, next to that I can add more details to locations I was not able to do so previously.
This update makes Survivalcraft an even more advanced version of that, this makes Minecraft look like it originates from the stone ages. (No offence to the fans of MC, it is good in its own respect.)
But Survivalcraft truly shows all that is possible with voxel based world, and evolves it to the next level, the possibilities with this updates become virtually multiplied!
I just mean that I wonder why other block world makers like Minecraft never take advantage of all the possibilities of a block world and they never take it to the next level…
But Kaalus does did what Minedont… (Sorry, very old word joke…)
But really, I cannot even comprehend how much time and trouble it cost for every programmer for games like these on creating such an amazing work, it is an art on its own I guess.
Kaalus, can you add an option to turn objects into chests, that would make things like fridges a million times cooler. :)

after all this time with working with this update, would anyone have a problem with it being an update you have to pay for ? me not as much as long as it doesn’t exceed the original cost of the app, I only ask because of a few post back when the developer posted about advertising
I don’t really think that would be fair. Think about the ones who don’t get an income or don’t have parents that buy them whatever they want. Should we just leave them without an update? No, I think that would be a pretty sleazy thing to do.

Nice to see you back! I know you typically don’t tell us release dates (and for good reason), but I can always hope that this update may be a Christmas gift to us :-) Regardless, it’s one of my favorites and I can’t wait to come up with some cool furniture designs.

Hi Kaalus, I respectfully request you freeze features and release the furniture version for those that have hung in there the past 3 months.
This will be really useful for my Portal 2 map I am working on, I can use it for custom switches (like pedestal buttons).
And doors and cubes and panels and and and…
This addition might give you the ability to emulate piston functions. So a custom door could consist of blocks that move. This would satisfy a few who wanted this feature.

As you said Johan, based on what we know, pistons should absolutely be possible. Look at the door he walked through. That basically proves that multistate can work together with mini-colliders. That’s all we need for pistons, and many other very interesting devices. No, not cars, boats, or planes…that requires rigidbodies, which are a whole different thing.
What does he mean by a bunch of new staffs? I am really looking forward to it(≧∇≦)

Btw, is multiple interactive blocks also can be added within a furniture model.
Example : 3 dispensers and 1 furnace for a firework machine that is powered by 1 coal. once all the fireworks is launched, it will stop.
It’s also nice to have a new ui for it that consist of hotbar list 1~8 so we can access all the interactive blocks with the correct ui inside.
