Screenshots and new camera

Thank you for sending your screenshots, I’ve already received hundreds of them!

I want to make your job easier and give you more options so I quickly added a new, fourth type of camera to the game. Fixed camera. It stays in place and allows you to move and play normally. Hope you can take some great shots with it!

Should be publishing 1.29.8 with the new camera in a few minutes. I want to also release for Amazon and Microsoft today, but we’ll see how it goes. iOS still needs a few final tweaks for 1.29, but should be coming soon as well.

Some more screenshot advice:

• Make sure you disable UI, logo and select FullHD resolution in settings. I’ve received plenty of nice images ruined because you forgot the rules!
• Do not edit or crop the images. Send them as they are saved by the game. If they are not 1920×1080 pixels high-quality JPGs I can’t use them.

BTW, Kaalus, a suggestion for 1.30.
It is too expensive to manufacture paint because every new paint bucket you put in the furnace uses another coal.
I don’t mind the cost of resources to get the paint itself… it’s the amount of coal required to get the paint.
For instance, to make 1 red painted carpet you have to use 4 blocks of coal.
Then to paint a building red you can use up to 40 blocks just to get the paint.
Place make it so that the furnace remembers the percentage of the coal block used just like when you are making glass or cooked meat.
Or, allow stacking of paint buckets.
Sorry for the extremely long comment.

Just use regular logs instead of coal blocks. Why are you using coal BLOCKS anyway?

• Posted January 17, 2016 at 19:03 | Permalink | Reply

Sorry, not blocks. I’m using coal CHUNKS.
And I live in a dessert so gathering wood is an extensive chore.
Also, coal burns much longer than wood.

Hi kaalus, there is a bad graphic bug since 1.29.7. Long stretched texture stripes going up and down from blocks. I can make some disappear by destroying the higher blocks of the structure but others appear so basically I would end up destroyingthe whole castle. I’m on an Xperia tablet z running android 4.1.2 and everything had worked great so far.

After releasing it on Windows,IOS,Amazon…Why don’t you take a break from survival craft .(Or strictly start working on 1.30..whatever makes you happy)
Most of the Bugs don’t interfer with the gameplay.

Hey Kaalus, I have a bit of a problem.
My character is dark other than its hat and arms.
I don’t know why it does it,but it has been happening for a while.
I am on Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite, Android Lollipop.
It would be super awesome if you could look into it!

Bug: The delays of ground gates can’t be adjusted.

• Posted January 17, 2016 at 19:41 | Permalink | Reply

To adjust the voltage of the Adjustable Delay Gate you must to press the edit button much like Battery, Memory Bank or Truth Table…

• Posted January 17, 2016 at 19:53 | Permalink | Reply

Yeah obviously, but go try that on a delay gate that’s on the ground. Like I said, IT DOESN’T WORK. It works perfectly well on walls though.

• Posted January 17, 2016 at 20:05 | Permalink

I’ve Tested: I’ve placed an ADG (Adjustable Delay Gate) one in a wall, one on the ground and even One on a ceiling of a structure… All of them can be edited… I cannot understand why you cannot do that, an issue with your device? Or what?

• Posted January 17, 2016 at 20:16 | Permalink

@Chris: Only works on the walls for me.

Posted January 17, 2016 at 20:14 | Permalink

I also tested this. On a circuit containing 3 light bulbs, 3 ADG’s, and 1 switch. One on the ground, one on the ceiling, and one on the wall. All 3 displayed the exact same amount of delay.

• Posted January 17, 2016 at 20:15 | Permalink

@Cshels: Delays can be edited as of 1.29.

Yes, I know. I have 1.29. I edited them all to 1.50 seconds delay.

• Posted January 17, 2016 at 20:21 | Permalink

Well for me the edit button doesn’t even show for the ones I place on the ground or ceiling. All three (wall, ceiling, and ground) are the adjustable delay gate. Only the wall is editable.

• Posted January 17, 2016 at 20:25 | Permalink

Yeah but that’s not the problem here.

It’s bugged. I can only edit them when they are placed if they are on the wall. It’s important that this is looked into.

• cshels
Posted January 17, 2016 at 20:29 | Permalink

Oh, yeah that is a bug. I apologize. I didn’t even know you could edit them while they were in place, but I tested and I can, so it is probably device or OS specific.

Are you using a proper Adjustable Delay gate? I know I had a proble with that for a while

• Posted January 18, 2016 at 02:26 | Permalink | Reply

What do you mean by ‘proper’? If you mean THE adjustable delay gate and not the normal delay gate, yes I’m sure. I even just said I did above. I used the same exact block, one on each of three surfaces (ground, wall, ceiling), only the wall has an edit button.

Kaalus thanks for sharing the fixed camera! Seen it used in your vids, so awesome to get to use it too!

ICON change request – please add eyelashes to the eyeball POV icon! I keep hitting it by accident to take a picture it looks so similar to camera icon when you are tapping quickly. Its really frustrating to setup perfect scene, go to snap the pic, and BOOM you change POV and lose everything! Other than that I am thrilled.

I hope this shows up. I sincerely do because I have been trying to post my pictures for awhile know, and my posts aren’t showing up anywhere! Anyways.. I worked very hard on these builds, spent weeks on some of them. I hope you take the time to look at them because it is not really anything generally built on Survivalcraft, at least that I’ve seen. Also these are all my own creations, so you won’t find them anywhere else.
