It has been brought to my attention that the game occasionally crashes on Galaxy Note 4, and also possibly on Galaxy S5.
Unlike the bug from the last post, I much doubt that this one is my fault. It likely is another issue with Android platform that manifests only on certain phones. In short, it’s not something easy to find or fix.
If you have Galaxy Note 4 or other affected phone and experience crashes, can you please turn down the audio volume in game settings to 0 and see if the crashes continue? I mean game settings volume, not phone volume. Thank you!
In the meantime, please do not forget about Windows Store:
We are near the top in “New & Rising” category, but nowhere to be seen in Top Apps yet. It’s still early days. Btw. there are a lot more reviews than the 5 the store displays, but Microsoft seem to be slow in updating them.
I also have a feeling that the store image I am using is too dark and does not stand out enough. Might be changing it soon.

Might be recommended to do a factory reset on those. I find no fault in my Galaxy S5 plus I have the Nexus 5 with 5.1 and no problems with SC except a stupid error where I can’t download my phone. Although those devices have 5.0.2 and NOT 5.1.

Anyway actually Lollipop have problems with compatibility with certain apps or games (I’m not talking about Survivalcraft, it is in general…)
And for some users Lollipop works fine and for other users (me) Lollipop is a disaster… Even with same devices…

Yes I know, Android isn’t the best platforms, but then sometimes it’s not the OS and is bad coding on the developers part and vice versa which in this case it’s not. Never had any problems so I can’t really have any experiences

About Lollipop problems…
I saw many devices from friends, family etc Getting Worse day after day… I saw LG G3, LG G2, HTC one M7 and my old Nexus 7… Lollipop devastate them (especially Nexus 7).
And my actual tablet (Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact), was faster and more stable with Kitkat…
Yup. My Nexus 5 prior to Lollipop 5.1 which improved things considerably, was horrible. Laggy, phone got hot, apps were crashing, that memory leak was an annoyance and so much bugs! Lollipop was off to a bad start

I’m still enjoying the update for Windows with no problems. I like how the touchscreen controls disappear and reappear depending on whether you are using the touchscreen or mouse and keyboard.
Also I can’t figure out how to review an app on the Windows store.
I found some other bugs on iOS (I have an ipad mini retina, ios 8.3)
– the reset option in adventure mode does not work anymore…
– the white circle that appears when throwing something is way to big, I can’t aim properly.
– When I try to upload my world to dropbox, the game crashes… Its a 380 mb world, I’ve been building it since 2 years…. Now I want to upload it or just save it in my dropbox but the game crashes when I do, or it says “out of memory” in 1.26 I was still able to upload this same world… Please fix :/

Kaalus, IDK if this is intentional. I have only mouse and keyboard input on PC. I’m stuck with only split touch. I want to be able to access proper touch too, as we can’t reload bows without opening the body or inventory menu. There are many other things we can’t do only with split touch, but I haven’t listed them all as I haven’t taken proper note of them.
Make split touch default for Mouse n Keyboard, but do give us access to use proper touch too :)
About the visibility, you demonstrated how you had a lot (i think 1024) of distance draw a lot of posts back on your development tool on PC. Can us Windows 8.1 users get a slice of that too :D. I ask for 512 or 1024 options for Windows 8.1 :)

I know this is a bit off topic for this post but…I want to clear “clan world” players names. We were not trying to take over Survivalcraft. There were bad “clan worlds” and then there were good “clan worlds” that didn’t allow any cussing or desc. mating/s** or anything else…the bad “clan worlds” were what was the major issue! the adventure worlds they made usually had a name that gave them away such as “love” or “breeding” and most of the RP or “clan worlds” did but some didn’t they were disguised under other names Kindoms and Cities had rules that allowed dating and other such things…Kaalus even said he did not think that the good RPs were neccesarily bad, just annoying to people that build big worlds, and I agree that it probably annoyed y’all that we posted a lot…and i’m sorry that it bugged you but I hate looking at this blog to check the progress of the new update and see all this bad things being said about Roleplayers. I’ll follow the new rules and make a website…but I just wanted to say this.

The problem is that with clan worlds, people are basically chatting on the cc, spamming the cc for people who aren’t a part of the rpg world (which is most people).
yes, I agree with you with the CC divided as it is now…It would be helpful to have more sections. RolePlay, Adventure Worlds, and then the really cool builds…then a Top Ranked inside the Adventure and “Cool Builds” sections…but I dont think that’s going to happen.

I have a Galaxy S5 and have never experienced this problem. Then again, I haven’t updated my phone since I got it since rooting it kinda ruined the ability to update :-P Wonder if that has anything to do with it or not.
There is a bug with the Windows version of SC, when you take screenshots, the screenshots looks bad and distorted.

Kaalus should release the game to steam as well.
It’s not as easy as simply letting the people at Steam sell the game. SC is written for the Windows Phone, not the PC. There is a difference. Microsoft is trying to get rid of that difference but they can’t go back in time and change the OS they have already released. In short, it’s not that SC is written for the Windows PC, itit’s that the Windows 8.1 plays games from the phone.
If you find another OS that plays games that were written for phones (say, certain flavors of Linux/Android) SC would work on them as well. Steam has nothing to do with it.
ISSUE: Kaalus, can you review the spawn code for sleeping? Every time I sleep I wake up with no fewer than 5 lions around me. At first I thought it was bad luck but iI’m starting to question if something isn’t wrong, as it happens ALL the time. I’m using a Galaxy Note 12.2 running Android 4.4.2

To whoever created the new Survivalcraft roleplay website: on my phone (Galaxy S5) the particular theme you are using is buggy. The title overlaps into the menu, making it impossible to navigate the site. I don’t know if anyone else experiences this issue, but you may want to change the site theme. Thanks :-)

Maybe you can put a bucket of water in a water purifier or a furnace, then put it in a glass.
But a bucket will hold more than one glass of water so you will have a bucket of purified water with a bar that decreases everytime you drag a glass cup on top of it

But every once in a while I think of the difficulties that would come with multiplayer, like how can you identify yourself? It could be part of the survival experience but still, how would you be acknowledged in the code? Your Game Center account? Guess you can make your own name though.
Maybe if you are the host (creator) of the world, in the code you are addressed as “Host” and the others visiting are “Join1″,”Join2″,”Join3” and so on. Does the code for this game work that way though? I’m not so sure…

This is the first time in a while since ive commented,sad.

Whats up with the hate for minecraft in the comments if not of minecrafts existance this blocks and mine genre may had not even existed and many games took minecraft as inspiration including this one and terraria, minecraft pc is a fun to play game on multiplayer and vanilla survival is good too and with updates will get better and minecraft pocket edition may not as good as the pc version but its in ALPHA state they update game each 3-4 months like survivalcraft and terraria and add many stuff to the game and it grows slowly but steady on its way to become a very good game
Look at 0.11.0 update they made some interesting changes and nether will be added possibly in 0.12.0 including cool mobs like ghast the singleplayer part of the game is getting interesting to play now it doesnt feels like the survival part is empty like it used to be some versions ago.
And survivalcraft got a new engine and things like campfires, a thunder button to have fun in creative and other cool new additions in this time so let devs do their jobs and make our games better instead of bashing -_-
Btw last time all 3 major craft games got updates back in december Terrarias 1.2 update was imo the best and biggest one but now after 4 months terraria only got a bugfix update while survivalcraft got a whole new engine and camp fires, better water graphics, a new animal etc and minecrafts soon to be finished 0.11.0 update got a few mobs, world edit options, boats, skin selector and model overview, effects like poisoning etc i think for me minecraft had a bigger improvement and wins this time survivalcraft may got a new engine but its too early to see its awesomeness in action xD
So lets see what we get in 3 more months :D (though i feel like survivalcraft is getting an update in 2 months time)
Btw for me the best singleplayer experience is this in order: (as of last stable/beta versions)
1. Terraria
2. Survival craft
3. Minecraft PE

Survival craft (no multiplayer and i wont miss it but maybe this games multiplayer would be cool imagine player vs player fight in tropical maps like the ones created by the community or a having each 2 weeks a event on a big map with the last survivor standing gamemode where say 20 players start with only a sword and pickaxe and need to kill everyone else until 1 player is left who wins a rare unique item not found by any other means xD)
Or someone could have everyone captive in a blimp (once Pistons are added that means flying machines), someone does a prison break and secretly plants gunpowder kegs and jumps out of the blimp as it explodes behind the hero..EPIC!! (This needs a way to move blocks and multiplayer in order to happen)

If he does decide to add multiplayer, it may take him equivalent to, if not longer than the wait for the posts about 1.27. I would be prepared for a possible 2-4+ month wait with no posts if that’s the case, because multiplayer is a huge thing to add to a game especially for someone who is working by themselves.
That’s not too long as long as it’s multiplayer.
Might get worried if it were 1 year+, though.

Here are correct Weapon Powers:

Diamond Edge Axe: 11
Diamond Edge Shovel Shovel MUST BE 3.5
Diamond Edge Axe MUST have Hack Power of 9
Diamond Tip Pickaxe MUST have a Quarry Power of 10.
These errors were in the game since the 1.22 update. Kaalus, PLEASE FIX THESE IN THE BUGFIX UPDATE ALONGSIDE WITH THE IOS AND GALAXY NOTE 4 CRASHES! Thanks!

Multiplayer would be awesome. If you don’t want to play it you don’t have to. Sure 100 people might be against it, but thousands are for it. Are you saying you can’t survive in a group? Interesting that we have civilization at all then, seeing as how you can’t have more than one person survive.

I dont dislike multiplayer but i dont love it either. First off my friends dont play sc and i have no problem playing alone. And the game would get bigger and laggier just by having it in the system. Also multiplayer would have millions of bug.
I have no doubt that kaalus would add multiplayer someday though. Many costumers want it.
And i think competing each other in survival mode would be the most fun in sc multiplayer. Survival mode is what makes sc differnet from mc.
Sniping each other with arrows and making traps…. We can use dyed clothes as camouflage.

Guys they have a point, (guns, chainsaws, swords and axes are now pointed at my head I know) I do want multiplayer still, but these guys don’t want multiplayer and if it takes a year Kaalus cannot upload updates of small things like penguins ( yes I want penguins as well as MP) that they want they will quit because Kaalus has spent 1year+ developing a feature they will not go near. So to them multiplayer will p them off so badly. But guys it’s the majority so guys no offence but if we are prepared to wait a year we will wait a year or two or ten (ok over exaggeration) everyone will guys patience patience patience

When you get attacked while you are riding a boat or a horse, you dont get damaged. Not in 1.27.
If you dont understand what i mean, just hit a phiranha riding a boat.
This is a serious bug, affecting the survival mode gameplay. It needs to be fixed asap.

Not sure if this is a glitch or if my account got banned…I tried to upload a world to my Dropbox (it was a RP world, but I was going to post it on my website) and it said that it had an error…code 503 I think? but I haven’t posted anything since the whitelist…it hasn’t let me…I have been uploading until about an hour ago, then it gave me an error code…please help!

I tried pressing upload, but that only makes the world a personal world, not on the community content.
I know because when I press “Your Worlds Only” (Before that feature was removed), my worlds were not there.
You go into “private” choose the world, copy the link, and push the three little dots in the bottom right corner of the CC, enter the link and press publish. I hope this feature comes back…along with a categorized CC…

The purge idea is that when someone posts a world, after a time it will be removed from the cc, so as to refresh the cc with new content.

If you upload an “item” in the CC (item it mean: world, skin or Block Texture), that must to do more than 1000 downloads between 5 days…
If that item doesn’t make more than 1000 downloads in 5 days, the “item” will be deleted…

Some time ago, I had uploaded a Block Texture called “Metallic Texture HD 1.27″…
In five days he did 900 downloads; that was OK until I checked it on the sixth day… The Metallic Texture was deleted on the Community Contenent…
Next I tried to upload a Block Texture called “Minecraft Drake B 1.27″…
In five days he did more than 1000 downloads, and in the sixth day my Minecraft Texture was still present on the Community Contenent!
Well… Actually the “Minecraft Drake B 1.27” Texture is still present on the CC and you can easily find it on the Top Ranked Section of the Community Contenent!
Actually the stupid Worlds are not the most popular ones… On the Top Ranked Section now you will find Good worlds (Mansions, Evamor, Fancy City, Many electronic games made by MGBlitz)… But is true that, if you scroll down many pages om the Top Ranked Section, you will begin to find stupid Worlds (Diamond Dimension, Ultimate Dimension…)…
Unfortunately the Recently Added section is now a mess…
As I said many weeks ago, the situation with Block Textures is a bit better than Worlds…
Or (last resort) Kaalus can put a warning in the game threatening to remove the cc.

Here’s a great alternative to pistons: Conveyor Belts! A way to power it could be an analog signal, the speed is how strong the signal is! or it could be set so only a kind of Items/Blocks could be moved! This could be a great way to automate stuff with chests because they take items now! It could also move you, but it shouldn’t be faster than horses! This could be very useful in making Adventure Maps! Kaalus please add this!
Thought of that once. It is a good idea. Maybe a conveyor belt pointing away from a chest takes items from it (you said it could take specific items) and maybe the direction can be reversed via a certain input.
I wonder if you would need to actually email Kaalus for him to look at that idea.

If you’re still interested in helping, the new texture pack version changed a lot. I don’t like most of it. The wrong things are clay, iron block, copper block, diamond block, diamond tools, vines, diamonds, saltpeter, basalt, all painted blocks, brick wall, copper ore, malachite ore, diamond ore, germanium ore, and sulphur ore. If you could just replace the “Updated” textures of these with the old ones keeping new textures except the textures I didn’t mention I would be happy, but of course don’t feel the need that you have to. Basically just replace all the textures with the olds textures except for the new stuff. Thank you!

What REALLY annoying is that if you look at the minecraft reviews, theres comments like this is the best game in the world i love it its so awesome its really fun thanks for making this game blah blah. Hardly any stupid requests. But when you look at sc review, you will find dragons, zombies, pets, npc, nukes, disasters, apocalypse, mars, unicorn, ridable turtles etc.(and all these were from the actual comments on google play.)

Lol muzzle loaders are way too general for a gun they still make those so I assume you meant something along the lines of a musket? But FYI muzzle loader literally means you load from the muzzle (barrel) So if you were to tell him that suggestion be sure to be specific :D

He uses Cinema 4D, a 3d modeling program. However, recommend Blender 3D. It has the same possibilities as Cinema but its free whereas Cinema isn’t. Personally I use Blender.

Kaalus made SurvivalCraft very cleverly. It’s hard to make mods. And in addition you can only make very simple ones such as texture changing or model modifications. Adding new aspects to it is nearly impossible (for us I mean, not Kaalus). Also as much I know, making mods for SC is illegal. That’s why Kaalus is hesitant to add mods as a feature (it has been suggested multiple times). In addition, I don’t think Kaalus appreciates that his games that he has worked on very hard is changed and modified. That’s why in 1.27 update, he made the new engine, to protect his game. So far no 1.27 mods have released and it is nearly impossible to unpack the content files of the game. (Before 1.27 it was possible to extract them). One more thing, mods will make the SC more “Minecrafty” and with Microsoft owning Minecraft, making it very similar is the last thing we want to do.
Everything I said above is my opinion and view of the situation. I did not want to offend anyone or discourage or encourage anyone. This is solely my opinion. Forgive me if I said something harsh.
About the new Game Engine, I just wanted to clarify, there are several reasons for Kaalus making it. Some of them are that more possibilities for updates are possible (Ex. Water transparency). The game protection I talked about is just one of those reasons. And again, this is all my opinion.
If I could make a mod it would probably have to be thirst.

I’m just afraid he would get mad if it is already a very popular idea, like multiplayer or a search bar. I am very hesitant to email him. Probably would try to suggest a very unique idea like flying birds only laying eggs on leaf blocks or certain animals breaking through weak blocks.

Adding mods would not make the game minecrafty. Really the best idea would be to allow mods, as more people would play, kaalus could charge more for the game, and well, that means more money and the kaalus has money to continue work longer.

Cant take screen shots, it dosent take the pictures.
Audio Cache causes audio to cut out completly after alittle bit of playing time.
Visual glitches cause presure plates and LED ligts that are off to disappear when you move away from them.
when mving away from walls that i make, blocks start to flash and then become distorted move left to right it gets worst, making some pictures ugy in some places.
Audio bug, when i place a not gate and delay gate beside each other facing a different direction on a 2×3 wall then add wires on the top and bottoms, then connect a sound generator, the “pulses or sound are abmoral speed , making my old alarm desin useless.

Unlike minecraft there is so many bizzare creatures lurking around and suddenly blast of your ass.. ^_^! I really love your “Reality” game and I always await ur upcoming updates.
I request some objects for your upcoming update..:
Fishing rod- its hard to catch fish even you beat them with diamond sword and also water combat are very tiring. So why dont we have fishing rods?
Flintlock guns- since we have gunpowder, we can use flintlock guns- are deadly but so hassle to reload coz it needs gunpowder and iron balls simultaniously to reload
Gliders/Parachutes (or both) – parachutes save ur life from fall, while Gliders add some fun too!
Slingshot!- we have lots of stones and I want to make us of it. Bullseye!
Arrow shooting turret- how about a next step in electronics, AI arrow shooting turrets shoots down predators in your lawn (coz its very tiring in the morning killing wolfs making mess with my lawn, they step on my beloved tilled soil!!)
Integrated Circuits- You electronics is ALMOST there! the problem is the SPACE, making a simple one frame digital signals in LCDs occupies an entire soccer field. Why not them compress it into single Integrated Circuit? I mean try to compress the LOGIC of an existing circuit into a single IC chip.
More animals- snakes, chickens, butterflies (i love butterflies), flying predators and etc:
A large boat- like the boat who brought you into the island and saying “We will never coming back!”. I need that boat to travel farther ilands. also that boat carries Chest coz I cant bring my all items overseas coz of my limited storage in my bag.
Saddle with bag- Speaking of bag. You wish to migrate in other places but you cant bring all your items, instead you tend to fetch your items back and forth between from your home to your new home. Riding a horse with Saddle carrying a bag (or two bags) with similar capacity of a chest make this problem easy.
More traps- like a devices electicutes the animals. (some fisherman use electronic device to electicutes the water to kill fish) Trap that when touched, a log will fall on the victim.
and etc.
Zipline/cablecar! (or both)- unlike minecraft having railway system. In survivalcraft, we have unique zipline and cablecar! cablecars carries items too!
Dynamic fishing!- I wonder why bombs only explode at the bottom of the sea
Robots-Why not? We already have electronics but machines is the only lacking. Robots that have engines, pneumatics/hydrolics with AI chip. Robots that kills predators and tend you gardens!

Maybe asking for the same thing over and over again seems annoying, but it shows kaalus that we want something in the game. Kaalus is a developer, my dad was a developer, and his boss would always ask more of him every time he made something. The reason being, no program is ever perfect. The developer does not decide I the app is good. The users decide what is good, the customer is always right.
Also, yes I understand how hard it can be to program, but if kaalus doesn’t want to program, he shouldn’t have chosen this profession. It would help if there were guidelines on what direction he wants, so we don’t get this useless spam asking for Minecraft stuff.

They added magma cubes, squids, baby squids, rotten flesh, baby zombies, bats, skins, redstone blocks (no redstone power yet), cave spiders, boats, the ability to cure status effects with milk, rotten flesh, chicken and spider jockeys, the ability to switch between creative and survival modes, a toggle for infinite day, fish, the ability to dye collars, etc.
Basically, it was a huge update.

Maybe all blocks should fall to the ground if they are not indirectly connected to bedrock (except sand and gravel, which fall all the time). This means that a tree would fall block by block unless you got the leaves out of the way and you can’t make floating islands unless you switched to static mode.
What I mean is you need to get the leaves out of the way when cutting a tree or else you would suffocate.

No. It means that the building will stand because it is connected to the ground, which is connected to bedrock.
The ceiling is connected to the walls, which are connected to the floor, which is connected to dirt, which is connected to stone, which is connected to ores and bedrock. So the building stands.
It means no floating blocks (unless they naturally spawned or you placed them in static mode)

I don’t know what you mean. This is the 1.27 default texture downloaded directly from this site. Maybe it’s the orientation. And I don’t remember the diamond ore texture to be updated. I remember Kaalus increasing the resolution of the default texture.

I love the game so much the onlymthing that bugs me is the fact that you can be completely wet and be on fire at the same time… Shouldn’t fire just hurt you when you are completely wet? And when we are dry we can burn like the little marshmallows we are? Its the little details like that that bug me the most. Like cactices hurt you even if you have armor

I think Kaalus is working on multiplayer…. Think about it. The top three requests were 3. Armor, 2. PC edition, and 1. Multiplayer, right? He just did armor and pc edition. Or, perhaps he’s doing fishing poles and a search bar. I would peg those at four and five. Six would be taming, I think. Anyone else have thoughts on this?

Other randomblockgames with high scores is mostly due to the fact those are free, regardless of being good or not, people seem to randomly stick alot of 5 stars ratings on some really, really bad blockgames… (Mostly small kids I presume.)
Kaalus can use some adverts I guess, SC stickers like in Supermarkets, social gathering places both online and real gatherings, and perhaps a lanternpole or two?
Hopefully his game will become the king that rules them all, it deserves the credit!

Thx! It was really no trouble at all, I wanted people to know that SC is not failing in any way when it comes to sales, as a SC fan, it was important for me to let people know. Sometimes it becomes a little difficult to make out the difference with all the other blockgames around, but thankfully SC is still going strong.
Not to be rude, but heads-up: the Windows Phone Marketplace was renamed WAAAY back to be called WP Store. Within a year, it will be merged with the Windows 8.1 and Xbox One app stores to be called just the Windows Store.
Speaking of that, once Windows 10 is out properly for all Devices, will it be possible to play SC on the XBOX ONE? If so, then he needs to release multiplayer before that, because it would be better to release a game on the Xbox one with multiplayer.

I have updated the first one I made. Some changes are that diamonds are 3d, addition of torch with realistic fire in the background, changes to the basalt in background and some minor things. I do know that the fire isn’t 100% realistic. I’m working on that.

I like the idea of beds in SurvivalCraft. Not only they can be used for decorational purposes but you will be able to sleep in them. Now I’m not against being able to sleep on blocks in SC, but the beds won’t hurt this feature. This is what I thought of, sleeping on planks or dirt will not satisfy the need for rest completely but around 90%. That way when you go mining or something you will will be tired faster. However if you sleep on a bed, you won’t get tired as fast, meaning that you can work for longer periods of time. Also we pretty much have the crafting recipe for a bed. Three planks on the bottom with three canvas’ on the top. I think this is a cool little feature that should be added.
Yes, is not a bad idea… Maybe the Recipe is better with carpet instead of canvas…
I say it should only rest you up to 65% when you sleep on blocks. This is the equivalent to 26 in game minutes (about a day and a half) However sleeping on beds would rest to 100% the equivalent to two days like it is in the game now.
I like this idea so much that I have created a image of what a SC bed might look like. This just my imagination going wild. I’m not confirming anything about SurvivalCraft.

I can confirm when I lower the game volume to zero, it does not crash. Anything about zero crashes. I have a note 4 on Tmo.
Maybe Kaalus is working on a new game platform. If he is, it’s probably Mac, but I hope it is Wii U. The only Minecraft-like game on this platform is Cube Life: Island Survival, which from the reviews I’ve seen, isn’t very good. An Xbox version of SC would also be cool, but not as cool as Wii U.

I had the crash too. Once I put the device in landscape orientation it loaded. Must be something wrong with orientation detection (xperia z3 tc with 5.0.2)

Hey all! For those who use SeusCraft Texture Editor for iOS, you probably have noticed it’s not working with the latest iOS update which is what I’m also experiencing on my iPad 3. I contacted the dev via twitter and got response saying that they will look into the matter. In the meanwhile the app still works well on my iPod 4 running iOS 6 (the highest it can run), so if you have a device that is running iOS 6 it should work fine.
Hopefully big things are looking up behind the scenes for Kaalus and the SC franchise which is why we probably haven’t heard from him. IMHO Survivalcraft is the Dark Horse of the craft building genre and while I can respectively credit some of the other games, I will always side with Survivalcraft.
I’m going to stop coming here it tells me if kaalus has posted again on google.

I think Kaalus is either working on multiplayer or a new platform (hopefully Wii U or Xbox 360). What else could take so long? Please reply if you can think of something else.

Games are not being released for that console anymore. Also, Wii doesn’t have a GamePad, which would make control harder.
I wouldn’t say Wii u would be a viable target platform as it costs a lot of money for liscencing fees. Also another thing to point out he has completely remade a purpose built engine, however xbox is possible with schemes like Xbox ID but do you think it will be able to compete with minecraft Xbox (I would love to say yes but) good suggestion anyway maybe in the future we could see other platforms

I’d like to see some more creature, like squirrels, snakes, mice and bugs. Especially bugs, like fireflys and mosquitos. And mosquitos can land on you and there could be a slapping sound and animation as the character slaps it. Also meat on a stick could be cool, I could shove some bacon on a stick and roast it on a fire. Perhaps a poison effect for the snakes?

Kaalus has dropped off the face of the earth. I think the team for Minecraft PE had him assinated.
These updates probably cost Kaalus a lot of time, effort and hard work.
Next to that is most likely the fact he has a job as well and all our updates are essentially freebies, those are not essential updates that are requered.
There might be personal issues that needs attention or simply alot of stress to keep the fanbase happy. (Which was an unforseen event after all.)
He might also be working on yet another update, but no matter what happened, there is most likely a good reason that the project seems silent for a while, and most certainly he does not do it to bully us. (-:
People are people, not robots, and this person was putting his entire effort into it, undoubdetly. (Did I spell that correctly??)
But the fans are hunger, eager people that have an unsational lust for updates, which is also admirable, it is a sign that the game is being loved.
We are like babybirds that scream for their motherbird to feed them more, which seems endless.

I don’t even have Survivalcraft anymore 😵. The reason however, is not that I hate survivalcraft, it’s just I’ve finally replaced my iPod 4th gen with something newer and more androidy. I’ve not set up paid app installation yet so I’ll obviously get SC as soon as it comes out. Even more so if it’s multiplayer.
(Not having lag on the demo with something above 64 blocks view distance is amazing!)

I really hope multiplayer is coming. On an earlier post I commented about how multiplayer should be designed, but of course it wasn’t added. If you look at the FAQ, it says multiplayer would take a very long time.

Hey for the guys who think that he is dead or something like the microsoft folks taking care of Minecraft arrested him, I just hope that he is working on multiplayer or on a mac version, which would be awesome
But by the way, Kaalus, I discorde a performance issue on iPad mini 2, using Apple A7 64 bit clip. When ever it becomes evening or morning, the game gets very laggy with about 20 fps, but the rest of the time everything is fine. I discovered that when you tu off completely the fancy sky thing, it stops. It didn’t do that before 1.27. the new update didn’t fix it.
I Hope you’l find a solution, because I and a bunch of people love your game! Keep up the good work!!

Also, I want animals to require food and water when in captivity… and I want the player’s character to also need water (not salt water).

Ok, probably not, but the idea of him giving up on the game saddens me, although he doesn’t seem like the person that would that especially since he did dislike that the creator of minecraft sold minecraft. Kaalus has probably gone on vaction for a while and has probably then come back and some coding or something. I know he wouldn’t give up :) Still though, Fallout4 is going to be the greatest game in existence for like 10 yrs.

I don’t believe that he would just stop working on SC. I can prove that. Every since this “silence” started, there have been updates to the game. On Android, the 1.27.19 update came out and he didn’t mention it. On Windows 8.1 PC, a new SC called “SurvivalCraft Beta” was released. I’m sure there is something like that for Apple devices. He is still working on it.

Perhaps, but he said himself that he hated the fact that the minecraft creator sold his game, and Kaalus has bee working on his game for 4 years. I don’t think he would just drop SC for the money he made working on the same game for 4 years. Maybe he’s even making another game. Lets be honest here, as a programmer I get burned out pretty quick working on a game within a few months, so maybe Kaalus got a little tired on SC, or maybe h’es taking a deserved year off, or maybe he’s even workin his ass off over there at Candy Rufus, or the worst of them all – He lost all source code. There was a bugfix for android released a while ago so no the guy aint dead he releases an update then the bugfixes and wont post for months then starts to post when he is about to release a new update… plus he kept releasing update after update and he most likely took a big break for summer so stop freaking out lol
In another note minecraft pe and terraria are getting big updates very soon i wonder if survivalcraft will get 1 too i wont be surprised if Kaalus returns out of nowhere with something big.

In all honesty I’m not one to always say “He’s working on multiplayer I know he is!” Because I don’t personally mind if he does or doesn’t but I think he really may be working on multiplayer. I think this because Kaalus doesn’t like telling us about big features until he knows they will 100% work in the game, therefore he may not be posting because he is working out all the details and problems multiplayer causes. Also, because someone mentioning one of the stores called SurvivalCraft a beta game. He mentioned he would add multiplayer when the game becomes beta, so here we are, the moment of truth. Alright this 5 month vacation each semi-Massive update is getting old. At least give us a post, doesn’t have to be about anything. Let the community know you are alive. The money has made you selfish, but that’s just my opinion. I bought this game a max 3 times on different devices. I have my right to complain.
Selfish? How is he selfish? Maybe the long wait is because he may not have anything important to post, or maybe he wants it to be a surprise until he is almost finished to cause a hype.
All we can do is assume. Yes selfish, selfish because once you have the money of thousands or tens of thousands of fans (idk how many honestly) you wouldn’t be obligated to have to add a thing via updates. Half a year for things like water transparency and Ai path finding, arnt exactly worth the wait. In my opinion of course.
On the last update he did not only add water transparancy, he moved all of survivalcraft to a new engine.

Maaaate when is this gonna develop? This is a sick game and it would seem that your customers would like you to make it better! Dude are you gonna do anything or what!?!? Mine craft dare I say it have been releasing updates and they are always active with keeping everyone in on what they are doing and how it is developing why don’t you do the same? It would seem that you are gone and this game is just going to die out…
Honestly, my guess; Kaalus probably gets hundreds of emails, forum requests, he has a lot of work on updates and other stuff, while feeling a great pressure from the huge demand and fan-base.
Lets say I wanted to be member of a social club, or I builded an app for fun, but after a while the work became tedious, but I felt I couldn’t abandon the club because of obligations to the other members, or any fan-base of an app, but I just want to quit, that would make me horribly unhappy, I think we all felt that once…
Or at work when you feel the pressure of your colligues to perform not to let them down, but in the meanwhile I work way too hard than I should…
I can image something similar might happened here…

I just wanted to say that Kaalus should do what he feels best with for himself, not us (I cannot speak for others though) I rather play a game when I know it did not break the developer, than playing the game when I know it did not make Kaalus happy at the end.
This is but pure speculation.
But perhaps we can open a special page on the Survivalcraft forum about the absence of Kaalus as long as we keep it polite and funny. (-:

Kaalus always stays silent until an update comes out, that is more effecient and he always surprised us all!
Who knows, I can only speculate because I do not have enough information on what is going on, but I can depend on my patience, or perhaps the game is finished the way it is! (Minecraft PE had way longer waiting times before an update) (I don’t really think the game is “gone” there is more to do than Minecraft wether updates are still to come or not.)
In MCPE I am bored in minutes, SC is so much more diverse! (-:

We Continue to Forget that Kaalus Released an Update around the 7th of July (Or a bit later in Non-Android devices)… So… Kaalus was “alive” untill 07/07… But then… No more news about him and the game…

Yeah, he made some changes such as a bigger cross hair, bug fixes, animals not running towards you before eating the food you throwed for them and instead going directly to it, and some minor changings.

It’s its own unique block game built by 1 person for 4 years now. That takes true dedication to do something like this. This was the first block game I was actually TRUELY impressed with. It has all the aspects I like – hunting, constructing, fishing, SURVIVING all in one. And here we all are criticizing the one person that made it all possible for us to even experience this, Kaalus (wish I knew his real name to put here :p, seems more right). From one programmer to another, Kaalus, you are a true inspiration.

I’ve always assumed kaalus on stackoverflow is the same kaalus. The site is a community of programmers. What’s the chance of there being two kaalus’? Plus, he was very active on the site in March and not much since then. Same pattern. (I don’t try to pry into his life but it’s a top return for a kaalus Google search).

I have been enjoying SurvivalCraft for years on a Nokia Lumia 710.
Recently upgraded to Nokia Lumina 530, but it won’t run, it turns my phone off instead of loading up to play.
So I can’t play it! Help!

Well, I have been playing survival craft for 2-3 years and this is my first comment ever after looking at 80% of his posts >:P Also if I were you all I won’t give up on Kaalus because there has been evidence that Kaalus has updated the demo to 1.27 and iOS bug fixes for 1.27… Kaalus just to say that when you repost please notice the work been put in on the Survival Craft wiki.

Kaalus the game is amazing better than ever I know you are out there alive working hard on making survivalcraft the grate game it deserves to be you have been an inspiration to me and I thank you very much… In case you were wondering who I am I go by nutnut I am the Creator of Egyptian traps and default femail scskin I’m soon going to upload a skin named nutnut… I’m shoure that you are making multiplayer right now. Hey. I think that what is sad, is that we must face reality. If he was just busy, he would not leave the community dying, because a game that isn’t updated makes potential buyers turn away. No one would do that. He would give signs of life, even just for business. Like anyone normal, if he gets bored or angry at a project, Kaalis would just leave it there and move on. He wouldn’t just take time to reassure his fans about him . It’s that sad, humans forgot and move on. Plus, there are many potential factors that may explain his decision: we long said that Microsoft wouldn’t sue him, because there was not much plate form conflict. Now he set his game to the windows store. He added a new engine: well if it caused him problems it’s likely that he couldn’t find a backup, and that he just couldn’t fix it normally. There’s the windows 10 thing too. It may cause him problems, and this means also the cross platform with XBOX. Plus, mine craft updated a lot with the nether and the new mobs and difficulty and skins and all… All to discourage him. And about iOS. Maybe they wouldn’t remove his game from the AppStore, but maybe he can’t update it. They’re really strict. And also, I heard that they are not accepting new apps and updates that support older iOS versions: this means I create a new app it must be iOS 9 only. He doesn’t wanna lost all the clients from older version. And swift 2. Apple updated their programming language, which is great. But one of my programmer friend had memory leaks problems with it. With all of that summed up, it makes a lot of challenges for one guy to complete development of his game against big competition, like Microsoft that has a bunch of programmers that are seeking bugs, and that’s why. Sad, he might think that it’s better to leave his game like that for it to stay across time like it is now, and not to screw or up more. I’ll show to my kids that game, and explain its story. That’s maybe why, the platform conflicts and the windows 10 and the iOS version support, he might have given up. Like everybody on this chat would’ve.

Kaalus has done an incredible job… doing something for as long as he has you’d expect that he would continue to do it. That means that he is most likely to be making sc the game it deserves to be. This also means that if he had a pattern of posting every day on an update he is working on before going silent for a year or so that he would be doing it right now he is not dead he is just doing what he has always done he is my hero and thanks to him my dream is to program the games of the future and follow his footsteps and never giving up on those who follow me… He has been an inspiration to me and to many others he hasn’t given up on us so we can’t give up on him you can do it kaalus!!! Make us proud as always!

Do you know what would be awesome in this game? Carro ballistas, polybolos, and manuballistas. What are these? Carro ballistas were used in Roman times and driven by horses. Polybolos were probably used in roman times, but it isn’t known. They are rapid fire ballistas! Manu ballistas were like crossbows but had more punch. Everyone settle down! Koalas will post, i know it, but no use in sending hate mail to each other! That probably makes kaglsu feel worst of all, his blog becoming a boxing ring! I once had my share of fights, when i was known as Hal bishop (using my Dad’s account) but we can’t fight, besides of course those true jerks like the one in FAQ.
Why do people keep saying he’s arrested or being sued by Microsoft? Do you know how many games out there are like or nearly identical to Minecraft? Quite a lot. Survivalcraft is actually quite different with most similarities being a block building game. I highly doubt he’s being sued lol. I’d like to believe people are joking about that but sometimes they seem serious so I just thought I’d leave this comment regarding it.
Kaalus is a great guy who works his but off for people who seem to want to flock to Minecraft the minute he goes silent I only wanted him to realize how mean he sounds by posting something like that I mean how would you feel if you worked your but off for 5 years for a bunch of people who seem ungrateful just because we don’t have multiplayer yet….😞

Sorry if I offended anybody, it was not intended as an insult, by any means. I was merely trying to:
a) Provide a list of games I enjoy in case anybody else wants to play them (Of course a list in other context than it was given would directly include Survivalcraft). I hate having to scour the Play Store for good games so I thought I could save some people some time. (If you haven’t already, you can check some of them out, this was the main purpose of the post, after all)
b) Express an opinion. I think it is very likely Kaalus will come back but, no offence intended, there is always a [small] chance he won’t. I also, without contradicting my previous statement, just want to point out that the last silence was two months, this one has been over six already. :-/
c) Make a bit of a joke. Okay, I failed on that front. I admit that joke was absolute rubbish. Very unfunny; not good. :-(
*If this post ends up offending anybody, or is classed as mean to Kaalus by someone then sorry, I really tried hard to avoid anything offensive in this after the precarious position my last post placed me in.

Even if he has left we could always remake it plenty of minecraft modders have the knowledge to do it and add multiplayer.

OK I see where I was offensive towards you and now I kind of regret sending my Post but just to put out there a good idea how about a mobile light source I want just a few of them. First the standard lantern fueled with aneything flammable like coal chunks it produces a lumocity of 8 and is very easy to Craft but will be extinguished if you enter water with it. Next the electric lantern water proof long lasting lumocity of 10 runs on batterys. to refill you just drag fuel (batterys or flammable things for the standard lantern) onto the lantern like you would load a bow next the miners helmet to make it you make an iron helmet and put a light bulb to the right of it on a crafting table file the same way as electric lantern lumocity of 10 and unlike the lantern this you can have out even when there is something in your hand like a pickaxe or other lantern you can’t do this with the lantern because the lantern is an item not clothing like the miners helmet tell me if you like this idea or not I believe that it would revaluationise night time travel making it easier to travle in dark caves and out in dark open areas
I like this idea, I suggested a flashlight one time, but I think this is much better.

Hey guys at least we have some comfort with Kaalus not posting any updates. A developer in charge of the game Cube World, “wolfram” i think it was went silent over two years ago, nothing until a few weeks ago he made a tweet and released updates for the game. Now i am not suggesting Kaalus may take 2 years to come back, he may never come back and we need to just sit back and check our emails for a new post now and again. He has spent many years on this and unfortunately nothing lasts for ever, Kaalus has managed to keep survival craft alive for much longer than many developers could. This website shouldn’t be a boxing match it should be a site to remember the good ol memories we all have of survival craft .
Oh by the way if your wondering who I am? I am a guy who used to post ages ago on here (in the windows phone days) and I cant bare to see this once thriving community at each others throats

Hello! I was recently on a forum dedicated to Minecraft when I came across a certain post discussing how the Mojang team was not working very hard on Minecraft PE. It surprised me that it mentioned SurvivalCraft as a better game than MCPE.
I scrolled down the list of replies and saw this post:

Go search on google “Survival Craft”, check out it’s features, tell me how 1 dev can accomplish all this in such a short amount of time, then talk to me again.
Apparentally, SurvivalCraft is still strong. People still enjoy this game, and we are all hoping for an update.

Kaalus! We are still waiting for your next post. It can be anything from a status update to a really lame pun to just a one word “Hello” post.
I get the feeling that Kaalus is encountering major problems with certain phone companies and he is waiting for an update to those phones so that SurvivalCraft works properly again.
Or maybe he is desperately trying to add multiplayer.
