The port to new engine has been completed for some time now, and I am busy adding features to 1.27.
There’s quite a list of new things, but I really need to go to bed before the sunrise, so for now I’ll only show you this one:
A campfire. Easily crafted and keeps predators away, at least up to a point. Also handy for drying clothes and getting warm in cold climates. Needs a lot of fuel to keep going. Beware of rain, and don’t throw snowballs or gunpowder into it :-)

I have made a mine that you wont survive, if you mine the bottom block of a tree it falls, if you stand on it you will fall, onto a pressure plate. You will die instantly due to explosions

I had found a solution to insane predators in the morning – a simple security system that kills small predators eg lions, wolves, hyenas over night than collect the loots for you. It doesnt use a single electrics fairly cheap to make. Search the forum if you are interested – its on the world file section.
I love this guy! He makes the BEST stuff out there. I still wonder about mods though.

Did anyone notice, for android linex, that animals like lions and birds are turning completely plack and none of the work arounds seem to work
My android 5.0 keeps crashing and I have to wait for my phone to load the game back up I hope this gets patched

Its a good idea but that will just take up extra space in block ids. I think theres only about twenty left now ….. I hope using new engine would help. :(

It’s Also Possible That It’s Not Alpacas But Instead It’s Sheep. And Maybe More Than One Default Texture You Know Bringing Back The Old One And Letting People Choose Between The Two.
Regardless I’m Excited To See That There’s A New Update Coming Only About Four Months After 1.26 If I Remember Correctly There Was More Of A Time Gap Between 1.25 And 1.26. Which Most Likely Means New Additions To The Game Can Be Made With This Engine Much Faster Than With XNA. Awesome Job Kaalus Can’t Wait To Find Out What Else You Have Made For The Update.
P.S. Let’s Hope No Werewolves Is One Of Them Anything More Than That Is Icing On The Cake.

Kaalus could you make it so you can sleep without a shelter? Since we have cold now that’ll still make you want to build a shelter but if you’re on a journey you could just sleep near the camp fire to keep animals away. However, if you do this make it so rain wakes you up, so the purposes of having a shelter won’t be ignored. Plus, this will remove the needs for tents
you may still need a tent if you want to sleep on a journey and not wakeup from the rain

I heard That Windows 10 Is going to make every new Microsoft product link to one marketplace so whenever Kaalus updates to Windows 10 Survivalcraft will be on the Xbox One

I have a theory guys for what he’s adding!
Since he has campfires he might be adding tents made of canvas. But tents have the same sleeping mechanics as a bed most likely so maybe beds. Also, look at his shirt it is a new one, so it’s probably wool from a alpaca. Which would explain why this post is taking longer to come, because he’s making a shearing video. Which would in turn be used to make beds. It all makes a circle guys! He never added shearing or beds because the old engine didn’t allow him to code that in the game. Therefore he made his own engine, so I’d expect breeding, taming, or NPCs soon guys. One will be the “big mechanic” for this update.

Peoples theories rarely are true, just because he has a camp fire doesn’t mean he will add tents. But, make theories of it makes you happy, just don’t get your hopes up.
I doubt he went through all that trouble for alpaca especially when you already have cotton. My guess its because of a bit more techy stuffs – like block id. (We are running low…. Ithink theres about twenty left) or 32 bit blocks or terrain generation.
