I know many of iOS users are complaining about the clothes durability. This is a balancing issue that has been since fixed on all other platforms. Unfortunately, Apple review process is very slow these days, and I did not manage to sneak in a fix before Christmas.
Please rest assured that the update fixing the issue has been submitted to Apple for review and is sitting somewhere in their queue, there’s nothing we can do to speed it up.
In the meantime you can use creative mode “cheat” to give yourselves a bunch of clothes to survive during this difficult Christmas :-)

I have a very good survival world. also it is in cruel mode……. cloths wear out so fast…..
I’m fine with it though I’m making a castle in the wetlands so I don’t mind it much
I have a tree house….. have a couple watch towers too. And i have a huge barn. There is also caves underneath by house…. Life is good. I have a problem with wolfs spawning…. They are always around my barns and are trying to kill the horses and camels.There are at least 15 of them! So tiring to kill all of them. SOLUTION: a build a tunnel to the barn…. I thought that was fixed in the update.

The taiga biome’s cold temperatures/freezing cold water, polar bears, wolves, tigers, and a rare chance of baracudas and sharks hiding under the ice on the shore. Its the hardest place to survive. :-P
One time I seen a flooded cave and there was a bunch of sharks in it but it was completely closed off

I noticed that in 1.25, it took 3 pumpkins to completely nourish the player. In 1.26 (once iOS finally got it), it took 5 pumpkins to completely nourish the player. Was this to balance out the fact that you could now farm pumpkins?

One tiny thing: I always get cold feet because there are no FUR boots, only leather shoes :( Seems odd, as you can make fur clothing for all other body parts.

Seems that most things that I’d expect to generate heat don’t. Lava poured into a stone basin sometimes does, but a 1×1 square did not keep me from freezing even when standing right next to it, while a natural pool a few squares further heats me up quite nicely. Torches do not generate ANY heat, nor do wicker lamps. Haven’t exerimented a lot with fires as they are ususally not too safe (and if you’re on fire, even diving under water doesn’t help.
So, is there a safe-ish and feasible way to generate some instant heat while on the go?

Personally this update was a little disapponiting on the animal side……. Of course it was a big and awesome update, with clothing and aggression and beluga etc.
But i’ve been looking forward to animals too when kaalus said he was adding “bunch of new animals” in a post……but there was only three. :(
I hope there will be search bar in community content in 1.27(its so hard to find some nice world or getting your world noticed by others with those spamming clans)

I agree regarding the animals. Only 3 was kind of disappointed with one only found in the ocean and not having a spawner egg for it. But i like the new animals, more water orientated for the most part which is my opinion is the one lacking with air animals compared to land animals. I think the bodies of the birds can be improved on and make them most realistic as well as added terror birds of flight like vultures, condors, etc and make a hostile animals. Maybe even add bats. Insects should also be expanded on with adding maybe spiders, mosquitoes etc. The latter one could bring a host of problems including diseases like malaria which would be a awesome addition making survival more deadly and realistic
Kaalus, what are the requirements for farming pumpkins? I know that for rye and cotton, tilled, wet soil sprinkled with saltpeter is needed, but I don’t know the requirements for pumpkins.
its the same thing, at least for me. make sure your using seeds and not normal pumpkins.
For me it works even on grass it’s just that on tilled, moist, and fertilized soil it grows best

Sorry to bug you Kaalus but i love horses and i like to have horses on survivalcraft. I think that it would be neat to add tack such as blankets, harnesses, and other things for the horses. OH stop it…… Kaalus has done so much more as one person than all of MOJANG……. All their updates are for BUGFIXES….. That was what 10.0 was for right???? Then 10.3 came out for more bugfixes……. Then 10.4 came out with even more bugfixes……. WOW sounds like Mojang did a nice job with that Update. The only thing the makes Minecraft good is the people who make Mods….. They make Minecraft fun. Hey Kaalus. I noticed a bug in IOS. When I light an explosive, it explodes, but as I see from far the explosives are still there. When I get closer then I see the damage done. Is everyone experiencing this problem? Plz fix this bug, thx.

I’m playing on a windows 7 phone, leather clothing in cruel mode lasts 3-4 days. That is absurdly short. I would pick 20 days as more realistic.
I think even partly clothed should contribute to warm (generally a warm jersey and coat can partly make up for mostly bare legs; I propose that all for parts clothed, each part works at 100%, 3 parts, each at 75%, 2 parts 50%, 1 item 25%.
Also carnivores are hunting everything they see, should only hunt when hungry, currently mostly clearing out food animals before I get a chance.
Gnus seem to always retaliate when provoked. Is it just me? Or is it a bug?

Wired how all the ice froze the ocean over. I first thought it was annoying but made use out of it. The ice freezing over thing happened in another world I was working on in creative and it froze over ruining it all. Nice work on your map!
I understand that -.- my first real world I took time on got ruined when ice covered the nice hill I found overlooking a bay and before I knew it the bay was frozen over. And yup, I took advantage by building houses on it. A reason I never go to normal terrains because the biomes aren’t that great truthfully. Ice next to desert? How’s does that make any sense. I normally go full tropical or full frozen when I want specific worlds.

I always thought that Multiplayer would be a good thing to add (see last post for my idea). But Kaalus, if you don’t feel like adding multiplayer for 1.27, NPCs would also be cool. It wouldn’t require any devices connecting to each other, and the NPCs could use the same model as the player. You would be able to trade with them. And if you wanted to make them really cool, you’d be able to hire them and pay them, marry them, have babies, which would grow up into adults. Of course, if you wanted to you could just add multiplayer.

Hey Kaalus, please take a look at this…
1. Go to a creative world.
2. While in that world, open up block menu, the 4 square icon (under man icon)
3. Select any block, in this case just use the first use dirt block (works on every block)
4. Now hold and drag the selected block off the menu, more or less over the world
5. Continue to hold block while now tapping a action button..in this case tap the up or down on the block pages menu..
6. The block will now appear where and what button you tap on and remain the until you throw it off the screen or tap it on the hotbar etc.
.. I hope this all makes sense

There was a weird glitch in my challenging world mode. I was doing something on a lake and broke a block and fell in the water, so I wanted to get it, and when I jumped to dive in the water I suddenly found myself walking on the water. I felt like Jesus for a moment. It’s the first time that this weird glitch has ever happened to me.. Just wanted to share this awkward experience. X)

Hey guys update, 1.26.9 is availible for iOS.
Yes, I found that I takes longer.. minuets/hours or so if you just let iOS apps automatically notify you for updates..
..but if you go to your App Store and refresh your updates, you will get to your app updates much faster.. More like on your whim rather then theirs..

Kaalus could you please add dragons in the game, I know a lot of players would love to fly on dragons. They could have saddles and come in all different colors and they could each look different.
This game is about realism.
That is why SC was created for realism!

Kaalus why cant i place the bedrock? I tried to build a house with bedrock but when i tapped the other blocks with the bedrock in my hand, nothing happened :(

First the texture was great! Best one i’ve seen in a long time….. The music was really good, but once I was about 10min in to the game, I quit because the music got so annoying! First map i’ve seen with music and I love it! The game worked pretty well, if the hyena got inside all you had to do was step back and he wouldn’t kill you. The tiger and the lion are a different story. They worked out well. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK DAVID!!! :)

I got a bug for IOS yes my name on my worlds are turning unknown and that in one of my worlds with the missing name the metal fences are invisible. The metal fences that aren’t invisible but connected to an invisible metal fences are like turned into long never ending thick gray/green strings.
I sometimes gets the unknown world problem too. It gets fixed when i just play the world
It happens to me too sometimes….. It would only happen when iI would be playing a big world and it would crash… Then when I went back to the game it said world unknown. Then i hit play and everything was fine. except that all the sighs were messed up. Hasn’t happened in while for me!

I’ve searched online and it seems i reached the geometry limit, with some users posting on the forums a reply Kaalus made to a user saying that one day it might be fixed.
With the 256 far distance addition last update with the inclusion of much more powerful phones including 64 bit support like Apples A7/8 chips and upcoming Snapdragons 808-810 could this be fixed soon or in the upcoming update? I can not stop construction of my Palace and what i’ve seen, other people have also experienced this glitch and its very bothersome :(.
User TA1ton has a nice idea of putting a button int he compatibility section of the app to increase the limits.
I have no idea if this is possible so pardon me if i lack any knowledge in this but some work around effect that’ll fix it as well as prevent lower spec devices from suffering greatly would be a incredible feature. I’m curious to know if Invisible models workaround has anything to do with this geometry limit and if turning it on will have any effect?

Wait…… I understand now….This has happened it a world I was building. kaalus should fix it. I can’t seem to remember how i fixed it. Wow that is going to be hard to fix. So forgive me for sounding stupid. gaming and coding is something that I really don’t like. It is so complicated. Kaalus keep going!
I was playing MC yesterday on a Lifeboat server. It was going so well Right? WRONG There was a person had run mods flying mods armor mods! I had pretty good armor and a iron sword, So I went after him. He had nothing in his hands and he punched me and I died. I was mad. Played again, he was there killed everyone. I was really ticked off. Next thing you know he is back in the lobby Swearing the crap out of the chat. I was done with Minecraft. Hackers make the game crap!!!
So this is my point. I have a Xbox 360 which i use for a DVD player, Games are to expensive. most apps are crap. Hackers ruin One of 2 games I play. SC is the last man standing. I”m Home-schooled. Most of the kids in my neighborhood are video game geeks. I am an outdoor person. Little kids (like 7 years olds) in my neighborhood have phones. I don’t. I couldn’t give a duckfart about a phone. Kaalus and davidthegamefreak are people meant to do coding.
Video games are taking most of the kids i know by storm. One of my very good friends stop hanging out with me because of video games. Don’t tell me it’s not because What the most popular topic on youtube? GAMING!!!
I don’t what to offend anyone who does this for a living or a hobby. I just think it is sad that People would rather play video games than be with their friends.

That’s true because I lost some friends because they chose video games over going outside with me. They said I shouldn’t be friend then.
My problem with MCPE is LAG (I play on iPod 4). SC has way, way more features than MCPE and lags way, way less. Whenever I am on lifeboat it just glitches off. So much for MCPE multiplayer!

Special packs that hold things and can be put on horses which follow you on long trips (with the help of a whistle) would sure be handy in 1.27. Crafting: Chest-Saddle-Chest
These are some things that must be added for survivalcraft!!!
1. A search bar for community content, so its easier to find things.
2. A chromatic memory bank, so it is easier to make music, you can have a staff, rests eigth notes, and more.
3. A mobile skin/blocks texture designer. Using PDF or PNG files.
4. Community world share. What I mean is that there is a multiplayer, but you can only get the world by email.
5. Allowing us to be able to save worlds and stuff to Google drive, not just dropbox.
6. Mass edit, kinda like minecrafts MC edit, but you can do it in survivalcraft, it can be its own game mode called “Mass editor”.

Kaalus, do animals spawn on edited land(chunk with modified block)?
Hi, I was thinking something similar like this the other day…Kaalus, maybe in creative mode, where we spawn animals maybe in-game they will spawn only there.. Therefore worlds can spawn specific animals in specific areas I.e lions on the flat lands, Tigers in the jungles etc.
I didnt mean it that way but good idea.

Our next update should have dragons that we can tame to ride and help protect us. This would be really good for castles or medievil worlds. I also want there to be tameable dogs that protects us and stays by our side unless we tell them to sit or lay.

3)this is my personal thought but dragons are already in block story right? So if we add dragons some will say sc is copying minecraft AND block story.

Yeah if you can find them. :( The only thing that i can kill for food is rhinos and birds. Everything dies during the night. the animals killing each other is cool though. It is funny when a werewolf tries to catch a bird. it jumps and jumps and never gets it. Then tigers and rhinos they keep trying to kill each other. Good thing though because I was fighting rhino and the tiger came trying to kill it. Good idea. :)

Yeah rockstars worlds are awesome. I cant play it because its too big for my divice to handle but i have seen the images. And he said it took more than 50 techies to make mystic springs. Quite a project :D

Ok so far I’m loving the new update, but I have came across one small bug. It seems that when ever I’m flying and I want to through something directly down it hits me in the back of the head! It’s not a bug you are actually hitting your feet, so you can’t see them but you can hit them. Or even if it is your head pretend it’s your feet

OK so I came on here for the first time In like a month and I see absolutely nothing has changed … sigh I remember when kaalus gave us an update every couple of days and he posted every day or two. Kinda sad. I’ve been playing this game for more than a year now and I’ve watched kaalus progressively become less and less active on this site and less interested with the game :-(

Kaalus, i created a random world and there was a dirt oak tree with a normal birch tree right beside it. So i figured out the worlds seed and made another world with it. The oak had turned to normal and shape of it was exactly the same but the birch was gone. I tried a few more times and the result was the same. Could this be a clue?
Also every plants except pumpkin and saplings can be planted on sand. I already posted this on the forum but its nit getting much attention even though its a quite serious bug :(

You must not know much about coding . You can’t just make everything you want in a game and half it all running together. There will always be problems . Everything has to be polished up. Adding multiplayer just means adding servers and all kinds of more code . Time consuming. And yes kaalus has money. 30% aint squat if he is making it from a bunch of platforms.
I don’t know anything about coding just except it is really hard.
I think it would be cool if Kaalus delved more into the randomly generated structures. Maybe abandoned houses, mines, abandoned villages and maybe even ruins of buildings. That would be awesome!

Kaalus has the money to get better stuff in the game antways. Plus, Kaalus is never silent this long he is probably working on a big feature but he wants to make sure it works before he tells us about it, so we don’t get our hopes up for nothing.

Fanboys are on both sides, some like me love both games and occasionally play both games enjoying the advantages and disadvantages that both game have but some on both sides hate the other and complain and troll. It always happens with competition, just look at the crazy Fandroids or iSheep as one side calls to the other in the iOS v Android ‘war’.

Here’s what I think is going on everyone. 1.26 was one of the hardest updates for Kaalus yet, and he released it around Christmas, so he took office for Christmas, and New Years. And he probably took an extended vacation. I figure that now he is either working on something extremely difficult on SC like maybe NPCs or tweaking the terrain generation to add new biomes so to speak. He may be adding more weather effects, or I have one more idea on the long gap in posts, what if Kaalus is creating a second game, maybe a supernatural version of SC? You never know.

You can’t really get mad at him saying those really it matters how Kaalus would make them. But hose are mostly considered biomes in real life so it’s not copying minecraft. Kaalus would have to be careful of how he does the stuff though. Also, we have jungles and savannah already.
Sorry to burst your bubbles but i dont think theres going to be more biomes unless kaalus changes the terrain generator system….. Dont get me wrong, if theres one thing i want from mc, its biomes :(

I have a list of suggestions: inward stairs, multiplayer, barley crops, brewing machine, ale, cow drops beef not bacon, camels drop meat and horses do ( btw horses are edible), you can find sticks on the ground in forests and leafs fall from trees, breeding, animals don’t despawn, battle axes, wild ox and pine trees. :-)

Hey,I am that same guy who talked about the backpacks.This is what I meant.You could craft them with leather.You could keep it in your hotbar or inventory.If you douple tapped it you open up an extra inventory to keep your things in.

I remember way back when we used to get a new update for the game every month or so. Now, we are getting a new POST every month or so. I really just wish Kaalus would post something, anything really. If he doesn’t post in the next month, I will assume that he has given up on SC and isn’t going to do any more updates.
Closing is very difficult and can be stressful. Give kaalus a break. He put a lot of work into 1.26 and he probably has a family, so he’s probably spending time with them. All of this complaining will only discourage him.

Kaalus, I have an idea that i think would be very interesting! I am a horse lover so i think that in the spare time that you have when you are adding different things to the game, i think that you could make horse tack. The tack can be removed and placed on a horse. Tack could include halters, saddles, saddle pads, lead rope, etc. Maybe the tack could be dyed as well. Please consider my idea! I hope you like it. Way too long. But let’s just wait.
Id wait for 6 months if it meant multiplayer :D. I guess he is working on 32-bit blocks and something else :D I only ask for Gold and Gold ores to be implemented. In terms of weapons, it can be a step up from Iron and a step down from Diamond :) another fantastic idea would be to be able to build huge ships, or probably something more realistic like a sailboat. MCPE and MC will be crushed then :D

And if you read that Kaalus, I want to tell you that what would really be a big hit for popularity would be multiplayer. I showed (and didn’t distribute) the game to my friends, they liked, but they prefered Minecraft just because of multiplayer. I understant it’s hard for you to program it, but it would be worth it, because people would buy the game to play with their friends. I really love that game, and i would like it to become more popular:)

Hey everyone, trust kaalus, he’ll be back. Someone commented on one of his posts that they wouldn’t blame kaalus if he took a six months break from the game. Codings stressful at times. He could shave gotten sick, there may brave been a death in the family, or he may just be taking a well deserved rest. Or he could be working on an awesome addition to the game. Be patient.
I bet Kaalus took a long break to get away from all the butt hurt 8 year olds who demand a new update with helicopters and missile launchers.

Kaalus I know you are a very intelligent man (proof is a lot of cool science features in the game and the game itself) so you probably know diamonds are very fragile and have cleavage, so would you consider adding titanium to SurvivalCraft? It’s light, strong, and a natural element. Also, this would be adding a cool new ore to SurvivalCraft, and it would add a possibility for a stronger boat. I see you probably just went with the diamond idea because well it’s a universal ore in block games know for being “the best” but I’m not sure if this conclusion of mine is correct. I know diamonds are used for cutting tools and in mining, but from what I’ve seen it’s mostly been machinery doing the work. Such as diamond cutting wire (limestone and granite mines) and diamond drills. So I just think titanium would be the better material for tools in this game considering it’s not machines, but Kaalus please correct me if I’m wrong with what I’m saying. I will not take a reply offensive no matter how wrong I might be. I will also send this to your e-mail.

It is a very good idea but he said earlier when he was adding diamond that he didn’t want to add titanium because it was too “techy” and looked too similar to iron. There are a lot of silver-grey coloured metals :-( He might have changed his mind though since the following quote is from mid 2012. Sorry if you find this offensive, it wasn’t meant to be and I would also like to see titanium in the game, whether it looked like iron or not. The game I am currently making has about five silver-coloured ores which would be confusing if you could actually mine them yet :-(

Yes it is toxic but is is toxic to the touch? I read it was medium toxic so like a marker basically. I think it would be great to add because it has a cool name and it fits what we need. Luckily Kaalus at least didn’t deny Terbium yet, but I didn’t get an e-mail confirming it either, so right now we wait. Most likely I think he won’t add it. It is mostly used for lights and stuff, but if you were stranded id use whatever to make tools if they worked well.
The reason I think terbium being toxic shouldn’t matter is because almost all elements are toxic including copper (which is in the game) but I figured you wouldn’t believe that so I’m using what I know and what I looked up to prove that “Copper is essential in all plants and animals. Excess copper is, however, toxic.” My knowledge for knowing it’s toxic is a while back we used to make copper refrigerators but we quit because it started poisoning people. So, I think terbium should still be added it’s only moderately toxic anyways. Some say it is irritating to the skin some say it’s not even toxic. Btw, I know I sound rude, but I’m just using what I know to see if I can convince you terbium is good. Because I can convince you I might be able to do the same for Kaalus.
Yeah, terbium would probably be quite good, but I think rutile looks much more promising.
Kaalus ok I did some research and a mineral titanium is found in is “Rutile” it is a red, orange, or yellow mineral, so you could add titanium in the game just make the ore red or orange! You would have to smelt it like iron though and it can be a tad bit darker than iron. So if the similar looks is the problem then that is a solution for it.

I feel that Kaalus should add people spawners. its not quiet multiplayer but, it will make sc less lonely. and we should add animals like snakes, rabbits, squirrels, turtles, bisons, okapis, etc. I also feel we should add more foods like apple, berries, cakes, pies, cookies carrots, sugar cane, etc. Kaalus, please consider adding these to some of the updates like 1.27 or something and i really hope in the near future, you can add multiplayer. :) I love your game, a lot!!!!! <3

Dear Kaalus,
Kaalus I have an idea for a new metal called carbon steel. It would be made by smelting iron and coal in the furnace side by side. It would be stronger than iron and diamond but darker than iron.
Carbon steel is slightly worrying on the “too techy” side of things, why not rutile?
Kaalus was already of thinking about steel he was just going about it the wrong way, to make stainless steel which made one material useless so he didn’t try anymore. However, carbon steel doesn’t have that problem. Also, too techy isn’t a problem for a game with iron anyways. Plus, there is light bulbs and motion sensors.
But nobody will use iron and diamond then. Who would make diamond tools when you can make stronger ones with less effort? I personally think carbon steel would be too easy to get compared to its usefulness and unbalence things. Why not just use diamond tools? I think its good enough.
What i would like to see is some gold for advanced electrics. Gold wire maybe?
Well wood is very easy to get and nobody uses it so what if it makes it useless? Kaalus knows diamond tools isn’t a working thing in real life and he has said he was going to try to add more ores. However, I can see where you are coming at but really that’s just the way it’ll be then we have steel in real life however we use titanium for stronger stuf, and it’s just as easy to get. I think of it as a variation of a tool. Also, I think he is fine with the electrics really gold is really just better than copper because 1. It conducts better and 2. It doesn’t wear down however neither are a problem in SurvivalCraft. But, he could use gold in recipes for electrics.
Hope Kaalus posts something this month….because a lot of people are getting worried. Though the answering back on emails might or hopefully be a sign of him posting soon.
