Here’s how it looks like at the moment:
I know it looks spartan, with just boxer shorts and no other clothes. But there is a good reason for that – it’s the new major feature coming in 1.26. Because of it, the player will not look like that when he disembarks the intro ship, despite having a half-nude skin texture. The new feature will also hopefully make survival mechanics a little more complex.
With this monster hint I am sure you will easily figure out what the said feature is :-)
The default skin is still in work in progress and I may change it a little.

The extreme survival will probably be cold, poison, and illness. Look at his blog. And survivalcraft PC is already made, I think.
Kaalus uses his PC to program SC and add updates and what not but there is currently no version of SC for commercial use afaik
If your waiting for that, you might want to check back in about 3-4 yrs from now…if it will even be released for computers. Point is, dont count on it for quite a while.
Use bluestacks app player. It plays sc smooth on pc.

I highly doubt you will ever see a PC release. But I do recommend for PC play an android emulator like Blue Stacks. I think that is the name. Its free and open source. And you can play SC on it. I only tried the free version of SC, but it seemed to function perfectly well. It ported nicely to a desktop environment.

There’s an estimated 80% chance of alpacas dropping wool, used for clothes. I read an old post, he planned to make sickness when eating raw food, cold, and poison. I think this is what he’s doing also, because new survival mechanics.

My brother, who usually doesn’t play, is going to play. I’m stocking up on leather. And who knows, maybe there’s armor too. So I’m also stocking up on iron. Wool would be great for cold areas, and maybe you could take off clothes, like in deserts so you don’t get heat exhaustion. :-) :-) :-) :-)… Is how I feel. I feel faint.

It would feel good to explore those caves a little more well-protected, and is great fun to obtain, just like an RPG, I like a good armor, just a sword is half work in an RPG. (Even though, this isn’t an RPG.)

Kaaulus, I noticed in the picture that the water looks different. Are you going to change water graphics too?
Water already was changed along with every other block texture. The animation is more smooth and flows nicer :)

Well like most of the comments, I too am assuming amour/clothing. Which is awesome. I look forward to seeing how it will be integrated into the game. I have suspected for a while we might need a secondary crafting table, like a loom. We have basic elements like leather and string, so we are not far off. Maybe a growable resource like cotton and maybe needles. And I agree with a previous comment, that weather should now effect health. And of course for protection from attacks. Anyway a very exciting update seems to be coming.
On a secondary note. I have always been a big supporter of you having the freedom to advance the game at your own pace. But I do urge you to maybe make more frequent posts here, even if it is only to say hi. Even I got nervous with the lack of info the past couple of months, and I’m the number one person on these comments telling people to give you time and space. But this latest drought of info was pretty impressive. I’m not saying give us constant updates to the software. Just keep us in the loop a little better with posts here.

So my guess is that there will be clothing? And the environment, will tear your clothes? I am guessing the system will be like this : Intro = Normal Clothes > 2 – 3 Days Pass, clothes start tearing up > 4 – 5 Days, the clothes are ripping apart > 6 – 7 days, you will be left naked, so i am guessing the clothes tear up every time you sleep for a day or two, for the skin to take in the changes to the skin that is normally impossible to take the necessary changes while you are moving, or maybe the weather will start to affect you as well? Well that is MY theory though.
Also, here is what i think the recipes could be :
Crafting Table :
Linen / Cloth / Fabric= 6 Strings
Linen / Cloth / Fabric Shirt = 5 Cloth
Leather Shirt = 5 Leather
Colored Shirt = 5 Dyed Cloth (Same Color)
Dye Water = 1 Flower / Cactus (Any), 1 Bucket of Water. Yields a bucket with the plant color
Furnace :
Dyed Cloth = 1 Dye Water (On the bucket section), 1 Cloth
Why? Because to make it, you need to simmer The natural dye with the cloth to make it dyed.
Interesting. Very doubtful but interesting. Your idea has merit, but is way overly complex. I am sure that clothing and armor will be based on a simple hit point system that is reduced with what they are subjected to. Time would really not need to be a factor. Plus the large amount of graphics to display deterioration would just simply be overkill and needless overhead. The underwear only default is simply a starting point. I suppose you could go with a shirtless with jeans avatar for that rugged look, or a t-shirt and no pants for that creepy uncle look. This is simply an extension of the skins feature from the last update. The difference is that it will effect your length of survival based on what you are wearing. On a side note, I am curious how custom skins wiill be effected by the use of clothing. It’ll be interesting to see how it works out.

If you sleep, animation is needless, although i get your point, and i too, am curious on what will happen with custom skins, thankfully, there is no ‘Comment Wars’ This time around, hoping to not start a riot.

I hope there are leather sashes, vests, caps, boots, and pants. Then wool coat, toboggan, and skirt. After that iron breastplate, iron helm, including visor, chamomile, iron boots. Then leaf skirt, and shirt.

This does present another issue. Clothing can often be gender specific. Kaalus may need to add a male/female setting and an additional girl default skin..I am not going to get into the politics. My position is do what ever the heck makes you happy. But there might be some people who might take issue with dressing thier default male avatar in a bikini or cute dress. It would be hilarious, but maybe offensive to some people.. This update does surprisingly open up a little can of worms politically. I am sure there are plenty of girl Survival Crafters who would prefer a female avatar.

This is awesome! I have only one request, could you fix the slabs and sorta make them how MC slabs are? Like where you can stack them as a reg block? Also please add more food and either a bed or a leather block? Still I think this update will top every update of SC, keep up the awesome work for 1.26! I know I will be happy with this update, where the last update I wasn’t that much happy, but I did like the skins and cobble fences! One more request: I really want to edit more than the block/items texture, is there anyway you could let us edit the sky and environment textures & also the animal textures? Sorry for requesting so much but this is the last one for now: PLEASE LET US TAME AND NAME THE ANIMALS! (Ha, that ryhmed) and add more blocks/wood types w/ new wood planks for the new trees, ugh one more request: please add new/more biomes. we don’t need beds, because we can sleep in any place with a roof. Look at the FAQ. But because it’s a little bit hard where you would sleep, then add beds, though. Leather block is impossible, you cannot make it like malachite.
How the hell is a leather block impossible? It’s basically a wool block but instead of adding another useless animal, you have a use for the leather, and they could keep the way you sleep in the game but add a bed as well? I don’t know, you sounded ridiculous when you typed “leather block is impossible” like malachite would have zero to do with the leather block, the crafting would be “8 leather= one leather block and you would be able to dye it, well paint it (dye=paint in sc) I say it’s an excellent idea for a new block and of course a use for leather, now tell me how the leather block is impossible and how malachite had anything to do with it?
Well, if I may interrupt, I think he was meaning something like how there are solid ore blocks, like malachite, diamond, iron, etc, and how that can be compared to a solid leather block. Personally, I think that solid leather blocks would be a little, weird, because you would make one and think, “Look! It’s a one cubic meter slab of dead animal skin! WOOHOO!” Honestly, I don’t think a leather block would work, but maybe something along the lines of a leather mat would be better. It would sorta be like a sleeping bag. Plus, it still goes with the survival theme, without copying MC.
Actually I just really want a leather block for building, so I can make my beds look nicer and so I can actually sleep in them instead of sleeping on a piece of wood, but a sleeping bag would be sorta better I suppose, also Kaalus should add backpacks maybe?

I also have a feature request about the fact that there is slight cheating in survival (its not as sinister as it sounds lol). Whenever you don’t have an axe to break wood or a pick to break basalt and you just want to do things the fast way you can place a block or a torch on stairs brick and it will instantly break if the stairs is joined to a wall or just if you do it at the right angle whereas it would take quite some time with just your hands and I do this a lot even when I have the required tools (97% of the time)
Or you can just change the game mode to creative, give yourself what you need and change it back to survival =/ this takes all the fun out of it though

I was thinking, in order to make this clothing, you could introduce a new tool and/or item. A needle and thread! Unless of course you’ve already thought of something. If not, i think they could be made something like this:
1 iron rod = 1 needle.
4 string making a box in the crafting table = 4 thread.
Every time you make clothing, you must use the needle and 1 piece of thread. The needle would need durability and because its made of iron it could just have the same as other iron items. I guess the only problem with this though is….there would probably b no place to put it :P, unless you make a section of the crafting table for tools

Kaalus is messing up?!?! Perhaps you’d like him to just stop making the game all together! Kaalus, I’m sure, has a list of features he’d like to complete in order. Multiplayer is obviously not near the top of the list, and i don’t think i should be. The people dropping the game clearly don’t appreciate the work Kaalus has put into his game for a few years now. Yes, clothing is a big step towards multiplayer, but i think there is still a lot that needs to be added to the game before multiplayer, such as:
-More foods for growing like corn, pumpkins, apples/peaches
-Few more new blocks like concrete perhaps, or silver/gold
-maybe a little bit more random generation of places/ruins/structures/etc?
-Few more new tools like a fishing rod, i was thinking about a bear trap :)
-More smaller animals like rabbits, squirrels, raccoons
-Couple new items like a stone door(its possible), new storage item/block?
-More weapons like a knife or darts
If at least half of what i wrote was added, then i think that would be pretty good to add multiplayer.

You need to log in to drop box have your friend log into the same drop box go to world setting click upload to drop box and then it should be in private.

It’d be nice, if you had to have warmer clothing made out of cloth or leather for colder climates, any type of clothing for temporal areas and less clothes or maybe silk clothing for hotter environments and deserts, that would make a great one up over Minecraft.

There would need to be a reason for it to rain acid, but I do like the other two ideas, except before adding tornadoes I think some days in SC it should be windy and wind can push you slowly in the direction it blows.
You know you should probably learn the meaning of the word major. Obviously this is clothing your adding, and yes it would be difficult to set up the armour system, but still, it’s not that big of a difference. I would suggest stockpiling a huge update, one called Survival Craft two point 0, featuring all or many of the most suggested topics including multiplayer, preferably community servers and LAN, but most likely just the latter, generated structures, like ancient ruins left on the island from an old civilization with some sort of boss mob at the end, (the game is a easy and this would add a bit more challenge, and storyline to it.) These are, but a few of the commonly suggested items, or at least ones that I want.
Why do you think insulting him will make him want to listen to you? Next time your mom goes to Wal-Mart get bigger panties cause the ones you have now are too little, and also get a book cause that post had so many grammar problems. :)

Ok, wow, you really did just insult Kaalus. Perhaps you should learn the meaning of the word “major”. Clothing is a MAJOR update, especially if Kaalus has been working on it so long. It probably took a MAJOR amount of coding as well.
Now, you think we should add everything that was suggested on the forums, or at least the bigger ones all at once in a single update? That’s a terrible idea. People don’t want to be sitting around for a year waiting for Kaalus to code all the major things that have been suggested. That would probably lose Kaalus money too. Well, until the update. But if he did what you want him to do, it would take a very long time and people would not want to play SC anymore. Releasing updates every now and then keeps people hooked to the game knowing that it does update often.
If you read the entire comment, you would see that I do realize that adding an armour system would prove to be a challenging task, especially with only a few number of people working on the game. I also realize complying a large list of popular suggestions from the forum and implanting them all into one update would be time consuming, expensive, and probably not worth the trouble. I am glad he is adding armour, I do enjoy the mechanic and it would be a complex system to add. Once again if you read the entire comment you would realize I was merely upset that multiplayer (and other ideas that I enjoyed) had not been added. I have had Survival Craft for about 1 year now and I always wanted to be able to play the game with my siblings, so I wrote the message quickly and in a fury. My mood upon writing the message would explain my crude behavior, and grammatical errors, which I am sorry for. As for the “insult” at the beginning it acted more as an attention getter, which, do the fact that you actually looked at the comment, was quite effective. I am sorry for any sociological issues that may have been caused henceforth from reading the comment, I meant nothing personal by it. So please be understand that I was trying to be as polite as possible in my anger, and it would be most appreciated if you could respond with as much decency. Harold, to answer your question, yes I would wait until next fall for an update, I am patient. The problem being with this plan is Kaaulus would probably run out of money before releasing it. Also, you tell me to commit suicide just because I share my displeasure with an update, did you consider your the aggressor here? It is merely my opinion, I can respect your opinion. You enjoy the update, and I am not going to angry at you for that, the least you could do show a little decency, and do the same.

Kaaulus, you really needto post! I noticed nobody’s been commenting. Oh, yeah. School started. I’m homeschooled so it doesn’t really matter. Even if the school year is the cause of the lack of posts, can you just tell us about the bunch of smaller features? I’m actually more excited about you posting about the smaller features, since their probably animals or modifications. Can you make placable ropes for explosion fuses? Blast mining is hard if not impossible to get out alive in challenging.

Copper and geranium are expensive, and when you detonate the charges it all is lost. Did that help? :-)

Can somebody make me a security guard (for prisons) skin and a texture pack that is similar to the don’t starve texture pack, but have the cell door and the metal fence look like prison cell doors and prison gates (if that makes any sense). I was extremely happy to choose Windows Phone over Android and iOS, but needed something as a replacement for MC: Pocket Edition, and voila, SurvivalCraft. Played the demo, was impressed, and bought my first ever game on a smartphone. No regrets.

kaalus can u please add arrow shoot through animals cause that arrow/bolt keep shooting back at me and boy i got pissed because i lost my steel about 53 of them i hate to go back to creative mode cause im trying to survive without going to creative so please make it shoot through or stick.but lions and regular tirgers dont live in snow make them live in hot or warm

IS SURVIVALCRAFT… DEAD?
Well, I think the title sums it up pretty well. Is Survivalcraft dead? Honestly, if I had to bet money on it, I would say, “Yes,” or, “Soon it will be.” Why? Well, there are many reasons.
The first one is pretty obvious. MCPE 0.9.0. SOOOOOO many SC’ers left because of it.
​Another reason: Kaalus’s recent inactivity. I remember a long time ago, he said that SC was his hobby, and when he said he was buying a house, I think that our good old friend life stepped in and occupied him with more important things than SC, and his hobby was pushed far down on his list of priorities, possibly causing him to completely stop work on the game, which is a shame because I think in SC’s hayday back in 1.22-1.23, he was bringing in a ton of money from the game.
There is even more evidence, with the forum’s recent decline in activity, MCPE speeding far ahead of SC, and the fact the the quality of the forum is declining.
I sincerely hope SC isn’t dead, but I fear it is too late to save it unless a miracle happens. I would like to hear what you guys have to think about this, and would also like you all to get into contact with Kaalus and our former SC players, and tell them to come back and give SC a chance. Thank you.

Holy cow! (No pun intended) We nearly posted at the same time. LOL
But it would take MORE than one person to save SC. It would take many people to save it. Because if you’ve already bought the app, then there will be no one else to buy the app, along with the fact that there is only one person playing the app and enjoying it, then what’s the point of leaving the app up? It will take all of us working together to save SC, along with Kaalus assembling a team to work on it.
Diamondhorse, I agree. Survivalcraft is already neck and neck to minecraft. In fact I think minecraft pe may be better than PC. Too many buttons.

I have reevaluated this post, and I have come to the conclusion that SC is not dead… yet. Although the only thing that I think can save SC is if Kaalus assembles a team, or a miracle happens, since Kaalus by himself can’t hope to match/exceed Mojang.
I have tried MCPE and I still find it to be extremely boring compared to SC
I still play it. So it’s not dead. Dead is when no one plays it. What you don’t realize is that in other countries it’s quite popular.
Places in or near Europe. It’s just dead for anyone who speaks english.
Plus if kaalus has kids they probably play SC and there friends.
But really this “Survivalcraft is dead” thing is getting old and it’s really stupid. Just because less people play it, doesn’t mean it’s dead. It’s annoying and people need to stop whining about it. He won’t stop just because people left. He’ll make it better and more people will come. Have a little faith
Ok armor a high probably of being so. What if he is adding clothing instead that gives different stats. Like say a tuxedo slows movement speed but gives u falling resistance. (Just an idea) or even colored shirts etc..

Ok, here’s what I think. Minecraft PC is nearly defeated by survivalcraft. There’s not much more for minecraft pe to add anymore, and I have a feeling Kaaulus has a long list of things to create. Besides, I don’t know if this is true, but a minecraft player told me minecraft PC is almost done with updates. I predict three years from now, if all minecraft players were introduced to survovalcraft, survivalcraft would overthrow it. Surprisingly enough, my brother says survivalcraft is already alittle better than minecraft PC, and he once loved minecraft PC. He played it all night when a friend came over and he made that decision. Great work Kaaulus, five more updates and you’ll dwarf minecraft.

Survivalcraft is not close to defeating minecraft’s pc’s over 30 million players. Hundreds of new mods and huge servers with extremely massive builds from giant building teams keep the players always excited. Also new hunger games servers never gets boring. If sc had more players and mod creators… mods that actually add new items and animals…

Try survival mode first, you will not be bored. My MCPE pal is really enjoying it.
Think of it this way, Kaalus gives us updates on what is being added more often than the team of mojang does. Kaalus works alone and can give us more in a shorter period of time and lastly the only reasons he has been taking a long time to fill us in on his work is because 1.) He has a life other than Survivalcraft and 2.) The things he is adding are quite big and take a long time to get just right. I myself am growing quite eager to hear what he has to say next.
Plus he’s not going to release clothing have done he likes to finish his stuff when he starts

Stelma howareya? Yes one can certainly have fun with the latest MCPE. To turn ones nose up at it only hurts oneself. Just depends on the flavor of fun you are in the mood for, which one you play. If you get hooked on SC challenge mode – MCPE is not rough enough to compare – it is hard to play any other mode in any other game including SC!

ADD A KANGAROO WITH A ROCKET LAUNCHER WHICH SHOOTS RABID RABBITS THAT KILL THINGS INSTANTLY BEFORE EXPLODING A RADIUS OF FIVE HUNDRED BLOCKS. THE EXPLOSION SHOULD MAKE LOTS OF ACID THAT TURNS THE BLOCKS IT TOUCHES INTO LIQUID VERSIONS OF THEMSELVES.
THEN THE KANGAROO WILL START TO SPEAK ENGLISH AND GROW TWO MORE LEGS AND FOUR WINGS. IT WILL FLY AT SUPER SPEEDS POOPING DOWN AT THE PLAYER. THE POOP WILL BE A BROWN BLOCK THAT SPAWNS AT THE KANGAROOS BUTT AND FALLS LIKE SAND ONTO THE PLAYER.

rabbids and turkey and squirrel sounds good it would be better if it was seasons come in when its winter its hard to find food but when its spring its easy for food and when its fall trees stared to change colors orange,red,yellow, and some trees still green and when its summer you get more thirsty if water was added to the vital statistics cause food is important but warter is moreportant but i cant wait for more of kaalus update cause patience is the key and that update yall wishing for might come in the future i guess.

Survivalcraft is a good game,but y ou must add more things.There are my ideas: y ou must add a sprint function,y ou must add pets,beds,ans you need tout make the game more fantastic,more cool,add monsters like vampires,gollems,dragons,and add thé multiplayer mod please!!
