ART on Android

I asked this already on Twitter, but to get more responses here it comes again:

In 1.25, I made some changes to make the game run better under experimental ART runtime on Android (which is the successor of Dalvik). I haven’t tested those changes yet, but I am curious how it fares on various devices. If you are running ART already on your phone/tablet, could you please let me know whether the game works properly, and what device do you have?

Oh and tiger guy,I was first but your prediction about the post itself was wrong. I can’t wait to see what’s coming out for 1.26, I’d like to see more uses of the string, like a net, because it’s so hard to get fish. I wish we kept the old sharks and piranhas,I don’t really like the bass

I believe my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) is using ART since the Kitkat update a month or so ago. I have had no problems with the latest version of the game.

I’ve used ART with survival craft, and although the load up screen is a bit longer the first time you start it(as expected) it definitely ran with less lag spikes, I can’t really speak for anything that might have needed to be fixed as I’m currently back to using the Dalvik Runtime. If you’d like I could switch back to ART to test it more extensively.

I cannot find the developer options in my new phone at the time but when I do I’ll try it out.

And about that Community Content error I emailed you about earlier- it’s all working properly now. Sorry to waste your time.

After playing for about 5 minutes I found the startup time to be the same. Perhaps a tiny bit slower. But when playing the game itself I found it to be considerably more laggy…I have a Samsung Galaxy S5.

Tiger, your ANDROID SOFTWARE is very old. Gindgerbread is 2.3, a successor to Froyo. Gingerbread’s successors are Honeycomb (3.0 – 3.2.6), Ice Cream Sandwich(ICS, 4.0 – 4.0.4, my OS on Android), Jellybean (4.1 – 4.3) , and the latest KitKat (4.4- 4.4.3 or later)

The game runs smoothly with every in-game setting turned up to the maximum in 1080p with my HTC One M8 running Android 4.4.2! I’d say that’s a huge improvement.

Kaalus, for 1.26 I want you to create a backpack / satchel for the character, cause, I cannot see how do you put all the items inside nothing, so to make it seem like it makes sense, make a backpack model, I’m glad no one is waging a war of the ages now………
