New Inventory

I can see there is a bit of confusion with the new creative inventory system in 1.23.

The reason the current system had to change is editable items. The old system was very sloppy with the items, sometimes picking them up into large creative inventory, where they were swallowed into the slots, never to appear again.

It wasn’t a problem in the earlier versions, but in 1.23 certain items have data associated with them, for example memory banks or truth tables. It is important that you don’t lose these items by accidentally picking them up. Therefore I had to change it. You need an empty space in the inventory to pick up items in creative.

Amazingly, so far I don’t see any serious issues cropping up with 1.23! That’s pretty astonishing, taking into account the amount of engine changes that I put in there.

    I must tell my brother about this and tell him to download the full version with his voucher. He will start testing tomorrow, and as he is eight I will tell him to tell me about anything strange. There was something that looked really bad once, he had 1.21 and he had activated a texture pack for a few updates before. Most of the stuff was blank. Then he updated to 1.22 and everything was fine.

    I am testing the visibility at 160 blocks no problems at the moment, I have got Sony Xperia z1 phone, the game runs smooth at 160 blocks.
    Also I have updated my world on the community my world is called
    Daverave40 Pt2 so go and check it out :)

    Kaalus joker ;) high visibillety works perfect on asus Nexus 7!
    BUGS: if you go high and look down, the ground is werd if you move.
    The other bug is that thee new fly mode not is.
    That are the one that is have Seen :-) for the one who not know how you get things from Graves,break the gravestones :-)

      Nest ons found :-) : in my harmless all my oustrich are now donkey eggs it is for my nog really a probleem but it is a bug :-)

    Hey, I had a idea for ppl wanting zombies. Since he already has jack-os, and horses, maybe he could do the headless horse-man. He could pop up on his horse, throw a fire pumpkin or two and ride off. It would be scary and challenging to kill since he runs back off. Plus the fire would be pretty damaging.

    For the person that suggested Bigfoot, I like that too.

    I would like for kaalus to add some brighter colored paints. Maybe make a flower to add the recipes you already have, it just brightens the colors. Like turns pink into a hot pink or green into a lime green. OR….. A flower that turns paint into glow in the dark ….

    I know you’ve worked very hard on it, and I respect that, but I have to be honest and say i’m underwhelmed by this update. Love the ratings system, but that’s about all. The majority of the new additions were electrics, and for those of us that barely managed the first set of electrics(besides connecting batteries to light bulbs), we have no intention of ever touching these new ones. That being said, I know a lot of people love the electrics feature. I think I’m upset because I feel I shouldn’t have to spend a week on google searching electrics’ features… For a game. Maybe you could build a manual for electrics into the game itself, next update? Forgive me if I sound rude; did not mean to be. I am just expressing MY thoughts. The game is still amazing, and I still prefer it to Minecraft. I have no doubt it will only get better and bigger.

    1.23 is best update ever.now i can see entire greenstone city and i can move without freezing every 2 seconds.
    I can run greenstone city or what ever map with max view distance on first gen nexus 7.

    In creative mode, would it be possible to change the program to pick up (i.e., discard) non-logic blocks? Unless I’m overlooking something, the only blocks which need to be handled specially are the logic blocks with state information (truth tables, memory, etc.).

    I’m probably overlooking something. Wouldn’t be the first time (and it won’t be the last, either).

    Theres one problem. When I brake grave stones its always one kind.so if I try to break a different kind it turns out to be the other one.please fix

    Wow.this max view distance is really amazing.i was able to triple my memory unit to 3077 bits(256 words,12 BITS).

    uh, kaalus this is the weirdest bug i’ve ever seen……… i was walking around my world on the demo (because i didn’t buy the game from the play store) and i noticed a peculiar tree, its bottom block was a birch log and the rest of the tree, like logs and branches and stuff inside the leaves were all dirt……… if someone could tell me how to upload a picture I’d love to show you guys, it’s really freaky!!!

    ummm use WordPress then make a blog if you have to take a picture download the image from you’re game and as soon once you post about press insert media then go to survivalcraft photos then click on it and insert into post then make the post and publish then send a link to kaalus through email to alert him.

    Hey Kaalus, I love this, game, only a few features left it needs though…one caught my eye…this game is survival-based, am I right? Well, where are the bugs? Mosquitoes? Termites? Leaches? Fleas? Butterflies? Nats? Mothes? It would be great if you did add some bugs, it would make it more…real.
