I just realized that it should be really dark at night when there is a new moon.
So it will be in 1.23. At new moon, if you have brightness set to 0, you won’t be able to see anything on the terrain at all. Completely black, unless there is artificial lighting. The same as at the bottom of the deepest cave :-)
First new moon only happens during the 8th night from the start of the game, and every 8 nights afterwards.
This is a tiny change, but if you check twitter, you know that I am working on something bigger that should take the game to the next level visually. Unless you have a slow device, in which case you are out of luck :-)

– light’s with support for colors.
– blurring textures
– high res version of the default texture
– ambient occlusion
– soft shadows
I have no idea if this is possible performance wise, but still imagine how it could look like makes fun ;)

I’m not suprised, multiplayer is an incredibly hard part, you have to make sure everyone has their own unique username and/or skinpack, you then have to write how it will work i.e. servers or LAN networks, and there also has to be a way for people to access these to create servers, there should be a banning system for rude or offensive players, certain in game commands may have to be made so that someone doesn’t log on to the server in creative etc. It’s just complicated, so don’t get let down if multiplayer isn’t added

No light at all when you set your device’s brightness to zero only. Unless you have a little luminotic items. (E.g. Lightbulbs, jack-o-lanterns or wicker lamps.

Kaalus, Survivalcraft has started crashing for no apparent reason a few days ago. Have tried everything, from force closing it, turning on off my 5g itouch, uninstalling and reinstalling and installing it from itunes, but nothing seems to work. It works fine on my iPhone 4, but suddenly just crashes on my itouch for no apparent reason. Any insight of this, or is it just my ipod, even though i have Survivalcraft since June and nothing of this sort has happened. Any ideas? I even set my ipod back to factory mode with nada. Any ideas?
Could it have probably a faulty world from the community section of the game? I’m just bringing this out. Is it possible that a world could have potentially contained malware?

I bet its shadows. especially since it can be turned off. most games that have shadows have the ability to turn them off. also he indicated that it was more to do with the looks of the game. if so…great idea.
I still hope he will consider my idea for the slope blocks. I think it would add a whole new aspect to the game. one could make smooth slopes for roofs and ramps (and who knows what else) and one could use them for all sorts of contraptions (traps and slides extra)

We should have a kalus in the game, it sounds wierd but hear me out. If minecraft has a Notch, we should have a kalus! I guess you could say that he spawns randomly even when you have static on worlds. If you hit him with something,words would pop up on the screen-
Theses are some things he might say-
“Ouch!”
“Ha ha! That tickles!”
“Hey friend, why you hating on me?”
*”Don’t rob me! Here, have my diamonds!” (Will give you diamonds)
“What? You want something punk?!”
*”You don’t scare me AMETURE!” (Will fight you)
*”AHHHH!!!” (Runs away)
Some have actions, and some don’t. But if you toss an item on the ground he will pick it up and say one of these things-
“Thanks!” (Will toss you a random item)
“OOOH! Mine!” (Grabs and runs off)
“Gimy more!”
“What? You…” will kill you and take items away)
There is also, a very small chance, of finding kalus in your house. If you want him to live in your house, simply select a diamond, and he will follow you for a few minutes. If he is in your house, he might say-
“Oh hey, I thought I would crash for a bit!”
“Here’s my rent now let me live here” tosses diamond to you)
“I cooked dinner!” (Tosses Cooked foor or bread or milk)
“I found cow. Me hungry. ” tosses raw bacon fish or chicken)
“MY HOUSE!” (Might kill you, but if you escape he will leave when new moon comes!)
ALSO! If he replys friendly he will probably stay there pernamently and will start to hunt, find materials, find horses & cook! He has 99+ lives so him dying is rare and he is unable to catch on fire! If you agree with this, lets all email kalus and tell him this!!! Please support this by saying “Cheese!” Please!!! We can make this happen!!!! :3

Kaalus should be able to break all blocks including bedrock. Under the bedrock is the Eternal Void. If he enters it he will respawn at your sleep position. But when he respawns, he will have red eyes and will start to be agressive! He will now start to say stuff like:
“People abuse me!” (Attacks all animals except for fishes)
“ARGH!” (Goes crazy and breaks all blocks except for Basalt and Granite)
“Nargh!” (Drops random items except for Dirt, Germanium and Diamonds)
Then you must battle him! If you kill him, Granite & Basalt will be replaced with Medium and Large Gunpowder Kegs! They will start to explode, making your world explode! Booom!!!

I was watching minecraft page and saw the new features added and in the next update (PE 0.8.0 ) will add minecars and railsways and in the next update (PE 0.9.0 ) will add villagers. kaalus would be great that will come on and bring these features in version 1.2.3

I heard in minecraft pe 0.8.0 wolves,minecarts, and villagers are going to be in. In 0.9.0 swamps, jungles,enderman, and nether world will be added. Yesterday survivalcraft was the 7th top paid for game. Minecraft pe is the 1st top paid for. Today survivalcraft is number 8. Its slowly going down the top ten while mc is at the top. :( Maybe more interesting features will put survivalcraft at the top. So that people who haven’t played survivalcraft will see the features and want it. For example, dogs, swamps, multiplayer, and all that stuff so people who haven’t played sc will want it. Here’s a secret I never told. Shh! I only bought survivalcraft because I thought it had multiplayer. :D
