Boats are pretty much finished. Here’s a video showing the action:
Actually, in the middle of making of the video I had a brainwave how to make them even cooler! That’s why there’s this little teaser at the end. You’ll see what it is in the next one.
All the big things are out of the way, and I am already testing 1.22 for the release. There’s still a couple of little niggles to fix, but hopefully around the weekend I’ll be able to push the first build to Google Play.
As usual, Google Play folks will get it first. There’s no certification/review process there, so I can release fixes quickly. Once all the bugs missed by my testing are ironed out (probably a few days – famous last words?), I’ll publish for all the remaining platforms.

Me neither but kaalus needs to fix his photodiode thing cause my lights aren’t coming on at night only during the day which is not helping me when I’m getting wood at night from my tree farm
Photodiodes only set a circuit state to 1 (on) when they are receiving light. To make a night-light you need to place a NOT GATE (inverts the input state; in this case when it is light enough and the photodiode is on, state of 1 the lightbulb will be off and when the photodiode is in darkness, state of zero, the lightbulb will be on) between your photodiode and light (s). Just remember lights only receive a signal and will not repeat it and photodiodes need to be placed well away from lightbulbs or you end up with blinkenlights ;) the night harvests. On that note I’m wondering if lightbulbs are strong enough to grow rye.. I know they are strong enough for grass to spread without sunlight. Experiment with electrics in creative Trevor, it’s fun and so far I’ve created (then duplicated in survival for my castle) an awesome drawbridge over a lava pit, an aqueduct that grows and harvests cactus, and a flowing moat that collects animals/baddies, and slaughters them at a push of a button :D

I want pistons soooooo bad, I try to think of how new objects might serve as pistons too lol. So far I’ve dreamed up a waterslide ride and using a boat as a cool delivery device (since they stack) for stuff like lit gunpowder barrels XD.

was wondering. could you make a naval boat. like basically its very large but has the ability to move into it. and you get to do a first person view of controlling the ship when you get to the bridge. and like more guys could be in one ship operating weapons and with servers we could have a naval battle :DDD

I agree but one prob. Girls play this too. You should be able to change your gender from boy to girl to vampire to zombie or a werewolve. You should be able spawn a family make it more realistic. And you should be able to have a pet.

I’ve no idea if you read it in the previous post. So I’ll add it again.
About trapdoors coming from the walls when you let gravel or sand drop. Makes it really difficult to make good adventure maps. Can you make them stick?
And the other one was stairs and slabs being washed away by water. I can imagine that it was a graphical drawing problem and solution to it by making them wash away. ;)

You wouldn't have to program the water flow over each individual step or over a slab of 1/3 a block. You had gaps left not? (my guess)
And have doors and trapdoors block water? (other problems?)

Can’t count how many times portions of my aqueduct washed away because I used stone brick slabs/stairs. Kaalus please answer and thanks for the fantastic game, updates, and communication!!!

They don’t actually do that, they put their head close to the ground, near a bush or something, and blend into their surroundings.

I think it would be an excellent idea to make rain collect water…..if it starts to rain it forms puddles but if it rains to hard then it would cause flooding. this would make it 100% more realistic because in real life when it pours the water doesn’t disappear, it forms puddles and little lakes when it floods

Hmm… I am hoping that “stacking” a few boats in the crafting table can build a galley, or some small ship if a mast (stick?) is added to the galley. It should have greater strength and sea worthiness; a shark in real life would not attack a ship, now an orca, in the other hand…

I also want armor that should help in survival mode a lot Id like armor and armor is realistic it’s sometimes used in the army of how it works is they put armor like padding under their clothes so makes better protection against bullets and stuff there more protected like boom so it actually is realistic but the type of armor im thinking of is different so tell you what type armor I think is cool in the next post.
Okay so the armor im thinking of is. 1. A normal helmet kind of should look like a bikers helmet and stuff 2. Armored vest kinda like a bullet proof vest being basically durable to a bear attack s instead of taking lots of damage I could take bout 10 percent of a heart so you know keeps you safe 3. Pants duh I think it should keep you mainly safe from like orcas or like sharks or so 4. Is duh the armored boots how I would believe this should work is keep you safe like from piranhas or animals the size of the armored boots. Pretty nice ideas huh armor should go kinda like that. I’d believe.

Yeah you two have thought of something quite good Roman armor sounds actually good even clothes but clothes are more like when kaalus adds seasonal patterns and what ever like blizzards and heat waves but actually armor should be used to survive animal attacks and clothing to survive getting frost bite or a heat stroke plus I believe there should be like poisoning and stuff like that and like medicines in bottles that heal poisoning and stuff like that. Wouldn’t that be kind of cool it would be based for survival and stuff.

I agree but I can’t figure out how to post my Ranch!! I have wild horses, a barn (with 8 horses), guest house, guest barn, jumping training courses, double fenced pathways with sand road, jumping course, race track, show ring, paddock, warm up arena, Zebra barn (built with no zebras in it), and more to come!! HOW DO I POST IT?!?!?! (If and when I figure out to post it, I will call it the Pays Ranch or Ranch resort.)
you have to press your world and go to the section u edit it in and where it says upload u press that….I believe u need a drop box account so get that if u don’t have one…then u go to community content, private then up in the upper right or left area it says something about your SD card, u want to change that to your dropbox , when worlds show up (if any) u find your world and press it, press copy then go back to community content, press community (if it says that), publish and hold ur finger on the top line and paste then from there u name ur world, label as world (it will originally say texture) and post. hopefully it will be successful and in a few minutes ur world will appear in the community content for everyone to enjoy.

I think the other thing is that you are going to be able to attach blocks to the boat, and kaalus should add bigger chests
For 1.23-
_You should add carts to attach to horses by making rope that can also be tied around a fence to stop your horse from walking away. Rope should come from sheep, which drop wool and maybe meat. Boats should be upgraded and we should have more vehicles such as planes, air balloons and cars.
_Elephants would be fun… Riding elephants would be fun.. Hint hint.. XD

_Maybe we could have villagers that ACTUALLY do stuff unlike in Minecraft. They could ride horses, follow you, have babies that grow up over time ( maybe with potions you could speedup growth ;) you could control them to work on your farm etc. If not, we should be able to send a pop up message through Survivalcraft to our friends so they can join us or via wifi so random people from all over the world can join you like Mario Kart Wii. I say this because living in a house by yourself can be lonely and scary in a way. O.o
-If you do allow people to join you, there should not be a friend limit.
-Adding people and knowing when they are playing Survivalcraft so we can join them or invite them (sort of like Animal Crossing).
_Fishing poles, lasso, etc. would help a lot.
_We could have chickens that lay eggs and drop feathers when shedding. Maybe have the ability to fry or boil eggs, or mix them with flour to make cake :3
_Dogs and cats that can be tamed. I don’t want you to copy Minecraft but I still think that you should make the dogs attack the animal you start attacking so it wont hit your horse.
_Oh and I don’t think I have a bug but I’m making a farm and I need to spawn a lot of animals in one place but it seems like there is a limit to spawning animals. Also I like to make artificial ponds and they allow me to spawn fish but I sometimes spawn fish out of water for fun. It wont let me do so in natural ponds/lakes. Please take off the spawning limit.
_Sitting action would be great for maybe stairs (used as chairs) and lying down when going to sleep ( when you look from a different perspective, you don’t lie down).
Here’s the big thing. There are the kings/knights/queens etc. who want to rule a kingdom with friends, slay dragons and climb up a fair maiden’s hair (most likely a villager that you have put a hair growth spell on), or have kids (Queen VILLAGER) or SPAWN kid/babies (alternative Queen FRIEND) . There are the sailors and pirates who like to fish and fight others. The farmers who raise and harvest. The cowboys/girls who like to adventure. The idiots who build a house but forget to make a compass. The experimenters who blow everything up. There are so many of us who play your game, black, Asian and white. Boy or girl. I know 7 yr old kids play this game. We all have our needs Kaalus, thats why the things above ^^^ are needed to create a world you can venture into. If you’re a farmer, you might just want to raise a family and grow crops. If you’re a pirate or sailor, you would want to take some friends and/or computer controlled villagers to battle another ship. You could even make old fashioned trains for material transportation, and modern trains for travel or the fun of it. Cars for a trip with your friends. Planes for material transport or travel. Buses (we can make our own bus stops) to take you to and fro.
WE can control all these things. WE can craft these things. I know this would be a lot of hard work but these are ideas I think you should consider.
Last things,
There have been many inappropriate worlds created, like how to r@pe, giant wooden statues doing stuff etc. I think we should be able to report them instead of someone blowing it up and reposting it so everyone can read their rant about it. This is something more important than upgrades in 1.23 (sadly to say ;( )
Now I would just like to point out that I am an 11 year old BLACK GIRL, and I notice not a lot of games have different skin colours or you’re only allowed to be a boy. Please add skins that we can decorate with hats, hair, shirts pants and shoes.

I think rain water should build up into puddles depending on how hard or how much it rains. if it rains a little it should form a puddle, if it rains a lot it floods forming a lake. puddles would also disappear after a while due to the process of evaporation. anyone think this is a good idea?

I just wondered what would happen if I’d made a hole eg 8x8x1 and flooded it with water after putting the boat on the bottom. Does it start floating? Would all the other stuff that don’t sink also start floalting?
