As promised in the last post, here’s a new video for you showing one more new creature:
These are pretty nasty. Although their bite is not powerful, they usually come in numbers. They will smell you from a distance and come over for lunch.
Apart from the video, today I made game loading slightly faster. Yahoo! Tree brushes were taking disproportionally long time to generate, so I optimized that.
Now back to the new mechanics. I hope I’ll be ready to reveal it in the next one.

How many creatures will come?
My guess is some form of rideing, because it is the only thing where a animal is touched by the player directly.
Unless, you added Animals literally eat the hero, gnawing off the arms and ripping out the organs.

It’s probably clothing. Seeing as how the new hero looks thinner so clothes and armor can fit on him without making him too bulky so that he can still fit through a 1×2 block space.
I’m thinking either swimming or boats but having said that I can’t yet see what would drive us into the open sea to face a shark so maybe it’s fishing or something simple such as a breath meter so we can dive down for clay and know when to come up for air.
Kaalus, Thank you for adding sharks and piranhas! I also asked you to add electro motor. If you do this, you’re meeting all my 3 needs (sharks, piranhas and motor), wich I have wrote to you before and I’ll consider you a magician!

My guess (and I reaaalllllyyy hope its this) that you will add rideing of animals, and animal conpanionship, by the way this had been requested a lot! I think you should also add boats, I’ve heard youre adding tains, I dont k ow if thats true or not, but it would be cool if you did, also maybe ot in his update, but maybe in the next update could you add multiplayer??? Im really big on multiplayer, boats, rideing animald, and animal companionship.

I made an aquarium, but I can’t wait to fill it with sea life by the way make it 3 blocks high on the inside, I play mc occasionally with the tropicraft mod and I get best results with the 3 block high thing.
Give us a hint on what are the new mechanics

Possible fishing skill for hunting fish with these creatures. My guess the new mechanics in game might include bows from how new animations of (Ex. Drawing a bow) are better illustrated with the new hero.

Someone in the last post’s comments asked about stone blocks burning after a lighning strike and your diamond block issue sounds similar which means it could be down to the coal block bug he has fixed in 1.21.

Makes them a bit useles for bomb proof bunkers, but heck if your rich you can burn diamonds in your fireplace, and not worthless blocks of coal. Oh yea, burn in diamonds!!!

What about release the game on the Windows store in Windows 8. It will be very easy for kaalus beacause Windows phone apps and Windows 8 apps share the same source code.
Obviously this is a mobile game, so bringing it out for a windows pc might seem pretty pointless, and a slight waste of time, especially considering that the original minecraft and other mods are available to buy….. Erm…. Well, not exactly…. Some netbooks or ultra portable laptops with low voltage processors would benefit from this game, since they cant run minecraft very well….. But the biggest problem would probably be the extra large amount of work and testing on different hardware and software of every laptop and computer…
But don’t forget Windows 8 is on Tablets too ;)
Could you add a person spawner so you could make a town and could you add a fishing rod and boats so you could go fishing. Youre getting this game better and this idea will make it even better!

Can you release the default texture pack for 1.21 a day or two before you release the update please. That way texture pack makers can get a head start updating our packs and hopfully have a few already ready by the time the update is out. And for the next update could you please allow us to change the textures of mobs also not just the terrain.

I‘ll take a wild guess here, the new game mechanic could be more advanced movements like running and being able to grab ledges from the ground or from a jump to suit the new character model and stamina that drains when doing any physical action. But I think you are working on something simpler but game changingly important. Wish you great success!

Nahh… I still need animals more often around my home, i build from sunrise to sunset without see any wolf… And i don’t need to go at lakes and seas…
Maybe some holes are near your home. And animals drop to the hole and can,t go out. So you can,t see them.

Rabbits could come in brown and white, white being rarer. The white ones would lay colored easter eggs! They’d be edible and boost your health 25%
I really hope that animal companionship is beaing added, its requested a lot, oh and kaalus is there going to be trains? I’ve heard people saying you’re makeing trains. And, if you havent gotten animal companionship down, you should really consider adding it in the next update.

That would be awesome! We have a werewolf, now if we had like a giant, that’d be sweet! Or maybe like a dinosaur-type creature that would roam the island and kill anything, that would be awesome! I’m sure Kaalus has something awesome planned though!

Hi guys haven’t posted in a while… A while ago I suggested a volcano biome… People said no so I’m currently building it with basalt ground lava pools and no animals except for birds There will be a forest nearby for wood and water will be hidden underground in caves. I don’t plan to finish soon but it will be up eventually for everyone who likes the idea. Leave a comment if you like the idea 👍

I would love a bed instead of finding a perfect spot to sleep on……..and also a jungle biome
I carry some ‘leaves’ with me ideal to make a bed with. As seen in a survival TV-show. Very educative.
I hope they attack just about anyhting that gets into their waters and not only a chracter. Birds inlcuded.
btw is it possible for tropical-lakes with piranhas to overlap with none-tropical-lakes that have stingrays(?).
What if a players makes those lakes connect? Or transfers fish from one lake to an other? Can they attack stingrays and sharks as well?
On the lefora forum alot of people would lke to see, are asking for, an improvement on animal behaviour realism. Animals fearing fire. Hunting each other. Cows, wolves and none-polar-bears not swiming in the ocean. ? :)
Oh and maybe have the waters turn ‘blood’-red during feeding frenzies (if for-all-age appropiate)
