I am now working on a new, better Recipaedia. The old Recipaedia contained only recipes. The new one will also have all the blocks, their properties and descriptions.
Although it is a lot of work that I would happily postpone until later, it’s crucial that I do it now, because otherwise it would be very difficult to make sense of electric elements and how exactly they function. I have a lot of writing up to do. Over 100 blocks have to be described. Fortunately the properties are lifted automatically from the game data and do not have to be manually entered.
This is a sample of how a block description will look like:
I wanted to make a video of upside-down trapdoors today, but haven’t got time :-( Maybe tomorrow.
I’d really like to get 1.19 out as soon as possible, it’s starting to drag too long. It’s been over a month since the last update, which is longer than any previous one, I think. Still one more major thing to do after the new Recipaedia is the new help system that will cope with the new UI layout.
Yesterday I fixed signs rendering. The old code relied on a quirk of hardware that is present on Windows Phones, and on some but not all Androids. Blank or black signs were the result on unsupported devices. This is now fixed. One more item struck from the list :-)
