Work on the new feature for 1.19 is going well. As I said, it’s big and it will take some time. I think I have about 15% of it finished at the moment. I can be quite precise, because this one has been planned well in advance, so I know what I have left to do.
At least I hope so :-)

This time I made it really easy, compared to the earlier mystery features. I bet most of you will have guessed what it is after seeing the screenshot.
My other priority is Android stability. Input system seems to be throwing a fit on Sony Xperia phones. I have a rough idea what is going wrong, but can’t be sure without getting my hands on the actual failing device. Hopefully this may happen soon.

Gliding is an option in creative mode, where you can fly around just like Minecraft creative.
Kaalus, pleeeaaassee don’t rush this update :) The electrics need to be 1st class/ top quality… Also, please make as many pieces of electrical equipment as possible :) … Guessing what I’ve said is easier said than done :P

I know the game closes on xperia play if you press the left shoulder button and some people think that that’s the only resin why it closes but I know the game still closes without touching the button just a little heads up :0)
what we see is a copper wire or in layman’s terms a copper conductor or cable. can’t wait to see the hardware this will be attached to. this would make a good weapon too.

I have xperia neo v , and yes – game crashed couple of times, and once after that crash I’ve got error: world name corrupted or smgt like that. Even if I tried to modify world name the error still appears. So I erase that world.
Even if game crash it saves last changes to world, so its not so bad :)

Kaalus, I have a bug report. When you mine the block under a jack-o-lantern, the lantern disappears but you still pick up the block. Jsyk. Btw, love the game! Looking forward to the updates to come. Great work.
Suggestions
Power sources could include
– Wind turbines (May be hard to create)
– Solar (Easy to create, would work better in a desert)
– Heat (Complex to create, may need lava and water/ steam to work)
– Heat again (Use the furnace, or an equivalent that burns fuel more slowly or uses lava to produce power)
– Water? (Complex to create. Tidal probably won’t work, wave power could work on waterfalls, or moving water? May get damaged by ice)
– Harness the power of thunderstorms (use electric conductors)
Components
– Switches to open doors automatically
– Batteries?
– Speakers to repel or attract animals from a certain area (May work well with grass traps)
– Electric torch? (Would stay on the player itself, only work when held/ selected, and wouldn’t be as bright as the traditional burning torches)
– Metal detector (May not need electrics, could work on magnetics, or heat detector?
I’m struggling to come up with ideas when it comes to components… Really hope the developer(s) have got some good stuff planned though :)

The only things I’ve been on is an old version of minecraft on the Xbox (briefly) and watched a few tekkit with Duncan YouTube videos
I think he should create a dynamo that can be used with a water wheel, and a windmill. water being easiest just cut a trench from a water source and use the intial part to drive wheel then dynamo. then the dynamo could be connected at other end of circuit producing the reverse ( a motor ) create some rails, make them live, add a cart with motor (dynamo)…hey presto we’d all love a cart,, wouldn’t we?

I think Cooperdan you hit the nail on the head the conductors themselves would be onnly 15% of the build and the other 85%……. being 20% dynamo/motor simple copper coil, magnets,frame or unit. wooden wheel for water 10% and windmill or wind turbine 10%. that leaves about another 15% for main units blocks created around those smaller units to create main framework or fixings. leaving about 30% for creating rails and cart. do’able. remember the cart will use the then new dynamo as a motor. a switch here and there and if he needs to be clever a throtle could be made from a reistat. increase and decrease of power from a coil,
I did ask once if he would consider a large construction made up of many craft table elements that could be cobeled together creating a large creation from many more units. he said that this was something he had considered and may happen. silly me thought that the big thing was going to be something like this. (android) doh no. but maybe he still has this in mind, and hopefully thats what we may see. solar panels would be very easy. create a panel connect some wires and hey presto. we don’t really need any other light any easier than a bit of coal and stick. so the coming of electricity must be used for something else. carts and rails seem my obvious guess.then switches circuits etc..

All I can say, is that a mode of transport would be really good, but slightly complicated to make… I love the idea of larger and more complicated things to craft, but I stick to my guns, as I have mentioned before that this game needs more resource blocks to mine, which would be an easy way to make more complicated crafts in the future
As both me and you, in a way have struggled with ideas for components, I have my doubts whether the developers will create some interesting stuff, that could keep players entertained for days, if not weeks… Either way, ever since I bought 1.14, I have always wanted electric circuits on this game
Power created from coal would be the most obvious although a source like a redstone torch or button/lever in minecraft works better for adventure maps and inventions
Jriot am i right in saying redstone in MC is it’s own power source and conductor too? i have watched some yogcasts but never really dabelled with the SC clone.. ooh should i say that. some of those circuits are incredible.
You may be talking about the Yogcasts tekkit episodes. Tekkit is a mod for minecraft that introduces thousands of circuits into the game.

I think it wud be cool most of the buttons do work the now x jumps left shoulder button removes blocks and your d pad works it needs right thumb stick to look and right shoulder button to place blocks o and a crosshear on the screen :0)
How about dungeons with treasures?Pirates as enemies or something like this,I think,it would be cool to fight with them.
Hey Kaalus you really should add armor/ clothing, new creatures like zombies skeletons and spiders, change name of stone from granite to just stone, add more types of food ex.apples from trees, wheat farming for bread, beef from cows, and pork from hogs, add gold stuff, remove basalt and change it to stone, add bedrock placing and breaking in creative mode, make pumpkins wearable as helmets, make swimming a lot easier, and add vines, mossy cobblestone, and mossy stone bricks, and finally change the cobble texture to more crack filled, and last but not least add paper, maps, and birch wood planks, spruce wood planks, and oak wood planks. Sorry for all the stuff but I really want that stuff and a last, last, last, thing is change diamond tools and weapons recipes to just like you would craft a regular tool/weapon. Thanks and really hope for some of this.

I like trying to keep the game unlike minecraft in many ways, but I do kind of agree with the idea of being able to place bedrock in creative. This would be useful.

I’m totaly with you on SC being a stand alone similar game to mc. but with the introduction of cable, we will see some form of generation. and further to that the next progresion must be an apliance to use it with. there are realy only four uses for electricity. lights, heating, motors, and cicuits. everything else you can think of fits into those groups. lights could be ok but i’m not gonna run a cable down a cave to provide something i can make very quickly from a torch. we could use heat to grow stuff, but moving into a warmer climate fixes this. Circuits could well help us opening doors and setting traps. leaving something that needs a motor. Minecarts on electrified rails seems a logical move. their is a fith but eletrifying animals would be a bit of a waste. when we have perfectly good fences. Unless we are gonna see some T.rex’s

This game is awesome, but it needs something… My ideas, little copy of minecraft: boats, minecart, rails, bow & arrows, pistons, zombies, skeletons, spiders and something what minecraft dont have… And my biggest idea: multiplayer. Okey, i know it’s very very hard to do but i hope you think to do it… Think little… You can play whit your friends and more people buy survivalcraft… and sorry my english, its little bad :D
seriously guys stop asking for kaalus to add things that minecraft has. In case you haven’t noticed, this is SURVIVALcraft. Not MINEcraft. So no, he will not be adding skeletons and zombies and domesticated wolves or apples falling from trees or pistons or any of that shit. You know what he WILL add? Something better, and more interesting, for each category mentioned. Want more animals? Well guess what! He will add some! But they won’t be zombies or creepers or any of that crap. Want more food sources? Well good news! He WILL add some! And they’ll be unique to survivalcraft. And as you can see he is already adding his own unique twist to the electricity aspect of the game. Let him do his own thing. I’ve always respected his great ideas and the fact that he takes LOGICAL requests into consideration. So if your gonna ask something that’s a direct mimic of minecraft, dont waste your time.

I think villagers is a little too far out at the moment. Maybe he will add natives later (remember the storyline, dropped off and deserted) but I can agree with someee sort of animal riding, although I think we should ride bears ;P haha just kidding, but c’mon it would be epic.
I know kaalus has talked about ranged weapons before so expect that in the future
I have tried to ride a polar bear and it works but i fell (in survivalcraft):p and btw i think native is a good idea because as long im not lonely and can have my own native village XD

Personally, Kaalus, you’re doing freaking awesome! I love how much easier this game is to control compared to Minecraft. Only request I would have is multiplayer, I love the adventure with my bros. Other than that, Keep up the amazing work and I’m stoked to see what you add in the future!

Coal already exists on SC and their is a furnace, dig some coal up and while your about that area you can usualy find iron ore their too. place a furnace where you want a fire place fashion around furnace with bricks making it fireplace like smelt the iron or with the coal. 2 birds with one stone, literaly.

Generation = power, Power equals light, motor, circuits or heat. light is also heat. and circuits are used for all. I don’t get cold. i dont need heat, i would love circuits to switch my minecart on or off. or speed up or slow down. and i dont need to hoover anything, or have no clothes to dry. so ummm, what may we use it for. ( your right it’s gonna be to hold back a t rex,..)

can always make it different to minecraft..minecraft you gotta think…where does the power actually come from to operate things like the minecarts…i was thinking maybe have a rod that lightning hits and copper wiring runs from that to something that needs power like lights,minecarts or other things..know lightning hits random places, but it could work..also wondering if wolf/bear taming or beds will be available and if werewolves will be removed in next update
ive seen many asking for beds they do exist,, you make some wodden tiles and lay them down. and you can sleep on them… but you only need a shelter that is enclosed. (nothing can get in, and is big enough to sleep in). two blocks is enough. but the floor must be wood sand or dirt, you can sleep in a six block corrider if it is enclosed. But you need wood sand or dirt to sleep on. i have seen loads of people asking for things that already exist. even on the google rating page. the best way to find out is to read back on topics. that answers most questions.

ive already decided when i first started playing to find a given level to easily put the tracks on. they will sitt ontop of my corridor its the same level every where, and digging a little bit through mountains fixes even that problem.
the floor is 5 blocks above sea level and i can tell you that exists the same on both the south end and east end of the islands. 5 blocks is about as near as you can get to the normal level playing field. two blocks left and two blocks right and glass on top gives you a corridor you can have day and night play field. level everywhere could mean a track above that is level already.
Im pretty sure kaalus would add trains :) so far all his works turn out great.if he can add electric circuiys successfully,im pretty sure trains would not be a problem for him (hopefully) :)
The easiest sleeping place is a hole cut into a hill 2 high, 3 or more inwards, block up the entrance with any two blocks, leaving a hole 1x2x2 1 width 2 depth and 2 height. torches and glass or door are handy here but not mandatory, hopefully your floor is sand or dirt and if enclosed you can sleep if you are at one end looking at the rest of the dig. you could just put 12 block of dirt around you on a level field creating a shelter but you can only sleep on those mentioned blocks hope this helps.
