MOTD real life test

I’ve just changed the message of the day to describe the workaround for the eating bug in 1.12. This is the first real life test of MOTD so I am quite excited :-) Should download to the phones within several hours. The message says (on the first line) that you should split food stack into single items to be able to eat it.

It feels almost like running a radio station :-D

Btw. the bug is already fixed and eating will be back to normal in 1.13.

Sweet…. I was wandering if you could add elevators, and or mine carts or something along those lines… It would be nice… Also armor and swords would be great…

Heyy their is a glitch where on creative mode the copper ore I actually machalite ore and their is no real copper ore

Malachite is the copper ore. Not 100% sure what you mean?

    • Posted June 11, 2012 at 00:15 | Permalink | Reply

Most copper is mined or extracted as copper sulfides (not pure copper). Malachite is a copper carbonate but still more realistic than mining pure copper ore.

    It works :)

    Another bug for you:
Can’t dismount ladders. you get “rubber banded” back.
Workaround: break bottom ladder block and jump when you need to ascend.

Btw, you considered using the WP7 beta program? Not sure the details on what goes into using it but it allows testers to DL updates the same day W/O going through cert.

    Feedback:
beef up the diamond effect? It took me nearly doubling my save game size by TUNNELING IN A STRAIGHT LINE to find a cave that thankfully had a few exposed diamond veins. After using them i can justify looking for any more. Just not worth the time.

also, dirt… Is it supposed to change back to grass ever? If so, its not working, if not, can you make that happen? My castle has an ugly patch of dirt out front ^_^

oh yea, I got an interesting screen shot of a herd of cows on the inside of my lava moat that has a 2 block think section of grass between moat and castle wall.. I built the most to keep out the wolves… I’m now worried about their spawning rules lol

I think so an iron one takes 6 hits to a big cow a diamond one takes 4 hits for a kill.

not really, it just doesn’t wear out as fast.

I’m pretty sure Kallus said it dose a bit more damage and lasts longer

    • Posted June 11, 2012 at 13:55 | Permalink | Reply

A little more than iron. But it’s a lot more wear resistant.

When you add armor I have an idea for how you can use diamond. You can make the outside diamond and as it wears down it gradually becomes iron armor. It is just an idea maybe you will just make it pure diamond armor or maybe you just won’t use diamond at all for armor. Just an idea:)

Diamond armor is very unrealistic. Iron or Leather Armor; very much realistic. I would not mind to see either Mobile Plate (“knight’s armor), or at least a O-Yoroi (“Samurai Armor).

You should make traveling warriors (its realistic and dangerous) warriors that kills you and make houses to stay in or villages with village guards who attack you if you invade their village

I think diamonds are too easy to find. I used explosives and I already have about 90 pieces of diamond
