Sneaking is in. It was actually a lot more difficult that I thought, but I eventually got the problems sorted out. To enable “sneak mode” you need to hold a small button above “look” panel. While it is held, you will not fall off the ledges, and the behaviour of “move” panel is changed so that the movement is much more precise (but you cannot cover a lot of distance). There are also changes to the camera – it lowers and moves back a little so that you can easily see sides of the block you are standing on.

Next, I will likely work either on doors or on stairs. Creatures are constantly on my mind and I would like to start on them sooner rather than later.

I have learned that if u use your crafting table as a chest and die all your items in it will remain there safe.

I really don’t need/want stairs at the level of development we are in right now. They take up the same amount of space and really don’t add any depth to the game at all. useful if anything Ladders would be useful, but I think bigger features such as creatures (which you mentioned) really should be MUCH higher in priority.

Hi reebs. Thanks for you feedback. The reason why I want to get stairs done first is that they are orders of magnitude simpler than creatures. I may get them done in one day, whereas creatures may take weeks. I’m just trying to pick low hanging fruit first.

Does the upcoming update have furnaces for smelting ores with coal? If so, are those bars created (iron, steel, etc) available for crafting? Thanks.

There will be a crafting guide included in the game menu that should tell us how to make the ingots, either way I have no idea yet.

Thanks, I already know about the included guide but the question is about furnaces and smelting. I was kinda surprised to see glass was made simply by placing sand in the craft table instead of having to place it in a furnace. Just sayin’.

No furnaces yet. There are fake recipes for the crafting table to let you make metals.

I vote on ladders over stairs…and mobs….but it would be easyer if the sneak button were a button that you didnt have to hold…u press it and you stay in sneak mode untill you unpress it

Agreed. Sneak should be a toggle not a holdle.

100% agree with toggle sneak mode. Rope and/or ladders are much more important for mining purposes than stairs IMHO (beats having to re-block your way back to the surface).

i don’t suppose you could make the sneaking a toggle button maybe? :)
cuz if one were to want to look around and move while sneaking…that..would be like holding 3 spots with 2 hands…

like…using a ps3 controller to look up, move forward (up on both sticks) And trying to push square, just my opinion though

Could you make both, stairs and ladders? Looking forward to creatures :) you think first of evil creatures for the night or nice ones we can hold in our house or garden?

I had a bug where the game did not render the ground at all,, I made new worlds and had the same issues. uninstall reinstalled and same issues. a reboot cleared it though, annoyingly wish I had tried that before uninstall as that lost my worlds.
    Good game
