Use it as a template to create your own block textures. You can download the customized blocks texture from within the game. Please note that adding transparency to slots that do not have transparency in the default blocks texture will cause visual glitches. Also, partial transparency is not supported, alpha must be either 0 or 255, or you will get more visual glitches. The width and height of the texture must be a power of 2 (128, 256, 512 etc). Maximum supported size is 1024×1024.

Blocks data and icons (1.25)
Useful for wikis etc. There’s over 1500 blocks icons in the 2.1 set.
Chunks.dat file format specification
Useful if you want to analyze, visualize or edit the world data outside of the game. For example it would be easy to create a tool that produces a patch of flat terrain so that you don’t have to flatten it yourself in creative mode. A tool that visualizes whole terrain in isometric projection using block icons is also possible. If you create something useful using this data, I’m happy to publish it on the website where it will get a lot of exposure – get coding :-)

Not sure how he can do mods on an iOS device… Maybe through the texture pack loading screen. Kaalus, you are amazing! Great game, great communication and great work ethic! What language is this written in? Not java like the competitor I assume? If it is C you could have great speed and power advantages!
One other question, in my mind you are several steps ahead of the competition in graphics, speed, features, etc… Except for one thing: no multiplayer. Ay work being done on that? I have a five year old son and we play mcpe together all the time. Survival Craft is a nicer, more polished game, but we cannot play together… That would be awesome!!! Thanks for your time and efforts, you have created a wonderful game!

It’s not for pixels.
Use a pixel editor. There is on on the Amazon Appstore called PixelCreate. The lite version has enough features to make a texture pack. I use this app.
Unfortunately, it’s not available on iOS.
I use paint.net. It is easy to use and quite powerful. Download the blocks file and maybe somebody else’s textures and edit them. If you are finished, upload it to Dropbox and go fro there. Ask if you need more help.
If you are looking for the files on your PC, here is an example:

If you want to do it on mobile, it is a lot more difficult.

Only PNG is supported. Let’s convert the texture pack. Wait… jpg doesn’t support transparency. Therefore, this is not a good texture.

Bucket uses copper block texture for the bucket and and water/magma texture for fluide surface

If you want to stop water then put a block were you accidentally poured it and if that doesn’t work cover the water with blocks I hope this helps you. Sorry if it doesn’t work. Also some blocks can get washed away and just I.

Can you post a tutorial or something. I figured out how to use/edit the textures but things like grass, flowers, glass (stuff that was transparent) is either black and opaque. There was white.al over the pickax’s and other things.
It needs to be png format.
You can’t use Windows Paint. You have to download a tool that supports transparency, such as Paint.NET (http://www.getpaint.net/download.html).
You should make a minecart because this game was inspired by mine craft and in mines one of the most helpful thing in a mine. Also you should make multiplayer or known as online but make it so you can do like invite only or open thank you :D ;) :)

I updated my version of survival craft for the first time and it no longer shows any part of the world or blocks. All that shows up is the sky, sun and moon. I’ve tried reloading, making new, and even reinstalling the game. Nothing has worked so far… Any suggestions? This is on my HTC phones through T-Mobile

It’s a clock. I meant to add it but had some technical difficulties and abandoned it for now.
Here is a little quest I made called Kan’s Castle. Play it and tell me what you think. :) Just add it to the DB and you’re good. You play it in adventure mode and read signs to find out where to go next. You can only destroy the blocks you are told to until you reach the castle then you can have fun doing whatever.

If you don’t want people to destroy blocks don’t give them the tools to. In adventure mode you can’t destroy blocks without tools. In case you did not know – sorry if you already know that.

Please stop asking for a minecart. :\ It’s getting very repetitive and annoying to see, and as well, this is SurvivalCraft, not Minecraft. If you want a “minecraft with both powered rails and non-powered rails”, go play Minecraft. Kaalus will likely not ever add minecarts for the sake of originality. He may add something similar, but not what everyone seems to LOVE demanding. Give the developer a break from demanding things to be added and enjoy the game how it is.

Unfortunately the new tools cannot be customized as much as the old ones. You can only change the material. On the right side of the texture pack there are different materials I use for 3d models: wood, iron etc. Stone uses regular stone texture, diamond uses diamond block texture.
I can’t open the block data on my PC. I tried changing the end of the file name to .zip but does not work.
It works for me, just checked. Change the extension of the filename from “.doc” to “.zip” and it should unpack using any packer program.
i had to adjust my folder settings to display the extension of the file. Maybe for future reference you should specify that in case some people might have the same issue.
Also, it Supports Winrar to me. but only Blocksdata Document.

It downloads to the ‘download’ folder. You have to move the file to the ‘Survivalcraft’ folder.

When i have connected a battery to a wire to a light it all works. But if i add another wire off the pre existing wire the light will flash and the game will lag for 1/2 a second.. this happens every time i add a wire…

Hey kaalus I was wondering if you could Tune up the split touch controls in this update if it isnt to hard to do.I really enjoy the way you have set up your style of controls but the one flaw that is prevalent is I can not use the look function while mining blocks.I can move around with my legs but it locks the look.I am saying this because I have to stop everytime I want to go from a lower block to a higher block. My son had survival craft on his kindle. It froze so I had to reset it to factory defaults and when I did and redownloaded the app from my amazon acct all of his stuff was gone. Kaalus there is a bug with 1.22 if in creative mode and you get rid of a flower you pick it up in your inventory. Otherwise a great game can’t wate to here what’s next in survival craft!

My daughter and I love this Game we wish it had were we could connect via wifi we don’t want RPG. We just want to play together over wifi. We would also like to see a few more items like books we can write in, sink, be able to craft beds and use the cloth and dye to change the bed covers. Just some fun new items. We actually would like this better then mindcraft if we could play together. We love downloading items people make. We have made several girls we need to upload. Oh the other thing was can you create a female shape with just long straight hair. You wouldn’t have to change the clothes maybe just so they would fit a female body and hair.

Phew, thank you Kaalus – you gave enough info in your posts for me to work out the new v1.29 chunk data format (offsets are now chunk indexes – probably because a 32 bit offset is not big enough now that blocks are 32 bits in size??) …
I’ve got v1.29 rendering in the SC editor I’ve been working on – I can’t wait see how all those extra bits are being used!

Well spotted, yes the offsets are now chunk indices, not byte offsets. This is because chunks file can become >4GB. The other differences are chunk headers (0xDEADBEEF, 0xFFFFFFFE), and the unused entries in TOC must have chunk index of -1 as opposed to chunk byte offset of 0 in previous format. If you want, send me your file and when I get a bit of time I can try loading it.

Saying that, I’d love to get updates on your new crafting feature to be included in the SC editor I’m working on. It’s been quite a job working out all the bit meanings for 1.29 but I’m almost there – especially when cloning sections of the map to rotate and flip – all the corner bits need rotating and flipping as well! OK, what happened to all the textures of coal etc? Have you made them 3D? I hope the quality is good. Is there a way to change those textures if we don’t like it?

The map does require you to add some new stuff to the game (only 1 new thing required) and its original purpose was to help you make animals smater
So I just got survivalcraft 2 on my kindle and anytime I try to post a world that’s linked to dropbox ,or anything really, I get a error 400 message.
Can anyone help me out and tell me step by step how to fix this? It would be much appreciated.
I have a similar problem I dowloaded it on my iPad mini 2 and I upload every world to something called Transfer.sh cause i dont have dropbox but when I publish it it takes A LOT of time and its very hard since I santa to make parkours and stories but I cant since this problem please fix it cause I love this game! <3

I published various worlds on the cummunity content and they take DAYS to publish and its very frustrating cause i published the same thing like 5 times and since i cant delete it cause it isnt published I cant try it again pls respond cause I’ve been waiting a lot to people enjoy my work :D

Hello me from the past, I found those by reverse engineering a copy of a very old version of the game.
The game is so realistic and amazing and challenging can u plz add native people villages to trade native farming and some buildings that hold treasures
i personally prefer minecraft. but, i like survival craft as well. anyway you know community content? does it use online stored variables? that way, maybe if we had peer to peer multiplayer, you can use online stored variables as well
