I hit some problems with the new game mechanic, it bogged me down for several days.
But since then I made a lot of progress, and the new feature is not far from being ready. As promised, here’s a video that shows exactly what it is: http://youtu.be/oYQKEn_y1xs
It’s a long one, because I couldn’t resist teaching that naughty bear a lesson :-)
In 1.21 I made massive changes to physics and creatures locomotion, all to support the new mechanic. These changes mean it will take some time until I get them all tested and all glitches smoothed out. For example today I discovered that due to the changes pressure plates no longer work :-)
This video does not tell the whole story. There’s a few new, unannounced animals still to come in 1.21. Hope you’ll like them.

Hey,I tried that too. I made a stable which accidentally trapped a pack of wolves. Then I opened the double door I fitted on their pen. I hit one and none of them went through the door. FIX THIS GLITCH/ BUG THING PLEEEEASE KAALUS!

Hey kaalus, can u add rifles like u need gunpowder then u create bullets but different kinds of bullets. But you have to craft the rifle. Oh yeah, could you add HD graphics, it’s too laggy.

That’s a good feature to add. It will be great for getting around faster. Was almost sure it was going to be clothing/armor though. Is clothing/armor not a possibility because it would eat up too much block resources? Is that still a restriction?

Hahahahahahaha that comment made my day! And kaalus, the mechanics of the horse moving looks incredible! I am blown away by how spot on you hit it! I’ve been playing SC for about half a year and I check this site EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. because I get so excited for every new feature that you create. Im still having loads of fun with the electricity and logic gates (still trying to make a counter but i cant quite get it right :/) and I cant wait to see what sorts of things I could make with any new electrics (I got a kick out of your iron maiden, brilliant.). I love the direction you are pointing the game in; if I wanted to play minecraft, then I’d play minecraft, but I want to play survivalcraft! I only have one complaint about SC: the recipe for compasses. I’ve never seen a compass made out of diamonds. One can make a crude compass by floating a piece of charged iron on a water surface. So, I think it would make more sense for the recipe to consist of a bucket of water, a plank, and an iron ingot, in a vertical pattern.
Thank you for putting so much hard work into this game, I really admire you. This game is absolutely phenomenal and I can’t wait for the next update!
That’d be awesome. They could come up out of holes in the ground. Maybe he could add grave yards with graves. It’d be like a spawned from Minecraft; at night a zombie rises out of a grave. That would be really awesome!
Zombies no, kaalus said don’t want to bring minecraft stuff, but if we have werewolfs we could have vampires, bats that stay in the cave at day and at night they leave and try to take your blood haha, and if we have villagers i think vampires could infect them like zombies do at minecraft

I agree, with maybe some lost realism from werewolves, Survival craft is far more realistic than Mine craft. Particularily due to the new character design. Great job Kaalus.

Hi Kaalus, as you are looking at adding a new bucket, not made of iron, so that he would gain the lava. Simply, you want to make the game more realistic. For example, you can add a random meteor. Block meteorite will be over strong, with it you can do things to robots, buckets, armor. They will be super strong. A bucket in turn can pick up the lava.

*boomboxes, or sterios: we can add music already downloaded onto out device, and insert it into tye boombox, or sterio
*whales: would be a very good idea in the ocean, to make it look more real
*mountainlions:make hills mor dangerous
*multiplayer: we could share worls to where more than one peson can go on it at once.
*animal tameing :maybe tameing cows to become cattle, wolves to become an imortant companion, and can help you with certain things..ect..
*i’ve seen somebody mention coral reefs, I think it would be a great idea to add stuff to the ocean to make it more alive than just an bottomless pit filled with water. And u could maybe add tiny fish into the ocean to make it more real.

I thought snakes, and mountainlions would be good, its more real, and kaalus should make bears more curious, in real life, blackbears are constantly breaking into houses, and terrorising people(in bear country that is).
Whoever posted one trackback, the reason horses are added is so we han travel farther, and a whoal lot faster. And you shouldnt post crap like that its extremely rude, kaalus works hard so we can get what we want. You are lucky him or somebody else doesn’t do something about it.

I just made my indoor zoo with an aqairium and a fasion show,FOR BEARS!
Survival Craft needs to be recommended by google marketplace. No blocky world on the marketplace runs as smooth on my HTC One X dual core as survival craft does (and I didn’t root my phone or anything). Minecraft runs at an incredible framerate but the world is tiny and gameplay is crushed by your masterpiece of a creation.
Horses is a much better and more realistic approach to transportation than minecraft could ever offer.
Future suggestions: Indian Tribes based off of environmental conditions that hang around teepees or adobe homes, cowboy hat (that improves your sneaking skills), a good all western shotgun that has no accuracy whatsoever, a cutting knife that is required to skin an animal to make a saddle, an online interactive store to trade in-game goods with other players, and specialty clothes and characters that have to be bought by the user to further fund your game (I’d buy them), and rattlesnakes that poison you (so traps can have a nice twist)
Also a level up system that is based off of goals- each goal will unlock a new craftmenship skill unlocking the ability to craft a new block or item.
Western music? This can be created easily with guitar pro 6 if you have any experience with music.
Humm… 2 rays, piranhas, sharks, horses and are coming more animals, and the wooden block with wire… Can we paint this block?

I know why he cant add multiplayer. Well I only knows one good reason, it wouldn’t work because when we sleep it skips time, but what would happen if the other person playing didn’t go to sleep? What would happen to him.
Simple just take out the ability to sleep or just work out an answer

i got the app on my kindle fire in February.Yet i only got 1 update. please make more updates and maybe you could put in horse sprawers, white bull sprawers, zombies or creepers.also since i cant get minecraft on my kindle,u put in more of those features ? U need to make animals attack other animals. Like a wolf can kill a boar. So when the update comes out we can have a pit full of sharks that will trap other animals and eat them!!! I’m sooooooo excited! !!!

I love survivalcraft alot. I am making a horse stable right now and I’m working on making a whole town on that world and I would love if we could have cars, trucks, and horse trailers. I would also be please with breeding any kind of animal and have little miniature types of those animals. I would love if you also add multiplayer through wifi and also servers so anyone can join my game around the world. Thanks!!!
Also can you add real beds, tables, couches ect. (Furniture) even fridges, cupboards, closet for clothes, (I would love to have different clothiers that aren’t all ripped up.) a girl person, (instead of always a boy.) dryer, washer, tv, pets, (Like bunnies, cats, dogs, hamster, rats, guinea pigs, gerbils, especially pigs!!) lamps, and anything else that is in a regular house hold. Anyway, I love the game otherwise!

How do you ride a wild horse without getting bucked off and a saddle?
This is immensely important. Do not make worlds have infinite space for harmless, cruel, challenging and adventure mode. It is better for creative mode. Make all harmless, cruel, challenging and adventure mode worlds have limited space in the next update.
And another thing, add multiplayer.
For more, I would like chickens, rabbits, hippopotamuses, peacocks, blue whales, pandas, hummingbirds, dolphins, penguins, seals, salmon, sea turtles, sheep, goats, giant squid and elephants for the animals, cake, sushi, hash browns, ice cream, donuts, mushroom soup, sandwiches and omelettes for the food and beds, couches, televisions, table lamps, fluorescent lamps, refrigerators, stools, tables and chairs for the household items.
Other things I would like are orca spawners, zebra riding, bigger boats which can fit animals, brown paint buckets, multi coloured paint buckets, egg cartons, coconut trees, other transportations, curtains, glass doors and feathers.
Breeding and crossbreeding?
It is a very good game mechanic for what I want to do in the game
