Work on the new mechanic to appear in 1.21 is going well. I am still struggling with one aspect, but hopefully I will nail it down eventually.
This will keep you guessing: because of this new mechanic I had to change the hero model, for the first time since 1.0! I was reluctant, I grew to like the old one, but now that it’s done I have no regrets.

Apart from that, 1.21 will also have one more aquatic species. A really nasty one. Will let you know in the next post.
Now time to sleep, two evenings in a row working until 3 am is too much :-)

Hi Olivia. Appearance is not the only reason I am changing the character model. The new one is compatible with the new secret game mechanic I am introducing in 1.21. The old one isn’t. So, unfortunately, it can’t stay.

I think the new feature should be farming so that you have a different food source rather than trying to kill a bunch of bears for food. I hunt by setting animals on fire. :)

I love this game so much, that when my wife bought me a nexus 7 for my birthday, the first app I purchased was survivalcraft. Now I have this game on my infuse and n7..and kaalus you were right..this game runs amazingly smooth on the n7…kudos on the hours of coding…your eyes must be bleeding by now lol

As for the water creatures, pleeaassee keep it as accurate and realistic as possible… I don’t really want to be attacked by 3 or 4 different aquatic creatures in a small and shallow body of water :) :)
I agree. And keep the animals realistic too. I don’t want to be attacked by a dragon or something. I like the idea of werewolves though. Oh maybe you could add a sea creature that’s extremely rare. Like a kraken! The way it killed you could be made awesome. Like it wrapped you in its tentacles and then it’s razor sharp teeth devoured you? I don’t know. But that sounds cool. But only if it’s made to be extremely rare.
Werewolf it’s nice, he could start do this things, like at day it’s a mob and at night turn into a new mob

lol, I agree, once when I was cutting down trees I only had an iron axe and all of a sudden, 2 werewolves attack me as well as a bear, and then I have to delete my best cruel difficulty world. :(
The new feature must be animal rideing, because it’s the only one that would require a change in how the charecter looks.
this would make the new animal a horse!
I dont spend much time in water, kaalus are you adding new dangers to land too? We need creatures entering buildings and attacking our structures, also sleep should only be possible in a bed because itstoo easy to just bring a piece of mud with you and sleep the werewolves away in a cave. Also JUNGLES! BIG CATS! ALLIGATORS!
Kaalus can you add a full stats bar ( i.e. all the stats of the character), which you can open by clicking on something at the top of the screen, this opens a bar which tells you hunger, thirst, tiredness, and heat comfort, you choose the effects. I think the life bar should stay where it is because you need to see that all the time, and an underwater breath bar next to it would be handy. You should be able to open the stats bar while moving.

There should under water breath becuase I never know when im out of breath, hunger and thirst so milk for thirst but no tiredness or heat stuff. Oh yeah there should a downloadable system for mods

Hi can I be on your survival Craft
Really like the new guy kaalus. I have an idea for taming and transport combined, could you add some sort of giant bird that lives on the top of mountains and if you throw a flower at it, you have a 20% chance of accepting it and becoming your pet, if doesn’t accept it roars at you and flies away, but if it does accept then you have to make a saddle ( out of wolf hide) and put it on the bird to ride it!
Who thinks this is a good idea?

I have an idea to survivalcraft what about pirates as enemies. Since on survivalcraft you get trown of a boat
and left behind. I think if there are like camps where it is pirates that have chests whit some good stuff f.e.x you can begin making treasure map. But I know this is much to ask but I think it had been cool. ;-)

He’s not changing the charecter for no reason. If I’m correct he’s doing it to add the game mechanic of ridding the new guy is 3D like all the animals, so that he can fit on their back and not look weird.
Put in maps for the world.Maps change after you do something to the world. Maps also come with the world even in cruel mode. If you die, your map will stay with you.

BUG: lightning apparently struck my house-in-progress, burned down half the roof of wood. When i discovered this, there was still crackling like itwas on fire. Two bloks of my stone wall had BURNED. In one blank space every few seconds there was the sound and graphics of a block burning away where it fizzes. Any blocks i placed there were fizzed away. I left, two days later it was back to normal. Huh?
All fire bugs similar to this one should be fixed in 1.21. See one of the earlier posts.
