I am making two more changes before I submit to Microsoft & Amazon, the new version number will be 1.20.2.
The changes are:
- When you die in Adventure Mode, you won’t respawn, but the adventure will be reset instead (i.e. after each death you will have to start the world from scratch)
- In Adventure Mode it will no longer be possible to destroy anything without tools. At the moment you can still destroy things which have DigResilience of 0. These include tall grass, torches, electric elements, etc.
Please let me know if this is a bad idea (I think it’s good, after playing some awesome maps uploaded to Community Content). When I submit there will be no way back for weeks.

I think it is a bad idea. What if you have no stone left? You cannot make tools. Also, isn’t that cruel mode when you have only one life yet?

To add to this I think to add the option of locked blocks on adventure mode would be an epic feature and could allow numerous different scenarios to take place
So if any block/item that has a dig resilience of 0 can only be destroyed by a tool…. Which tool?? Any of them??
Can you make it so the community can rate the content thats uploaded so its easy to find the best things to download and also a way to prevent incomplete texture packs
Rating is very usefull. And we need option to change category adventure, textures and so on.
First, the first option should be optional. Second, if I can’t break wood, dirt, etc without tools, how do I get tools to begin with?
Remember, this is for adventure mode.
Maybe stone chunk from gravel on beach can be first tool allowed to chop wood and dig dirt albeit slowest.

I don’t understand. It means there will be only “cruel” mode? It won’t be optional? If, yes, You’ll have baaad time because of user ratings (I think it’s stupid idea).
Now we can choose if we want to respawn (challenging mode) od completely die (cruel mode). It should stay that way.
Can you change the sleep button in creative to act like a quick save with can be accessed by the (non working) adventure button? It would be so much easier to redo things like testing bomb traps. As for the changes your adding in adventure mode, will the first one be a feature that can be turned on&off? The second on is fine.
i think it’s great if you make an item ‘extra life’ so designers have more control over adventure.
ie very long adventures that involve heights.
I like the second but not the first. Make the first one optional please. It makes all checkpoints on maps (parkour for instance ) obsolete.
you have some good ideas kaalus but when you die in andventure mode it restarts it dieing is frustrating enough on its own without haveing to build eavry thing over .

Although what if a map creator wants to have checkpoints in their maps? Then if you die the checkpoints are useless. Thats why there needs to be some sort of system like command blocks in minecraft to make adventure maps more convenient.

I like sleep points or checkpoints because it would obsolete my adventure maps. Including on one big one that has mine fields and what not.
I like the first change but i agree it should be optional. i have played a map that requires dying so it would ruin that adventure. Number 2 should probably be optional too, so builders have more options and can build it how they want.
I believe there is a problem with the photodiode. It stays off until day. And when light hits it it stays on and doesn’t go off. I have a pantech burst if that’s a factor.
Did you remember to use a NOT gate? And you need to position the diode so that any lights you have connected to it don’t shine on the diode.
hmm, i think you should make it possible in some way, for the author of the adventure map to change which blocks can be destroyed, maybe have it set to a default and have a list where you can tick/Untick boxes for what can/cant be destroyed
Its a really bad idea I hate this idea although I love this game I hate this idea it should be in options to choose if tools are useable or not useable please have it in options
In response to these ideas, is it possible to make it to where “machetes” cannot destroy blocks as well? I want the end user to have the ability to use machetes, but i do not want them to bypass certain areas by digging out blocks of any type. For example, the machete is only effective against mobs.
And wood don’t forget people use machetes to cut vegetation

That’s the point of 2nd change – machetes (or any other weapons) will no longer be able to destroy blocks in Adventure.
I have an idea for an update- villagers and and the ability to hire them.
Villagers would be cool! But I thi k multiplayer should be added, and if so, we should b able to change r skins! xp

Sprinting would be awesome I was thinking that earlier when i was getting chased by a bear lol. I was also wondering if you can make it to where you have free range of movement while you mine in split touch I love how I can use the control pad and mine but is it possible to incorporate the look as well. I do stop alot to line up my crosshair and I think that woud eliminate the need to keep adjusting it would feel much more smooth
Well i like the idea but you should add an increase on the maximum health in that mode if you do that

Hmm, the first idea first makes me think of losing a lot of time from hard work to make complex buildings and circuits, but if it could be turned off, then it could be a good challenge for new worlds to play around with. I currently only have one world that I’ve spent months building and love it, I’d hate to lose it, though I’m guessing I could use a backup to restore it. The second idea is good as long as we can still get wood, or start out with enough in inventory to build a crafting table, as well as enough wood for starter tools. The changes could take some of the casual feel away from the game if we don’t have the option to enable/disable them IMHO.

Yup, stone chunk would work for the first tool! Didn’t think of that. I play on Harmless and enjoy working to discover resources, so stone chunks would definitely be the logical choice to start off with. That answers my concern about the second change and like it. I’m still on the fence about the first one, not wanting to lose a huge amount of work in my main world, yet open to trying other worlds and risking losing everything, so I’m still voting optional for the first change for now. I think it’s bad to remove respawning. Some adventure maps are so extensive you NEED checkpoints. The second feature opens up opportunities for new puzzles in adventure maps. I like it.

Bedrock is in creative. I made (blew) a huge hole in the ground (with large gunpowder kegs). It blew the wall separating the sea and underground. And after a while, I hit bedrock. It is in creative!
I tbink he wants to place bedrock in creative when building maps so players cant dig or blast thru them as shortcut.
Just place regular stone and don’t give the player a pickaxe. No need for bedrock.
Why? Why? Make enough that people ask! Make armor and bait to the fish!
I have idea:Lighting rods that has the same shape ass spears but thicker,when you connect it to an electrical circuit and lighting strikes the rod,it gives a momentary signal.Please add an ‘Electricity block’.It works like redstone block in MC but needs electricity.(i.e i connect a battery to it and there is a switch connected to a door,the switch will not work if there is no battery.)
