One of the new features in 1.20 will be a block that burns forever.
A lot of people are requesting it, and it’s easy to add. It may be very useful in Adventure Mode, as a decoration or in fireplaces. Minecraft uses Netherrack for that. I don’t want to use supernatural stuff, so Survivalcraft will have coal blocks crafted of 9 coal chunks for that purpose. I think this idea was suggested by someone, but I can’t now find who that was. Thank you!

They can also be used as a fuel in the furnace, although they don’t last forever in there. Using 9 coal chunks separately will be more efficient.
Unlike diamond blocks, malachite blocks, copper blocks, etc. which all have to be crafted, coal blocks can actually be found underground, inside of rich coal veins.
As of today I am still working on the accessibility of texture packs (renamed to “block textures” in 1.20) and worlds. As a part of that work I have refactored large chunks of downloading/uploading logic, which will hopefully allow me to add more interesting stuff there later.

Great job this will be a great update can’t wait i have sent you an email about a possible piston variant update and a seasons update have you seen these emails yet i am not sure if you have seen them or if you haven’t because all the other people emailing you about the game for future updates please reply happy new to you also and thanks for a great game :)

Is it possible in a later update to add smoke from chimneys, or would this be to demanding on the game?
I haven’t though about smoke yet, but likely it’s too heavy on performance. There can be a very large number of blocks on fire in the game (they are cheap), so generating smoke has to be cheap as well. I don’t see how I could make it cheap.
It might be possible to do without sacrificing performance. Think of the fire in the lanterns. Using the same principle as the fire, but slowing down the rate of flicker a bit, and recoloring it to light grey and dark grey? Maybe twice as tall as the standard flame?

Don’t really care myself, but this part is mine;
What if you stick a coal block into a furnace it will turn into a diamond. This is done in real life also, though with massive pressure along with heat.
We could also have rotors or rotating tables
hey I have a idea for maybe 1.21. Can you make more house items like a bed and chair? Something to fill inside empty houses
Chair is same with stairs,bed is same with two slabs next to each other,table is a fence under pressure plate.Kaalus I accidentally found out how to make two slabs become a whole block.

How about some npc’s. I think that would add a lot to the game. Mind you I dunno if your already planning that or not. But it’s a thought. Also. It’s been mentioned before but I’ve noticed the armor placement slots but no ‘craftable’ clothing/armor. However so far so good. Love the electrics in 1.19. Continue the great work!

This game have many things for craft but few hostile mobs, the people want multiplayer but i think will not be funny multiplayer without agressive mobs…

If you mean native american’s or people from India i don’t think that would be very PC. The native americans were given the name by explore’rs who mistakingly thought they had actualy sailed around the world and had mistaken the america’s for india. It’s not a word that is appreciated now.

Believe me, Multiplayer has been asked for so much it’s crazy. But he’s already said in other posts that he won’t work on that as of yet, not until he’s finished up some details. I don’t know how much he wants to get done before Multiplayer or LAN play, but I can tell it won’t be for a while.
When he does add multiplayer i would like to be able to play multiplayer over bluetooth

I wouldn’t even use it, so best to add missing stuff – Hey here is ONE idea!: Add a PICTURE FRAME, where you can place on a wall and LOAD UP with an image found on the tablet (or even the internet through a URL, if possible!) – That would be AWESOME! It reminds me of the X-Beyond the Frontier game, where I placed my picture above my Space Factory… rotating in 3D, YEARS ago!

I think survivalcraft is very addictive game but has one big problem: food. Kaalus, you really shoud make more food types, like honey, fruits, fishes, etc.
It would take the “survival” aspect of the game though, if food came became too widely available…

A beehive. What attacks you when you harvest a beehive?

You could add more space at inventory, i think it’s small, you can add leather at bulls and cows to make a backpack maybe…, and you can add fishes to hunt, alligators and sharks, boat,fishing rod, rope to climb holes, more agressive mobs, maybe more bioms, and NPCs.
This is very descriptive. I like it! I was thinking too. I dunno if others find this irritating but how about a way to build on top of slabs.

Me neither. And like when I’m building a city and I have a road in survivalcraft, I like to use slabs as the sidewalk as it were but now with electrics in 1.19 and before I can’t place anything on them not even other blocks. This was just a thought

I though that torches burned forever already… Can you clarify their use, aside from decoration?
I am also hoping for a few more electronics components… Perhaps a crystal to emulate a clock! (i.e. on/off at specific intervals) – this would allow you to make blinking lights (easier than using latches I think)

You can build a periodic signal generator out of existing components, no need for special stuff here.
Exactly – the latches – hence why it would be nice to have a SINGLE component to do this… :P
But this is probably low priority, as most people might not be using electronics – it does make for a great way to learn it while playing… Good for learning kids!!!!

I’m not sure how useful gold would be though… Alone on an island, you would not need its ‘value’ ! Unless you allow golden objects to be made.. like golden statues and such! ( I envision a big golden status, built with a Torch inside – a la Halloween pumpkin – with glowing eyes!!!!! It could also allow for ‘aztec’ like objects :)

I was telling my son the SAME thing: by focusing on only one platform, a developer can save a lot of work compared to creating versions for all platforms!!
So I was telling him that was why (in my opinion) Survivalcraft is superior to Minecraft: Minecraft has many platforms to support, while SurvivalCraft can focus on Androids only (at least, as far as *I* know!). Of course, iOs is a big market and should certainly be considered at one point!

Not really, kaalus first developed this game for windows phone 7x … Then when he realised that windows phone was dead in the water, he made the game available for android. In my opinion, it would’ve been a lot easier to support IOS instead of android, as there are far fewer devices that the game needs testing on/ can be buggy…
However, for whatever other reasons, android was selected… Who knows, kaalus may be making an IOS version of survivalcraft now, he never mentioned that he was making survivalcraft for android until a few weeks before he released it
